Have you got a pokemon that you have used in competitive battles and done well with it? Post here!

Mine is my Emploeon. I don't remember stats as I can't find my pearl game but it was like this:

Emploeon@Leftovers
Substitute
Surf
Grass Knot
Blizzard

First, the speed should be high enough to substitute, this stops the 1HKO with Close Combat infernape. Substitute if it does not fade in 2 turns, you have your HP full again with leftovers.

in Battle tower, grass knot can 1HKO Palmers Rhyperior. Blizzard may not always hit like ice beam, but its more powerful and if you still have a substitute, you son't need to worry about the blizzards accuracy if your substitute lasts 1-2 turns. If blizzard works once, still good if its a super effective move.

I have 1HKO'd rhyperior, got milotic with 4 grass knot and 1HKO'd dragonite with blizzard, if it hits, which it does with my luck. Could have just put ice beam for this, but we are not just dealing with Dragons in battle tower, other pokemon, ground/grass are anticipated too.

I put surf over hydo pump/cannon as surf has a higher chance of hitting than hydro pump and does not need recharge like hydro cannon.

terrible spelling in the title
haha

but anyway
mine is my shiny dragonite :)
leftovers
252 attack, 128 spD, 128 speed
outrage
dragon dance
fire punch
brick break

completey legit, managed to get it for a mewtwo with pokerus in a trade :)

when baton passed in from one or two swords dances it becomes deadly, and if i manage to get in a dragon dance, he outruns most things, and i can let set him off on an outrage spree, and i havent yet been against a pokemon except blissey who can withstand a outrage from him after a few swords dances and dragon dances :) great pokemon :)

It should be noted that Empoleon will never outspeed Infernape in competitive play. Your best bet would be to switch into something that can't harm it, and use Substitute.

No one will switch in Infernape to beat you until your Substitute is gone.

Heracross@Choice Scarf / Choice Band
252 attacks/ 252 speed
Close Combat
Megahorn
Stone Edge
Pursuit.

Hes the kill all of pokemon

lvl. 100 Sceptile @ Leftovers
252 SpAtk, 252 Spe
- Leaf Blade
- False Swipe (for catching runners aka birds)
- Thunderpunch
- Earthquake

this badboy had won me more battle points than i care to mention.

My Zangoose for Emerald, It got me 4 of the Brains beaten.
silk scarf
didn't know about E/IVs back then but its stats are
281hp
284Atk 124Def
179SpA 142SpD
253Spe
~Aerial Ace
~Crush Claw
~Ice Beam
~Brick Break

Quick Feet Ursaring.

Ursaring @ Flame orb
Adamant
Quickfeet
4 HP 252 Atk 252 Spe
- Facade
- Swords dance
- Fire Punch
- Earthquake

In Diamond I have a killer Electivire, EV trained and all. Too lazy to load oup the game, but it had a moveset similar to:

Barrier
Thunderbolt or Screech or something...
Thunder
Giga Impact

I tended to waste a move on X Accuracy, obviously. I don't remember what he was holding. He wasn't quite lv. 100, either. It's not like THE BEST and the whole strategy has a lot of flaws, but I really liked him and he always did pretty well. :D Made me happy. I might have an Electivire in Platinum, I don't know. Maybe not, since I've done it before.

Kricketune, definitely. From taking out Gardenia's powerful Roserade with Fury Cutter, to beating down Maylene's Lucario at its own game with Brick Break, to saving my butt with Perish Song in the Elite Four - twice...yeah, that girl's saved me more times than I can remember when things seemed hopeless. Not bad for a Bug-type. ;)

blissey can barely take even an unboosted outrage from dragonite, what kind of blissey were you facing o __o

Electivire@Expert Belt
Adamant
Lv.100, 252 Atk, 252 Spe
30 Atk IVs, 31 Spe Ivs
Thunderpunch
Icepunch
Earthquake
Cross Chop

Perfectly legit Poketopia Electivire I got in a trade. He takes out pretty much anything that doesn't outspeed him, what with having super effective on 13 types. Best trade I ever made so far as I'm concerned.

Mismagius @ Leftovers
EVs: I forget the exact spread, actually.
IVs: x/x/x/30/30/30
:: Substitute
:: Calm Mind
:: Shadow Ball
:: Hidden Power {Fighting}

This thing... never lets me down. EVER. I felt kinda weird using a Heatran as my main battling Pokemon in Platinum... so I switched over to a Mismagius lying around my box. Now I don't feel bad since I'm not using a legendary as my main Pokémon. Can't say that about my Diamond and Pearl, though... maybe I'll use a Sceptile on Pearl instead of Jirachi.

a SUPERBLISSEY

haha maybe it was after no stat boosts, i just remember a blissey surviving after an outrage

Ambipom (F, Adamant, Technician)
Double Hit
Seed Bomb
Fake Out
Aerial Ace

This girl has kicked all kinds of butt so far in the Battle Arcade. She gets walled by Steels and Ghosts of course, but I've got my Flare Blitz/Shadow Claw Infernape for them.

Absol, currently level 62,
Quirky Nature/Item: Blackglasses
Swords Dance, Night Slash, Sucker Punch, and Psyco Cut
She's fast and has a high attack, so far she's one of my best.

I would also say my Torterra, Level 58
Bashful Nature/Item: Soft Sand
Earthquake, Leech Seed, Leaf Storm, and Crunch.

My most reliable have been my generic-ish Spikes/Roar/Steel Wing/Roost Skarmory, or in Generation III, my typical Psychic/Shadow Ball/Calm Mind/Recover Alakazam or similar Surf/Ice Beam/Rest/Calm Mind Suicune.

It seems creative Pokémon are less reliable. Blah.

In the games themselves (as in not versus humans or at an obscene level), my most useful Pokémon was my Sapphire Gardevoir, with Calm Mind and Double Team. She was basically unhittable and could tear up any gym alone if I let her.

Ah yes... my pride and joy

Tangrowth @ Leftovers
Nature: Impish
Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 6 Atk
~ Substitute
~ Leech Seed
~ Sleep Powder
~ Power Whip

This is good in regular ol' standard, but it's on PBR-WiFi where she has done her best work. You all know how it is; idiots on there using Ubers left and right against your UUs... throwing OHKO moves out their ears... well, if they want to fight dirty, I'll fight dirty too. Sleep Clause: Consider yourself ignored. Seriously, by putting something to sleep I can survive against, Substituting on the switch, putting the switch-in to sleep as it breaks my sub, repeating the process when needed, Leech Seeding when the opponent doesn't switch, and Power Whipping to wear them out... I've KOd Palkia, Giratina, Infernape, Garchomp, Moltres, Mewtwo... so many things. It's a great Pokémon and it remains one of my favorites.

Arcanine @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
- Thunder Fang
- Flare Blitz
- ExtremeSpeed
- Overheat

Lol, I have won so many battles easily with this thing. Somehow whenever something uses Hydro Pump/Stone Edge, it always misses. XP Usually just my gimmick like set I sometimes use, it sometimes get 3 kills before it dies rofl. Just a simple set can do so many things... I am even considering Bright Powder>>Leftovers to help it miss even more hits. XD

Cradily: Amnesia, Barrier, Recover, earthquake/ancient power.
STALL FODDER.

Me: CalmLatias, MixLightballPikachu, etc <_< generic stuff. AWESOME though.
