Okay, I want to start a thread for people to suggest which pokemon should get a baby form in the next generation of Pokemon games.

I say we should get baby:

Onyx
Nidoran (one that evolves into one or other based on gender)
Kangaskan

and that is all I can think of right now, but I might post more later.

Minun-Plusle breed only baby form with some sort of Inscence attached. Evolves into Minun/Plusle with higher Attack/Defense (Hitmonchan/Hitmonlee effect) but of course both Minun plusle and this new baby would need revamped movesets. Also to throw in a idea, this baby can be a neutrally chraged Pokemon, and just like in life, it will be like an ion, gained electrons= negative lost electrons=positive. Higher attack= Minun, Higher Defense, less attack=Plusle

Yeah, Kangaskhan definitely. I can't believe the series has gone on this long without one.

Okay, as far as Tarous/Miltank goes, I think that it would be awesome to have a baby bovine that resembles one or the other based on its gender, although we could take it one step further and add two levels, rather than one. First start with a calf that has black and white spots if female, and is brown if male and hooves to match adult Tarous. Then it evolves and grows small horns and the female gets the split hooves while the male grows the mane of fur around its head. Then they evolve into full form! Something like this would work best.

As far as Kangaskhan goes, they would either need to make it not female only and add a nonpouched male, or create a new male equivalent that could breed with it. Although I think the tiny baby seen in the pouch might be a little too young to be used as a regular pokemon, and wouldn't be seen separately till they were larger. In fact, the reason for no Kangaskhan baby yet could be due to the fact that they are reared in the pouch till a late age, making them rare to find.

Nidoran doesn't need to have a baby specifically, but it should be noted in the in-game pokedex that they are indeed the same pokemon but where originally believed to be separate when added and due to the major difference between genders get their own entries. But whatever they do, they shouldn't be named Nidoran(female) and Nidoran(male) but instead be represented as the same pokemon with two dex entries.

I think GF have purposefully avoided a Kangaskhan pre-evo. It's such an obvious idea - the design is basically there already - that they must have been avoiding it for a reason. I think it's probably because hatching Kangaskhan from an egg makes such little sense as it is, and now they'd have the problem of explaining where the baby comes from when it evolves too.

Someone once mentioned the theory that Kangaskhan's baby is actually its much smaller twin, and they have some kind of symbiotic relationship. I have to say, that does make a certain amount of sense.

I have to say though, it doesn't make sense to me that pokemon would hatch from eggs in the first place. I think the main reason they made them hatch from eggs was for convenience in the Generation II games. I think that certain pokemon would hatch from eggs, but some pokemon should actually be born as babies only. This would include the Kangaskhan. This would afford them the best overall experience and make more sense then requiring every pokemon hatch from an egg.

They seem to reserve baby Pokémon for Pokémon that fit certain criteria.

1. The base stat total appears too high to be a basic form. Snorlax, Mantine and Chimecho are all examples.

2. Pokémon belonging to certain egg groups are more likely to get baby forms. There are currently 6 baby Pokémon that evolve into Humanshape Pokémon while 7 others evolve into Fairy Pokémon. Oddly, certain egg groups are very unlikely to get babies. The Ground egg group comes to mind. Hence why Meowth, Miltank and certain others don't have baby forms.

3. Popularity: Probaby the least-defined reason. Some Pokémon get baby forms because they prove to be very popular with the audiences. If Pokémon A is popular, then the baby of Pokémon A should also be popular...

Lickitung, for sure!

Like everyone else said: Kanghaskan. That baby sitting in its pouch should be considered as a baby Pokemon.

Also:
-Absol (Absol is too strong to have an evolved form)
-Tauros/Miltank

Farfetch'd, game freak should give him a baby form instead of an evolution just for teh lulz.

Wait.... Since when does farfetchd have an evolution? I'd love a miltank/tauros baby. I'd also like scyther, pinsir and heracross got pre evos

Solrock & Lunatone should have like a baby form like a meteor and use a moon or sun stone to evolve.

I think a little Tangela baby could be adorable!

Meowth, Mankey, and Growlithe,
perhaps Unown baby that is just the eye (period)
Girafarig, Shuckle, Delibird, Skarmory, and Stantler,
Tropius,
Pachirisu, Carnivine, and Snover

These are the ones I add to my list overall.
