This thread's about Pokemon you think should have different types. I think these Pokemon should get different types:

Gligar should be Poison/Flying
Gliscor should be Dark/Flying
Drapion should be Bug/Dark
Syther should be Bug/Fighting
Magmar/Magmortar should be Fire/Fighting

glalie should be dark and ice fo sho :) when it evolved i was WELL unhappy it wasnt dark

They can still produce light and can learn most Electric moves.

I have absolutely no idea why Gyarados is a Water/Flying when it clearly does not fly. Water/Dragon would make much more sense.

I believe they said it was due to balance issues, since a Water/Dragon type wouldn't be very weak and would be hard to take down, because at that time, the only thing that could've super effective against a Water/Dragon Gyarados would be another Gyarados, and or the Dratini line.

Of course I'm not sure how true that is, just what I heard.

Maybe Gyarados is flying because it's 4x weak to electric attacks, if it was part dragon electric attacks would be neutral. I'm talking about realistically why Gyarados is flying, because of it's weakness to electric attacks.

If Gyarados was Water/Dragon, then the only SE attack against it would be a Dragon type, similar to Kingdra, and Gyarados is pretty damn strong as it is. With that 125 base Attack, you really want to take it out as fast as you possibly can, and a bulky Water/Dragon Gyarados could be extremely scary o_O So I'm guessing that's where that type came from... from a non game-stat direction, it does make more sense for it to be Water/Dragon...

Syther should be Bug/Fighting

Just out of curiosity, how come? I think Bug/Flying fits it pretty well.

But at the same time, it would be pretty cool for Scyther to have a separate evo line into a Bug/Fighting type, so it could go to either Scizor or X pokemon ^^

it would make more sense psyically to make it water/dragon, but it would make it just about unstoppable as a pokemon in the game.

Gligar should be Poison/Flying

Why Poison, because of its color? I like Gliscor, ground type that is flying too... if it had wings like a bird or one of the dragons, I'd have issues with the flying because of the ground thing, but since it flies by using up drafts of air, its fine.

well, idk about that, maybe cause it would become too strong if it were part Dragon. Explains why it can learn dragon moves and is based of a sea dragon.

Yeah, it looks pretty creepy (in Gen III anyway) and its shiny with red eyes looks more so, I thought it should be Ice/Dark too.

Syther should be Bug/Fighting

I disagree, now pinsir should be part fighting, has that look about it, would rival heracross then.

Ninetails should have been Fire/Ghost or Fire/Psychic. It lays a 1000 year curse on you and learns numerous ghost/psychic support moves. Plus it makes illusions in the anime. They all sound very ghost or psychic to me.

Well, continuing my last post here, I think these pokemon should also get different types:

Aerodactyl should be Dragon/Flying because It doesn't even LOOK like a Rock Type.
Azurill should be Water Type
Bellsprout and Oddish should be pure Grass Type
Bonsly and Sudowoodo should be Rock/Grass
Bulbasaur should be pure Grass Type
Charizard should be Fire/Dragon Type
Gyrados should be Water/Dragon Type
Larvitar, Pupitar, and Tyranitar should all be Dragon/Ground
Trapinch should be Bug/Ground Type
Vibrava should be Bug/Flying type
Flygon should be Dragon/Flying Type
Chimecho and Chingling should be Psychic/Flying Type
Gorebyss, Psyduck, and Golduck should be Water/Psychic type
Huntail should be Water/Dark type.

That's all I can think of now.

Azurill should be Water Type

Yes, Azurill should. Why it isn't I do not know.

I think Aerodactyl was a rock type because he was a fossil.
