EVERYONE: - Ongoing Poke'mon Starlight Edition

Prelude...

Striding with my trusty bike... heading to where every young people who still or no ambition to be a Poke’mon center, for me, I was very disappointed to myself, Oversleeping at the day of Trainer's Vow(An annual festival in Newbright Village where students become Poke’mon trainers). The sun today is the warmest, sweat drops from my cheeks but fortunately the north breeze hasn't left Starlight yet. Indeed, this is the best day to go swimming
At exactly 6:45 in the morning, I've reached the bike parking, leaving the bike there and went walking towards the school. Some students at the same school walk together with me in the gray road. Man, If I didn't overslept last week, I'll be collecting badges by now
"Good Morning!" A familiar voice greeted me as soon as I opened the door, his daily greeting smile told me that he practice it everyday in the mirror to attract girls. I looked around; it seems that no one cares about him. "Sup?"
"Still hot as hell, I never knew the desert decided to live at Starlight, wait... Andrew, can I copy one of your answers at History, My head suddenly drops while I'm doing my homework"
He throws the notebook from his desk to mine, how did he know I needed that notebook? Well anyways, there's still less time to do the assignment. I rushed down towards my desk and started to scribble some letters in my notebook the exact thing that happened yesterday.
Ah... finished!
I stretched my arm as far as I could, then stare blankly to the window, which is on my left. As usual, two to three Pidgeys flew in the sky, Some Fearow naps in the school rooftops and Professor Biology teacher's(I forgot the name) garden has some Oddish dancing in it, She told me that Oddish helped vegetables to grow more tastier and yummier. Nothing is unusual today. I closed my eyes for a while then opened it again. I was extremely shocked; I thought it was just my Illusion
I blinked the second time, but it's didn't disappear, a large phoenix flew at the large blue sky, for my current level of knowledge, that Poke’mon is a stuff of legend, known as the Ho-oh. Without thinking, I called Andrew
"Andrew lo-" I suddenly stopped as soon as I saw our professor, sitting on the teacher's desk. His stare told me that I'm going to have another F in his subject.
"Okay" Our Professor started, ignoring my interruption, "So let's begins, please put out all of your assignment and pass it to the front"
A sharp thing hits my back
"Your day dreaming again" Ferna said, sitting on my back.
"I'm not dreaming, apparently I saw Ho-oh outside the window and it's not a Illusion"
"Really? Well... someone told me that if someone saw a Ho-oh, good things will happen to him"
"That's for Mew, not Ho-oh"
"Anyway, if you really saw Ho-oh, then I'm happy for you but I wish I saw it too with my own eyes"

After lunch, Ferna, Andrew and I went to the gym, where my favorite class is held. The most awaited battle class. Inside, few people are already sitting randomly, including Sheena, the best student at our class.
"Looks like the king of battle class has arrived" Sheena smiled at us, unlike Andrew's smile, some student take a glanced at her.
"Can you cut out the title thingy?"
"Nonsense, you are the undefeated remnant at this school, even I doesn't have a chance" Sheena replied
Ugh... for the record, I win because luck suddenly went on my side. If we again battle, I'm 100% sure that you will win
"Better hold the title 'cause Professor Silkwood wants you to fight a transferee" She said
"A transferee?" Andrew asked
"We didn't have transfer students for a while" Ferna added
"And... Prof told me that he's good"
Argh... I'm building up stress, well... Sheena confirmed the student to be a boy and also, I don’t want to gave my title to a transferee, not in a million years.
"Okay, I save you some seats" She smiled again
The four of us sat in front, Professor Silkwood went inside the gym, holding her poke’ball case, her eyes met mine then she quickly smiled. A bad sign....

