Pokémon TCG Pocket Outernet launch event
The Pokémon Company International is going to be hosting a slightly belated launch event for the new mobile game Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, a digital adaptation of the Pokémon TCG, which will launch worldwide on October 30th. The launch event will be held from 10 am to 7 pm on November 9th and from 11:15 am to 7 pm on November 10th at Outernet, an events complex in central London that features screens covering its walls.

Visitors will have the opportunity to open a Genetic Apex booster pack on the big screens, which is the first expansion to be released in the Pokémon TCG Pocket game. Some packs will contain immersive cards, which will play grand animations on the extra large screens. Visitors to the launch event will also be able to take pictures with Captain Pikachu in front of a digital Pokémon Horizons: The Series backdrop, and have their photos displayed on the wall.

Pokémon GO players will be able to find exclusive PokéStops around Outernet during the launch event, as well as Timed Research tasks. The new trailer for Gigantamax being added to Pokémon GO, with music by Emmy Award–winning composer Ramin Djawadi, will be playing in Outernet’s Now Pop Up 2 space.

Finally, a 4 Diamond rarity Pikachu ex card will be hidden somewhere in the event space. Visitors who find the card and show it (or a picture of it) to a staff member will receive a code for a free Sitting Pikachu Poké Plush with an eligible purchase from the Pokémon Center UK. Only 2,000 codes will be distributed. This immersive launch event is open and free to the public, and downloading Pokémon TCG Pocket is not required to attend or participate.
