Pokemon that make you want to scratch your head or hit someone

First off, I am Kevin aka MetaSalamence. I just started here yesterday. I love the idea of this forum. Anyways, what's up and hope to make new friends and possibly battle some of you when I get my wifi/Friend code for Platinum.

Anyways, recently, I been looking at the National Dex and I scanned it over and there were some pokemon that really made me stop and double take.

Firstly its Unown. This pokemon really serves no point I think. I don't know why but this thing is not salvageable and is particularly useless in combat.

Smeargle looks cool, but his stats are really poor and is a good addition to any team.

Azurill: I don't think this pokemon has any function other than to look cute and be a pet.

Vibrava: How is this pokemon a Dragon?? I really don't understand. Look at it and then look at is preevolution and its evolution. This entire species family tree is completely wacked.

Altaria: How is Altaria a dragon?? It's a fluffy bird and then you look at Salamence :drool: or Dragonite... Altaria a dragon?? Huh!

Castform: I really dislike this one. It is probably my least liked pokemon of every single one in the pokedex. It is a ball with balls(testicles)....Come on Nintendo?!

Burmy (all 3) and its Wormadam (all 3) evolution: I absolutely do not like. They are all useless and extremely ugly. Sorry that is my opinion. I dislike them all. Mothim is really cool, but Burmy and Wormadam are sad cases to be considered pokemon.

Happiny: Why does it exist? Chansey was fine enough with its evolution into Blissey. Another useless baby pokemon.

Chingling is definitely a Pokemon that made me say, "WTF was this thing created for?"

What possessed GameFreak to give a pre-evolution to Chimecho of all Pokemon is beyond me.
 
Gorebyss is ugly.
And all the Pokémon like Kricketune.. I don't know how to explain them.
Stupidly designed?
 
Castform is at least an interesting idea. Baby Pokémon don't really add anything to the gameplay, so I'm not a fan of most of them either. On occasion, they're adorable (Igglybuff, for instance), but most of them are pointless.

And redundant Pokémon. I understand how lame it would be to have the same Pokémon in every game up until the first gym (not like they had any problem doing it with Zubat and Geodude), but they could at least throw some more variety into it than worms/caterpillars that turn into flying insects. I commend them on trying something different with Burmy, but I still think it's kind of poorly designed.

Castform is one of my favourite pokemon. its the only one at that time that could change with weather and make it useful in battles and the only one that is like that is cherrim, but it does not have the formes that castform does.

Happiny I think was created, like pichu as chansey was popular. Like cleffa, which I dislike.

In games they don't serve much point, but for anime/movie purposes they do. I don't like or dislike them

Elekid was a pre-evolution that was useful and not just a cute baby.

I don't really like cherubi, a battling berry? Guess they just wanted something different and that was it.

Bidoof I don't really like, but I think it was created becasue they wanted a beaver like pokemon.

Basically drifloon/drifblim are supposed to be hot air balloons. They may look weird, but I came up against one in a wifi battle that almost smoked my three pokemon, so they can be good for battling.
 
Anything that paralyzes, poisons or confuses your team members. That means the Zubat line, for example. Linoone too, they're strong in the wild and difficult to escape.

Edit: Ah, this was about the designs. *facepalm* I'll edit my opinions about them later.

Nosepass ... ... just the design. It's a rock with a giant nose. I'm so confused. XD But I like to make teams with it 'cause it's so weird, and it's not half-bad otherwise.

Random fish pokémon like Finneon, Luvdisc, and Sharpedo. Just forgettable, mainly. Though Luvdisc is suuuuper cute. Another one of those is Corsola. D: I donno, they just seem like more life to fill up the sea.

Gyarados the sual type doesn't even make any sense I mean part water part flying DUDE!!!! It can't even fly at all!!! It barely has wings! If you look at Mantine it looks as if it has wings so it's like an underwater bird and Wingull and Pelipper they can learn the move Fly which is a good use for quick transportation
 
The entire Marril familly has always irritated me. I don't know if it's their lazy designs, irritating anime cries or the fact that they're failures at Pikachu-esque pokemon that just keep coming back for more, but whatever the reason, I don't like 'em.
 
A few I just hate...
Pink/West Sea Shellos. They're just so annoying and ugly. They look like they have an udder on their heads, for pete's sake.

Both versions of Gastrodon. Again, annoying and ugly. And their stupid cries! *Punches something*

Kricketune. No. Just no. I think most bug Pokemon are all right (ironic 'cause I fear anything able to be called a "bug" in real life) but Kricketune... yuck.

Probopass. What, does it want to be Mario or something? Seriously, WTF?

Bidoof & Bibarel. The one I have in Diamond is named "Bucky". The one I have in Platinum is named "Doofus". 'Nough said.

That's all I can think of for now, though I'm sure there's more...
 
Design-wise, I hate Bidoof, Blissey, and Dragonite (it's a shame, I liked the first two evolutions) with a passion.

Yeah, have you seen platinums sprites for shellos? I hate even looking at them.
 
I'm a bit too tired to think of what Pokémon I like and dislike...


However, sometimes, I do feel quite a bit angry about my new Primplup (really...I kinda wish I kept it as a Piplup. not that I don't like Primplup or anything, Primplup is pretty cute, too...I just kind of miss my Piplup, for some reason. x.x Not sure I can put my finger on it, but...meh.).


Other than that, though...I can't really think of any Pokemon I really dislike at the moment. o-0; I mean, I dislike some of the ugly ones, but it's not like I feel like beating myself up over them or anything...