Chapter 1

Chapter 1 - Destiny

"Okay Michael go up here" Professor Silkwood motioned me, cutting the entire introduction. Just like an obedient little boy, I went to the stage. She gave me three poke ‘balls, without saying anything then she motioned another boy inside the curtain. The boy went to other edge of the stage, also holding three poke ‘balls. This must be the transferee, but He sure is familiar
My opponent for the day is a fat, bespectacled boy who likes to play with his glasses all day long. As for the height, he is nowhere near mines. From my point of view, he is not a Poke’mon trainer-material.
"Don’t judge the book by its cover" Said professor Silkwood, trying to figure what's inside my head
"So... let's battle" I said, with a proud tone inserted in it. As what our professor said, he has much more than what's he is outside, I'll be very careful on what strategy will choose
"The battle is three vs. three; Michael will use Kanto region Poke’mon while Jazon here will use hoenn starters. Trainers, pick your first Poke’mon"
The sound 'trainer' gives my spirit a huge jump; I really hate oversleeping
We both threw a poke’ball; a bulbasaur comes out from my poke’ball while Jazon picked Torchic. Looks like the goddess of luck suddenly change sides.
"Ready..."
"BATTLE!"
"Bulbasaur, razor leaf!"
"Torchic, Ember!"
That's the first time I heard the voice of Jazon. Torchic simply put my Bulbasaur's razor leaves into ash, I need a better strategy
While thinking of an another attack, Torchic suddenly rushed Bulbasaur
"Torchic peck attack!"
"Bulbasaur, Vine whip now!"
Bulbasaur released vine from its bulb-like back, it whip Torchic two times
"Torchic use-"
Suddenly, Bulbasaur release a seed from its back, and hit Torchic's head, Torchic's body began to cover itself with vines.
With a sudden pause, I break the ice
"Bulbasaur tackle!"
"With a full force of Bulbasaur's body, the entangled Torchic was smashed, Fainted
Oh yeah! Who’s the man now! Though I shouted it on my mind, I don’t have the guts to say it with my own lips.
Jazon returned Torchic and throws another one, Mudkip appears from the stage.
"Battle! Mudkip water gun!"
Not a good move, Grass type attacks can kill Mudkip with a single shot.
"Bulbasaur, jump then razor leaf!"
As commanded, Bulbasaur dodged by jumping and hastily released razor leaves from its back, Mudkip was hit, and because Water/Ground is no match against a grass type attacks, Mudkip falls down, unconscious.
Again, Jazon returned Mudkip and throws another poke'ball, his last Poke’mon was summon, the grass type Poke’mon named Treecko.
Though the battle was now on my side, Jazon still continued to battle, is it Hoenn's tradition or is he's just playing dumb? Well anyway, Grass type against a grass type is exciting, I should grab this chance
"Battle!" Both of us shouted
"Quick Attack Treecko!"
"Bulbasaur, defend using vine whip!"
Bulbasaur's vine helps him defend Treecko's quick attack
"Treecko Pound!"
Again Treecko smashed Bulbasaur with full force, Bulbasaur was pushed backward.
"Treecko, Pound the second time!"
Now's the time for a counter or else, Bulbasaur will be in trouble
"Bulbasaur, defend then tackle!"
Treecko's pound was again defended by Bulbasaur, Bulbasaur change from defensive to offensive, Bulbasaur hits Treecko, Treecko was pushed backward
"Treecko, Quick attack!"
"Bulbasaur, defend then counter!"
Again, Treecko's quick attack has been blocked by Bulbasaur then Bulbasaur went offensive, hitting Treecko the second time.
"Quick attack!" Shouted Jazon the third time
"Rinse and repeat!"
A perfect replay, Bulbasaur blocked its attack then countered with tackle

Both Poke’mon are exhausted, they released green aura from their bodies, a sign of desperation
"Overgrow?" Sheena asked
"Yes, I think so too, but both Poke’mon are not using grass type attacks because it's ineffective against each others" Replied Andrew

"Let's finish this, Bulbasaur razor leaf!"
"Treecko, Quick attack!"
Before the razor leaves touches Treecko, Treecko hastily move sideways, dodging Bulbasaur’s attack and smashed Bulbasaur with great force
"Now Bulbasaur! Throw Treecko upward!"
Bulbasaur tied its vine at the feet of the surprised Treecko's and forcefully throw it upward
"Now Treecko pound!"
"Bulbasaur Leech seed!"
Before Treecko reached Bulbasaur, Bulbasaur's Leech seed reached Treecko's body first; it began covering Treecko's body, immobilizing Treecko completely.
"Finish it with Skull bash!"
Bulbasaur jumped upward, hitting Treecko in mid-air, Treecko falls to the ground fainted.

