Hello fellow pokefans!

I appologize about starting a thread before I really had many posts on my post count. I just really would like to give you guys who haven't followed the tcg. I stopped when I fell off of pokemon, which was about 2 years ago, now I'm back and ready to rock!

I'd like to start with pokemon leagues.

- Pokemon leagues are still packed wall to wall with fans that want to play pokemon! Unfortunately... it highly depends on where you live.

- Pokemon League regulars are ALWAYS willing to invite you in, I felt welcome within the first week (which is one day).

-To find the nearest pokemon league go here.

- The Pokemon league is THE place to go to get rare cards, people usually have 10 different kinds of the pokemon you want in your deck, which is also great if you are just a collector, which I think is just wrong, my opinion. If someone has many copies of that card, they are likely to trade it for something lame that they might not have in their collection.

- You usually WILL see cards that nobody has ever seen before. I saw a misprinted mewtwo that's picture was a mew, it had 1,500 health. No, it wasn't a fake. It was worth a few thousand dollars as well. Some guy gave it to her free... heh....

- Whenever a new pokemon card set comes out. Each pokemon league holds a special tournament called the "Pre-Release tourney," You pay 20 bucks to get into it,(the pokemon league is free any other day). You are equipped with about 6-8 boosters which you then make a deck using only those cards, the league will have energies for you since most boosters dont have many(which is a good thing). You are matched up with another player in the first round, you usaually do a single pokemon battle but I've done a double battle at a pre-release. As you progress through the tournament you get steps closer to winning.

1st prize: The entire box set(usually has like 32 boosters or so-YIKES-), I think you also get the decks for the card series as well
2nd prize: Half of the box set, you get the decks for the card series.
3rd prize: 8 boosters(or so), with the decks of the card series as well.
4th prize: The decks of the card series, 4 boosters
5th prize: one deck, 4 boosters
6th prize: 4 boosters
-all the rest of the ranks give you 4 boosters, it depends what tourney you go to, each place has their own prizes and such, its usually this way though.-

THE US CHAMPIONSHIP TCG TOURNAMENT!

This is what all your badges in the league have brought you to!(yes, the league gets you badges)

- You dont need badges to participate, but the badges sure are shiny! And they are actuallly pins and look nice.

- With a short travel on a airplane, you too can have a shot at becoming the best trainer in the entire US! Other countries come from all over the world to compete as well. The location changes every year, last year, it was in orlando florida, I was soooo close to going.

hint: the best way to get your parents to go is by telling them that a great place to go for the anual family vacation would be, and then you say the name of the city the tournament takes place, it really works, if my mom didnt have surgery, I would have gone, but my mom is my family, so I gotta be there for her. The city that the tourney takes place in is always a place that your family would consider visiting for a few days, and hint at the tournament until, you can they can handle the fact that you wanna go there just for the tourney.

If you don't wanna do all that stuff, then read this...

-dark screen-
Soon enough... A Pokemon mmorpg will rise...[low narrator voice]

POKEMON BATTLEFIELD![really cool font with a few flashes]

Some believed it would only contain rpg style batting...

THEY WERE WRONG[goes to a silent fade]

This summer!

Be prepared for a Online Pokemon Game that includes the TCG!

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED[end commercial]

But seriously, its a game I've been working on for a while, so be ready for it, I want it to be a total surprise when it comes out, so no peaking!

I'll be ready to answer any questions, but I dont wanna give too many plot details.

I hope this topic has helped as far as wheather you guys wanna be part of the real pokemon adventure.

-Plo

Oh, so it's a helpful yet advertising thread?

Thanks, I guess.

well, it was a well thought out thread, so I decided to put an advertisement at the end, like on TV... I dont see why not

I don't mind. It sounds pretty good anyway. You seem like a good poster who thinks out his posts and everything.

wow thanks!:) I really did think it out pretty well.... The TCG forums arent very active on bulbagarden are they? lol XD

Not really, actually. It's a shame. The TCG is just as interesting as the Games or Anime.

Seems like it would almost be more interesting, since you are basically actually having a pokemon adventure in real life.

I agree the TCG is great! But what is this game your working on... release date maybe? Is it like a homebrew thing or what?

It's an MMORPG.

Too bad I live in Canada, where the Pokémon League went out along with WotC.
