Pokemon that benifit from not evolving them right away

Going back and playing, I'm curious to what pokemon will benifit. I know that Torchic will learn flamethrower if you wait a little longer. Any other pokemon?

An obvious one is Pikachu. Raichu cannot not learn any moves from leveling, so you'll have to rely on TMs to compensate. Other than that, off the top of my head, I believe Eelektross cannot learn moves from leveling, too.

Most stone evolved pokemon that aren't related to Eevee learn very little moves if at all. Shroomish learns spore but Breloom doesn't.

In general, look up any Bulbapedia page that includes moves "learned by a previous evolution".

One that immediately comes to my mind is Riolu. Riolus learn Force Palm at Lv.15, but Lucarios can't learn it at all in XY (they learn Power-Up Punch instead).

As has been noted, most stone-based evolutions get their ability to learn new moves cut off if they evolve too quickly, although the introduction of infinitely reusable TMs from Gen V onwards has somewhat lessened the severity of this. Before, it was harder to justify wasting a one-off TM on a pokemon which would learn the same move eventually with a bit of patience, but now it's scarcely an issue at all.

Pokémon that learns attacks their evolution (whether it is by level up, via a stone or via trading) cannot learn otherwise. Chimchar is an example, learning Nasty Plot at level 23. Its evolution can't get this move in any other way than leaving a Chimchar unevolved until this level.

Nidorino benefits greatly from leveling up before using a Moon Stone to evolve into Nidoking. If you evolve Nidorino after right after evolving from Nidoran, then Nidoking can only learn 4 moves by leveling up. However, if you wait to evolve Nidorino until level 43, he'll learn 6 moves up to that point, including his most powerful level-up poison move, Poison Jab. Then, if you use a Moon Stone at level 43, Nidoking will learn Earth Power, which isn't quite as powerful as Earthquake, but it's pretty legit. Nidoking will also get Megahorn at level 58, which covers its Psychic weakness. Nidorino won't be able to learn Megahorn at all, and only learns Captivate and Horn Drill (which is a one-hit KO but has only 30% accuracy) past Poison Jab.

A load of grass types learning giga drain since they removed it from being a TM.

I think we need to list Pokemon here that aren't evolved via a stone. Ones like the Elemental Monkeys, Raichu, Chandelure etc are always going to be like that.

Chimchar and Monferno can learn slack off by level but Infernape can't.
Slowpoke/Slowbro also can learn slack off but Slowking can't, but Slowking is one of the few pokes to learn trump card.
Sneasel learns beat up by level but Weavile doesn't.

Some baby pokemon are useful for this, learning moves their evolved forms can't (such as sweet kiss).

Shaymin and Deoxys's formes also count i think, because they learn different moves at the same level depending on which forme they're in at the time. At least Heart scales can be used on them if your plan goes awry.

Scyther, Lotad, Seedot, Shroomish, Poochyena, Zigzagoon, Surskit, Slakoth/Vigoroth, Nincada, Trapinch, Swablu: all non-stone evolvers that have moves exclusive to their stage of evo. (Also mostly gen 3).

Eevee learns trump card at a much later level, making it extremely viable in sun/moon generation, because of extreme evoboost, into baton pass

Everyone playing Black and White with Pansear do yourselves a favor and don't evolve the Pansear until it learns Flame Burst at Level 22. Don't be like me, who evolved it at Level 21 or so the moment I got a Fire Stone and got stuck with Incinerate as my only STAB move on Pansear until Mistralton. That move has only 30 base power in Gen 5! Thank me later.