Just as expected, everyone makes a huge applause, including our professor, the sound that enlightens someone's heart. After the battle, my opponent began to introduce himself
"Uhm... I-ii'm Jaa-z-o-n, fr-oom H-ooeenn, nice to m-eet you -all"
And with that, everyone applause, even though it's not a good introduction, so I myself clapped as well
"Oh, Michael, did you know that Jazon here is your cousin" Professor Silkwood said
Uhm... Professor, that's not a good joke, making bad jokes makes my ears bleed
"Uh... Michael?" Professor Silkwood looked at me without her usual smile
"Professor, are you serious?"
"Yes"
"He? My cousin? That can't be?"
"Yes, he is your cousin, no more, no less"
"Professor, don’t joke around"
"I'm not joking; Jazon here is your cousin" She then started to spelled cousin, argh... is this the prize of winning today's match?

And with that, I was forcefully took Jazon home, I would rather go chat with Andrew and Ferna at the tree house than going home early. As I push my bike at my left side, Jazon started to talk
"Uh... how come you’re in school?" Jazon asked, "Uhm... you're a talented trainer, but why do you intend to go to school instead?"
How could I answer this? Is the answer is 'I overslept at the day of the trainer's vow'? Or I should just ignore the whole entire question?
"You're really something Michael, going to school instead of going from town to town, trying to collect badges and compete to the Starlight Region League"
As a matter of fact mister, I really like to travel from town to town, collecting badges and competing in leagues.
"You think so?" I said
"For me, my interest is breeding, I only like to raise Poke’mon and help some trainers on the way. By the way I also like cooking"
You like to be a Poke’mon breeder? Well, you're in luck, cause need a Poke’mon breeder in my team who can cook, if I'm a Poke’mon trainer that is...
"You know what? Why don't you use your cooking ability at dinner, I'm sure mom wouldn't mind"

We entered a maroon house with a mini garden on the side, which is located at the end of Newbright city and fortunately the neighbor of the Weird Forest, for simpler explanation, my house. Inside, Lucario greet us with a warm smiled saying 'welcome home', for some reason, Lucario smile was just like Sheena's except for the fact that Lucario is a boy and he's a Poke’mon.
"Wow, a Lucario, where did you get it?" Jazon asked
"From the village’s tournament last year, got it when he was Riolu but last month, he evolved into a Lucario."
"The village tournament? That means my cousin is the best at Newbright City, just like Sheena said, but she told me that you're poor at academics
Yeah, Sheena's right, I'm really bad in academics, just got a D- at Biology while having an A at Battle Class. Compared to Sheena, she got all subjects from A to Z with an AA+. I really love to gave her a Queen of Academics title, I envy her

Time pass in a different way unlike yesterday, Jazon's mouth endlessly talks about the Hoenn region, even while he was cooking and changing clothes. Argh... I need to zip Jazon's mouth or else I'll faint at the spot

And just like other days, night surprising came very fast, thanks to him, Jazon stops talking and just like a Hoenn citizen, he make sure that he sleeps before 9 while for me, I don’t care even I stay awake all night. Sitting in the balcony with no one's presence except for the cold-night's breeze and the bright full moon, I began to close my eyes, it's not good sleeping in the balcony but it’s too late for that



12 o' clock...
I woke up, still sitting in the balcony; Lucario was now beside me, staring at the weird forest. He stared at me and again continues his staring at the Weird Forest.
"Hey, Lucario... what's up?" I asked. Lucario began to look from me and to the Forest, What's happening?
Without any signal, Lucario jumped outside the balcony, As a master and a good friend of Lucario, I'm the one who knows what Lucario was thinking but today, my mind disconnects with Lucario’s, why does Lucario went running to the weird forest at the time like this. While I'm searching my brain for some odd reason for why Lucario went trotting towards the Forest, I noticed something....
Three grown-ups, each holding cages from their back were walking towards the dark forest. The cage contains Poke’mon, one was Mightyena next is a Houndour and the last one is a... well...
Immediately, I wake up Jazon
"Jazon, I'm going to the forest, if I'm not here within an hour, please call mom" The half awake Jazon nodded then went back to sleep, while just like Lucario, I jumped from the balcony and silently trotted, following the three unknown thugs who also went inside the Forest



