with Ru/Sa turning out to be in the same timeline as FR/LG, and FR/LG giving us hints that the same events that happened in GS ARE gonna happen, do you think we'll see a Gold/Silver remake alongside DiaPer?

I definately think so, and I mean the GSC games were the best Pokemon games.
I would also like to see a Pokemon Stadium for the Gamecube or whatever system we'll have...

Pokemon Cubed
(get it gamecube, third installment, Pokemon to the third power, haha... I'm lame)
what do you guys think?

We have Stadium for the Gamecube already - just in the form of Pokémon Colosseum. I would personally prefer to see it for the DS.

A G/S Remake would also be cool, though we probably won't see it ffor a couple of years.

Anddid I miss something? When was R/S revealed to be in the same timeline as FR/LG?

It's in the game itself. When you bring the Ruby and Sapphire to the Communication Center in One Island, it goes online with Lanette's PC in Hoenn, thus allowing trade with Ru/Sa/E. This must mean that the events of Ru/Sa/E are going on at the same time as FR/LG.

It would be interesting if they made it so D/P are in the time frame of G/S/C, but you do realize that would have to mean that time would have to pass in Hoenn and Sevii 3 years? We already have Kanto 3 years later from G/S/C. I wonder what those 3 years would do to those locations, and if there is enough memory in a DS cart for 3-4 regions at once.

GSC Kanto is so darned depressing . . . Cinnabar's dead, everything is bland, the Pokemon population has gone wonky (Murkrow and Houndour can actually only be caught in Kanto! What's up with that?) Viridian Forest is almost dead.

Ugh.

I would love for them to remake Gold and Silver. As far as the games go, Johto was my favorite region. I also loved being able to travel through two different regions in the game. It kept me interested twice as long ^^ even though Kanto DID kind of suck. Gold and Silver had the BEST starters, IMO.

If they do remake it, I'd like to be able to evolve the Eevee into Umbreon or Espeon a lot easier. I think that when exposed to the Moon Stone, Eevee should evolve into Umbreon, and when exposed to the Sun Stone that you win in the bug-catching contest, it should evolve into Espeon. I don't like to keep my Eevee at the top of my party and lavish my attentions on it, I like to raise all of my pokemon equally. By the time I got my Eevee to evolve into Espeon/Umbreon, it couldn't learn any of it's GOOD moves because it had already passed the levels it learned them. I remember I also wished that I could get my hands on a Fire/Water/Thunder stone in JOHTO at the department store, or SOMEWHERE so I didn't have to wait until Cerulean City to show that stupid old man some of the pokemon his grandson told him about. He used to make me so mad when I showed him the wrong one.

old man: That isn't the pokemon my grandson told me about.
me: HOW THE F#@% DO YOU KNOW THAT?!

*ahem* [/ranting] Anyways, I would really like for them to remake the Gold and Silver games, but I'd like it even more if they made a few certain minor changes to the game.

I like all the pokemon games I would like to see a remake of gsc But what really pissed me off in fr/lg the wireless adapter it SUCKs. But I still like fr/lg I just hope there are no more wireless adapters in the futre games. but I hope they make gsc kanto better.

Eh, we can get all the GSC Pokes already, so that wouldn't be a use for it. Except for...GETTING LUGIA WITHOUT CHEATING OR GOING TO AN EVENT. I think that'd make it all worthwhile. Johto was interesting, but I agree that Kanto would need an extreme makeover. Cartridge space should not be an issue. And no stupid "we're too lazy to make real animations so we'll just distort sprites" Pokemon sprites, please.

With the last of Johto pogeys available on Pokemon Colosseum, they probably won't. Making a G/S remake means that people won't have to shell out extra money for the GC/GBA wire adaptor and the GBA cartridge reader to people interested in filling their pokédex up. Which means Nintendo will lose money and get all PMSy. So chances are, they won't do it.

...Sonuvabecky.

I'd want one though, horribly bad. Why should the Johto region get left out among all the spiffy goodness that is 'upgrade'? Is Kanto such a more important place that its neighbor won't get so much as a second glance, to be lost in the folds of time as second rate forever?

o_O No offense though, but I wouldn't want the Silver game to be called 'Moon Silver'.

I grew up with Gold and Typhlosion/Ho-oh. I want them back. I want to fry things. BURN!!!!! Muahahaha. Anyway, a GSC remake would be so cool I'd HAVE to have it immediatly. Seriously.

Actually, I'd really like a GSC-remake. While I'd like it on GBA, it's probably, if ever done, a DS-game. Also, I think the names should be "Sunshine Gold" and "Moonlight Silver".

actually I thought they were a good length
Crystal was simply amazing
RBY and RS were short compared to GSC
I haven't Emerald yet

and with Pokemon XD coming out, they'll be even less a reason for a GSC remake
because we'll be able to catch a legit Lugia, without a nintendo event

GREAT!... </sarcasm>

You missed one important point - Johto was SHORT, and Kanto... barely even started before you finished it. GSC are actually the shortest of the Pokemon games plotwise - the whole two region thing is quite deceptive.

It took ME twice as long to get through the GSC games than it did Red, Blue, or Yellow. ^^;;; Heh heh. Maybe it's because I always switched to a totally new team when I got to Kanto, or I could just be a slow gamer...

I played through Gold recently - 15 hours to the last Kanto gym battle.

Emerald - 20 hours to beat Wallace

Fire Red - 20 hours to beat the Rocket Admin on Island 5

Red - 25 hours to beat the Elite 4

However, one must account for the lack of running shoes in RBYGSC - so the numbers are a bit off.

I'd love to see a remake of GSC... IMO they were the best of the games...

I know you can still catch all of the GSC pokemon in the GBA games, but its more fun to catch them before you beat the Elite 4, so you can actually raise them... But here's what I'd like to see... Start out in Kanto, beat the gyms, the Elite 4, etc... have all the Kanto pokemon in the Kanto region. Then Johto, and then Hoenn... with each set of pokemon in their respective regions. Then, have a Grand Champion who you can only battle after you defeat the Elite 4 of Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn...

If they remade Crystal, I'd spontaneously combust. Best. Pokémon. Game. Ever.