After minutes of following, they finally arrived at their destination, a secret lair of a known team which dominates the land last thirteen years according to the History books, the abandoned base of the Dark Legion...
The three entered the cave, and when I'm ready to run inside, someone pulled me backward.
"You're not safe in there" Hissed the one who pulled me; he's a boy, with a ridiculous mask in his face. A Pikachu was clinging on his back.
"Who are you?" I asked
"Well, you’ll know sooner or later, I'm only here to beat the crap of the dark league"
"Wait... How can I know that you're telling the truth and you're not one of the bad guys?"
"Just believe in me, you'll know my true identity in the near future"
Well... that's unbelieving, but I have no choice, I need to trust that mysterious boy
"Firstly, you can’t battle without some assistant, you can burrow one of my Poke’mon" said the Mysterious boy, he gave me a poke’ball.
"Okay, there's a door at the back, you silently entered it, once your inside, go for a straight path until you saw a black door, there you release that Poke’mon, understood?"
Oh yeah? Why do I have to do those things? And for your information, I don't know you? Though voice sounds familiar...
"You have to do what I say, the fate of Starlight rest in your hand"
Well... you've just trigger the correct word, there's nothing I can do but just do what you tell me to do



After that... I obediently followed the mysterious boy's direction without actually unrealizing what prize store for me later on. I entered the door with ease, went to a straight path, dodging watchers, tripping two or three times and merely escape some guards.
At last! I've reached the destination, now what did the masked boy told me, oh yeah! Come out Poke’mon!
I throw the poke’ball the mysterious boy lends me; A Scyther comes out from it. Wow! He totally lends me a Scyther, what a generous man.
Well the surprise doesn't end there, for some unknown reason, I've just triggered an alarm, guards flood the way from left to right, so... I have no choice; I went inside the black door



The lights went on...
There I saw an old man, together with a boy with the same age as mine
"A little rat?" The old man asked
"Yes sir, he triggered the poke’ball alarm"
"Uh... what's the poke’ball alarm?" I asked
"It alarms when you release a Poke’mon from a poke’ball" The old geezer said "Aren't schools today teach you that?"
Well... I can’t remember if they already teach me that. As for the mysterious boy... I'm gonna beat the crap out of him the next time I saw him
"Dad, I want to battle that boy" The boy said, he smiled at his father. The old man sighed
"Okay, since the boy is here, why don’t we have some fun?"
"Since you have a Scyther, I'm gonna use a fire type"
Talk about weaknesses
The boy throws a poke’ball, a Quilava appeared, the flames on its back make her more gorgeous, one day, I'm going to have a Quilava and I promise myself that
"Well Scyther, let's do our best" I said, Scyther nodded.
"BATTLE!"
"Quilava, Flame Thrower!"
"Scyther, Quick attack!"
Scyther dodged Quilava's flame thrower then hit it with a slash, Quilava tried to counter Scyther but Scyther hastily jumped backward.
"Focus Energy!"
Scyther's body began to cover itself with red aura
"That's not going to win this match, Quilava! Fire Spin!"
Quilava released a gigantic flame from his mouth, swirling towards Scyther.
"No holding back! Scyther, razor wind!"
As commanded, Scyther didn't move in his position instead he positioned itself, aiming at Quilava for a razor wind, Scyther was hit, smoke began to fill the area.
"Finish" The boy proclaimed
"Look again" I smiled at him, a smile a gambler does when he won a fortune. Scyther's razor wind flew towards Quilava and hit it. The boy responded with surprise
"Impossible!"
"Scyther, false swipe!"
Scyther flew towards Quilava at extreme speed and smashed it with its powerful blades
"Quilava, fire spin!"
"Scyther quick! Wing attack!"
Scyther moved hastily and hit Quilava before it use Fire Spin
"This is bad"
"Yeah I know, Scyther! Finish it Razor Wind!"
As expected, Quilava didn't move an inch, he accepted the full blow of Scyther's Razor Wind, Quilava was pushed backward, Quilava was fainted
The crowd was still at paused, looks like I've shocked them all with my huge performance, beat that Dark legion!
"E-hem" The old geezer started, looks like he is the first one to recover from the shock "You're a very talented trainer, and I’m very impress on your mini battle with my son"
I heard the word trainer again, oh boy...
"If you're interested, why don’t you join the legion?"
Joining the dark legion? The one who manifested the whole Starlight Region for about four years? There's no way I'm going to join you insignificant fools!
"As for the fact that we dark legions are going to rein Starlight once again, it’s up to you if you want to join the peoples who live by fear or the people that lives merrily. Stand at the side of Shadows and you'll be saved"
EH?
Even though my mind reluctantly deep in thoughts, I stood there, silent.
"What's the benefit when I join this Dark league?" I asked bravely
"You're a brave one, talking with a dark legion official with that tone. I told you already, you'll be the one who stepped among the weak, and if you like, I'll give you a higher position, and why not be my left hand?"
Again I was stood silent, though the crowd began to fill the room with murmurs, a left hand? That's a high position rank, I gladly accept it but my mouth seems to refuse it, poor me
"Well..."
"I--"
Before I continue, a large explosion happened at the back side of the room
"Yoh!"
There stood the mystery boy who put me all the way here
"Who are you?" Said the old geezer
"Uhm... you'll know sooner or later"
Seems like he is used to that word
"Michael c'mon, we haven't got all day" He said
"Wait, you're with him! That means you're a spy! Guards! Take them"
Without any option left, I rushed towards the mysterious boy's side. Two guards throw a poke’ball, a Pinsir and a Parasect appeared in their front.
"Okay, Pikachu go kick their butt!"
Pikachu jumped from his shoulders, Parasect and Pinsir make a battle pose.
"Pinsir bind!"
Pinsir hugged Pikachu and squeezed it Pikachu yelled in pain
"Pikachu thunder bolt!"
Pikachu released electricity from its body, electrifying both Pinsir and Parasect, Pinsir loose Pikachu
"Parasect slash!"
"Pikachu, Iron tail!"
Just like pushing a fast forward button, Pikachu dodge the slash and hit Parasect with iron tail at extreme speed. Then, without commanding, he followed it with quick attack. Parasect falls to the ground, fainted
"Return Scyther!" He shouted at me. As commanded, I returned Scyther back
"Darn those kids, but you can’t escape here"
"Really?" He asked as Pikachu went in front of him. "I don’t think so... Pikachu! Use Flash!"
Pikachu released a very bright light as if big bang was going for a second run. In a few seconds, the flashed disappeared, so are we...
"Darn you!!!"

We headed to the forest, he took me to the tree house where Andrew, Ferna and I made, and how come you drag me all the way here? And how do you know did place?
"*Sigh, It's been long since I went here" He said, what you've been here?
"Uh... mister? Who are you?" I asked
"You'll know sooner or later" He said as he sat on a corner of the tree house, the place where I usually sit. When he saw me staring at him he started to talk once again. "Uh... sorry if I drag you all up here, but I want a favor to ask you"
Uh...a favor what might that be?
"Do you know the three legendary birds?"
"Uh... yeah, I heard them at class, what about it?"
"I want you to look after them, and then asked them to give you an orb"
"An orb?"
"Yes, the orb consisted of their current elements, Articuno has blue orb, Zapdos was yellow orb and apparently, Moltres has the red orb, put them here" He puts out a lamp-like map, with three opening, so that's where the orb inserted. "After you completed the task, asked Paul on what to do next"
"Eh? Who's Paul?"
"You'll know sooner or later"
I hate it when he says that
"Well I better go; I need to help my comrades to eliminate the dark legion"
"Wait..."
He stopped before going out. There's no way I can met those birds and one more thing, I'm not a trainer, I'm stuck at school and I can’t go elsewhere but there.
Though the will of saying such things is flowing on my mind, my incapability to say such thing overrides it.
Suddenly he makes a chuckle sound
"I'll say it once, you're going to met those legends, and become a top trainer too at that young age, just have confidence in yourself and you're good to go. One more thing, you're going to be a trainer later this day"
How did he knew what my head was pondering, and one more thing, he told me that I'm going to be a trainer today? Is he using some witchcraft or something? The Trainer's vow had just finished last week, there's no way they're going to move it today. Argh! This is frustrating
"You'll know sooner or later" That's the last thing I've heard from the Mysterious boy who wear a ridiculous mask, will I met him at a distant future? I hope not, because that boy gives me all the trouble that I can have. I picked the lamp-like thing and went straight forward at my house. It was already sunrise and only two hours until school, will I take a leave today or still go to school without sleep, anyway... the mysterious boy told me that I'm going to be trainer today, so... I'm willing to go to school today.

Indeed, this is a very exciting night, I'm glad that I met that boy...

Chapter 2

CHAPTER 2 - STARTING OFF

I climbed the balcony with all my energy left, holding the lamp-like thing mister mysterious gave me. Inside, Jazon was still sleeping, I told him to tell mom if I didn't go home in an hour! But that's alright, I've gain experience today and that's more precious than a mother running some house to house, looking for his son
I put the lamp-like thing in my cabinet, and then went out to take a bath

Again... these words stumble on my mind...

"I'll say it once, you're going to met those legends, and become a top trainer too at that young age, just have confidence in yourself and you're good to go. One more thing, you're going to be a trainer later this day"

That is impossible, even if it's witchcraft or something. I went back inside my room and change clothes.
After changing, Jazon woke up
"Uh... what time is it?" He asked, half asleep
"Uh... 6:30 in the morning" I said. His eyes began to widen, he rushed towards the bathroom, together with his uniform.

After eating, we both headed to the school in feet. I took a glance at my watch, its 6:22 am
Surprisingly, Jazon kept his mouth shout until we reach the school
"See you later"
"Okay" Jazon replied and with that we took opposite routes.

As usual I entered the classroom, but the usual greet of Andrew is nowhere, again I looked at my clock, it still 6:35 am. I want to visit the library today. I put my bag in my desk then walk towards the library. There I saw someone I didn't expect to see...
Ferna was reading some books in the third desk. I went near her and tried to ask 'why are you here?'
"Why are you here?" She asked. Wait that's my line! No copying of sentence please or else I'll have nothing to say anymore
"Reading, what else?" I said
"Well... why don’t we read together?"

So... within twenty minutes, we read... though for me, I only look at some picture
"What are you looking for anyway?" She asked
"Uh... It is something like a lamp but it isn't. It also have three opening which rumors says that if three orb from the three legendary birds was inserted, something will happen"
Ferna think for a while...
"I think that's the Orblick"
Orblick? What a funny name
"And the three orbs contain the spirit of fire, water and lightning right?"
Wait... I didn't know that!
"So... what will happen if you completed those three orbs?"
"Uh... some books say that the law of physics will actually bend because the three elements are the equilibrium of the world"
Okay... I still don’t get it
"Wait... so if someone completed these artifacts, it will be the end of the world for us?"
"Some books says that"
Darn you Mysterious Boy, now you want me to destroy the world!
"Though other books says that great peace will come when it's completed"
I'm getting chills
"And another thing, they say that it’s used in time traveling"
Time traveling? So... the mysterious boy used the Orblick to go from the past and gave it to me, that's why he knew my future
"Although that was just a theory"
Okay, so let's cross the time travel thingy here

While in class, my head suddenly dropped from the desk, I tried to stay awake but my body couldn't is this the effect of not sleeping the whole night or is it just our teacher is very boring

"Michael..."
"Michael!"
"MICHAEL!!!"
I woke up, our professor Hummington was now looking at me with rage, and that means another F! Why do these things happen to me?
"As you entirely knew, I'll definitely give you an F- for your behavior. And not only that, I'll give you a detention for three weeks! Now how does that sound!"
As I lazily hear all of Professor Hummington's dictations. Someone knock to the door, the savior for today has come, and it's non other than my favorite teacher in school, professor Silkwood

"Can I burrow Mister Michael for a minute?" She asked
Sure you can! You can even keep me in your house if you want too
"Don't you see that I'm lecturing the boy because of his insignificant behavior?" Professor Hummington told Miss Silkwood
"I'm going to put him at the principal's office, that's more important than your stupid lecturing"
With a sound of defeat, Hummington said, "Go ahead"

My vigor sense began to work again as we headed to the principal's office, I don’t care what the principal will say. I'm just too happy to see the defeated face of professor Hummington in front of me
"Why are we heading to the principal office?" I asked
"You'll see" She replied.

She knocked at the principal's door, from inside someone shouted 'Come in'. Miss Silkwood opened the door, there... I saw the principal, very handsome indeed, wearing a formal dress which suits him very well. At his side, a beautiful girl stood, she noticed me that I was looking at her and smiled. Why does a beautiful girl doing in here?
"Uh sir, this is Michael" She said, but not to the principal but to the man who was sitting at the chair

It hit me again; the word trainer was used again in front of me. Sure I want to be a trainer, which was my dream
"Yes, I want to be" I replied with determination
"Well then... for your examination, I need you to battle this charming girl in your right"
So... she's a trainer eh? wait... an exam? whoah! this is getting interesting
"Cleo" She said

We headed to the gym, where the battle always occurs and my favorite place in the whole academy. Cleo and I went to each side of the stage
"Each trainers fights with one Poke’mon, so... Michael, choose yours" He throws five poke ‘balls. A Charmander, Squirtle, Pichu, Turtwig and a Geodude appeared from the stage. "So which one?"
"I'll pick..." I stopped, this will be the pick of my lifetime, is it Charmander? Squirtle? Pichu? Turtwig? Or Geodude? Argh! I want them all! Isn’t that possible? Okay, I'll choose the one that is nearest to my heart
"I'll pick Pichu" I said
"A Pichu, well then..." He gave me Pichu's poke’ball; I carried Pichu with my hands, very cute
"Pich-" He said
"Okay, what attack does this one use?"
"I'm glad you asked, since he started as a baby Poke’mon, he can use some attacks that a Pikachu used, also he knew the Volt tackle move, except for the fact that it's still imperfect"
Alright... So... my first Poke’mon is Pichu
"Michael, you're not a trainer yet, you have to defeat Cleo first or the deal was off"
Winning? Okay I'll do my best
Cleo throws a poke’ball, Happiny appeared on the stage
"Trainer's ready!"
"BATTLE!"
"Pichu! Thunderbolt!"
Pichu release electricity from its body, hitting Happiny, Happiny flinched
"Happiny, copycat!"
Happiny released electricity from its body just like Pichu did, Pichu stood tall
"Electricity isn't effective against Electric type Poke’mon"
"Pound Happiny!"
"Pichu, agility!"
Pichu glanced at me, saying that he didn't know that attack. Well then, I'll make an elaborate attack
"Pichu, ran Happiny in circle then use Tail whip"
As commanded, Pichu ran in circles, making Happiny dizzy and because of Tail whip, Happiny will be easy to defeat
"Pichu, thunder bolt!"
Pichu release electricity from his body and hit Happiny, Happiny falls down, fainted
"Yeah!" I ran and hug Pichu; in return he gave me a spark... Is this the beginning of a shocking experience?
I saw Cleo chuckles as he carry Happiny in her hand.
"I lost; you're good at battling Michael"
I heard that many times but it will no hurt if I heard it again
"You think so..."
"So... congratulation, you are now an official Poke’mon trainer, here's your pokedex, and your trainer's license. If you want to participate in the league, please go to Raysun Village; there... find a man who is in charge of the participants."
"Thanks"
"Well then" The principal started, "Would you mind if my daughter joins your party for a while?"
Your daughter? You mean Cleo? I'll be happier than ever
"Sure"
"That's settled, so if you arrived at Raysun, please call me" Professor Silkwood

"So... met me at the gate at four o' clock sharp, don’t be late" Cleo smiled then left, oh yeah... I need to pick up my bag at the classroom

I entered the classroom without knocking, all of them stared at me, including the worst teacher I've ever met, professor Hummington.
"Well... well... well... the so called king of battle class is here" He said
You're also calling me that? Geez...
"Now for the punishment, you need to get me a research paper of the three legendary birds and there contribution in this region, I repeat, a research paper with 20 paper, back and front, clear?"
Should I tell him that I'm going off road instead of sitting here at the classroom? Maybe later
"Yes sir"
"Good, now should I continue the lecture...?”
I sat down from my usual sit; a sharp thing touched my back
"What happened? Why didn't you object when Hummington told you that composed a twenty page of research paper?"
"Because, I've become a trainer today" I smiled
"Say what? A trainer?"
"Yeah" I gave the pokedex to Ferna
"Wow, I never thought that they'll give you a special exam"
Thanks to Miss Silkwood, I've become a trainer, now when History class is now out of session; I'll go straight to my house, put some necessary items at my bag then strode off with my sneakers.

After class, I said goodbye at Ferna then run outside the school, it’s 12:00 pm and I need to get ready or else Cleo will get angry and slash me to a million pieces.
"Mom I'm home!" I shouted as I entered the house, the house looked deserted, even Lucario didn't met me as he always do, I put my school bag in the sofa and went to the kitchen, there I saw two paper, I read the first the one

I burrowed Lucario for a short period of time if you don’t mind. Thanks in advance

There's no need to tell who borrowed Lucario, off course its the boy I meet in the weird forest, the one I called as the Mystery boy, well do as what your heart desires but don’t do anything that will harm my Lucario. Then I read the next paper


Dear Michael,

Congratulations Michael, you've finally achieved your goal, to be a trainer. Don’t oversleep again or else bad luck will happen. I'm at work now, something has happened and they need my presence to fix the entire problem, I'm terribly sorry.
I've packed your bag, together with your dad's poke’ belt, please take care of yourself

Mom,

Again, I was not surprise that my mom was not here but I was extremely surprise that my bag is already set. I throw Pichu’s poke’ball, off course Pichu comes out from it. Then put the poke’ball at the desk.

"Want some food?" I asked, Pichu smiled, he climbed the desk while I'm starting cooking. After eating we watched TV then played play station the last time



3:45 pm...
What! is it really 3:45, this watch is broken, well anyway better safe than sorry, I hastily change clothes and put my bag on my bag and dad's poke’ belt in my waist, it still has 2 poke’ball on it, better use it or else

I run together with Pichu, who is at my back. On the halfway of it I suddenly remembered two things, Pichu's poke’ball and my pokedex. I want to go back but Cleo must be waiting there, oh well...


4:10 pm...
"You're late" She smiled.
"Sorry about that"
"No problem, Alright... let's go"
So... the two of us headed at the same route, the route towards Raysun, as we walk like endlessly in the green path, Cleo said something...
"As a matter of fact, I don’t want to be a trainer"
Uh? Don’t you want to be a trainer? For me trainer is the best, I don’t like sitting and doing nothing and doing it almost everyday
"Why?" I asked
"Don’t get me wrong, but I want to be a Poke’mon nurse, I don’t want violence or some sort... The only person that disagrees me is my father and what a shame" She let out a huge sigh. "For you, I know you want to be a trainer, your on the top of the Academy's Battle class winning streak"
"Thanks for the praise, well... you’re right, I want to be a trainer... In fact, I remembered when I was young; I saw a battle tournament where my father battled and went top 1 in spite that good trainers lined up to battle him." I stared at Cleo for a while, also, his father was one of the best, and I saw him on the television, beating three Poke’mon with one of his. "You know... a nurse is great"
"You think so?"
"Yeah, they help trainers a lot; I can’t think that trainers exist without some nurse to help them with their daily travel"
And with that stupid sentence, she smiled...
"I see"
What did she just see?
"I'm glad that I've met you Michael, I'm looking forward to your matches though my dream lies to be a Poke’mon nurse from now on"
At least I put her spirit on high


After twenty minutes of pure walking, Cleo said "Let's rest for a while" for me, that am alright, we have all the time we need. Cleo put a rug from her bag and put it on the ground. She started putting out bread from its bag and gave the half to Michael.
"Thanks"
"No problem"
The sight of the whole roadway is just like I was imagining, there's no blackboard, no desk and chairs. The blue sky was full of white clouds, the cold wind blows from the left and the sun was covered by the cloud. From the left, I noticed something...
A Fearow, fierce fully attacking a starly. It’s obvious that starly doesn't have a chance but this starly seems to forget the word gave up. Every time it falls to the ground, it always flew upward. That's what determination meant
I stood, walking towards the two birds, battling. The Fearow saw me, also the starly.
"Why don’t you battle your own size" I said, Cleo went near me
Without signal, the Fearow flew towards me but starly tackled Fearow, changing its attention from mine to starly. Starly will be in very much trouble if this goes on
"He is telling us that it's his battle, not ours" Cleo said
Yeah, for some reason, I feel the same way as Cleo, though starly can’t talk, his way of doing tells me that; well anyway, I can’t do anything because his will surpassed mine

"Starly, listen. If we work together, you'll win against that Fearow!" I shouted, though I thought that he didn't hear what I am saying, he flew in front of me and nodded, that means it's time for battle!

"Starly, Agility!" I shouted, Fearow tried to peck starly but starly began to move fast.
"Now Wing attack!"
Starly smashed Fearow with its mighty little wings, Fearow screamed in pain
"Quick attack!"
Again, starly dodge Fearow's attack and hit Fearow with its beak. Starly flew away from Fearow
"Finish it with Aerial Ace!" Starly glide towards Fearow like an arrow, starly hit Fearow; it falls down the ground, unconscious.
"You did it" Cleo said
"Well, I can't make it without the help of starly"
And the next thing happened, starly falls down the ground.



We've reached the next village, the Raysun village with Starly was sound asleep on my hands. After healing at the Poke’mon Center, I'll go and register to battle in the Poke’mon League, just watch and see...
