Hi everybody, welcome to my RP! This is the first RP that I've done for the site, and I hope you all think it's kind of good. So, let's get started!

Side Note: Thought this one up when looking at Larvitar's extremely weird Pokédex entry.

Plot:
Mt. Silver, one of the two mountains in the Johto region. On this mountain live the Larvitar. In order for Larvitar to grow, it must consume a mountains worth of soil. If every Larvitar in the region were to eat a mountains worth of dirt; well, that's an awful lot of dirt.
Other Pokémon don't help the matter. Onix, Steelix, Diglett, Dugtrio and all the other underground dwellers have been digging non stop. Soon, the entire Johto region will be hollow, and will collapse in on itself, killing thousands of people.
Fortunately, a group of archeologists have recently discovered a tablet in the Ruins of Alph which described this exact event, and how to stop it. However, these archeologists were assassinated before they could get to a press conference to talk about this tablet. Obviously if a person knew how to save the entire region, that would make a good bargaining position.
This is where you come in. We need some experienced trainers to find this tablet and perform the act needed to save the Johto region, while also battling against whatever evil will try to stop you. Remember; thousands of lives are at stake. Please report to the Goldenrod Radio Tower, the site of the assassination, to join up for this mission.
Good luck, and may Arceus be by your side.

Rules:
- No Godmodding or Powerplaying.
- Make all battles fair. No making every attack miss. It doesn't happen in the games, anime, and kind of Pokémon media, so it doesn't happen here. Getting hit makes battles interesting.
- Remind yourself that the more characters you sign up, the more difficult it's going to be to maintain them all. There will be a limit to 2 characters.
- If I say something in your form contradicts the plot too much, I will ask you to change it. Don't argue.
- Use common sense. Don't suddenly have your character grow wings and solve the RP just like that. Just... no.

So, let's get this party started. I guess.

Extremely sorry for the trouble, but could you fill in the form using the new guidelines? Again, a thousand times sorry.

Here's a template of my 1st character:
Name: Kirk "Bayonet" Bailey

Age: 26

Gender: Male

Hometown: Blackthorn City

Appearance: Here.

Personality: Kirk likes to keep himself to himself. He rarely speaks or shows any emotion, but this isn't because he's unsociable. His favourite pastime is thinking. He has a high IQ, which helped him become a skilled battler, and he mostly thinks about new battle strategies or the best way to use techniques. He does seem very serious, and some people find that annoying, while others find it mysterious and a handsome trait. He's the kind of person you can take or leave. While he is serious, he is very protective and kind to his Pokémon and people very close to him. When a strategy of his fails in battle, he always seems to have a backup plan, prompting the nickname "Bayonet" from his fans. Because of him being so secretive, people can be very surprised when he does or even says something intelligent.

History: Kirk caught his first Pokémon at the age of nine, and started his Pokémon journey at eleven. For three years he travelled the world, capturing new and fascinating Pokémon, but realised his true passion was battling rather than catching. He entered many competitions with his Pokémon, and battled every Gym he could find. He trained his Pokémon non-stop until they were all more well equipped and powerful than tanks. His amazing battling prowess spawned a fanbase, who came up with the nickname "Bayonet". Kirk got dragged into the whole event when his fans nominated him for the mission.

Pokemon:
Dragonite
149.png

Gender: Male
Attacks: Outrage, Draco Meteor, Extremespeed, Thunderbolt
Ability: Inner Focus
Info: Dragonite was the first Pokémon Kirk ever captured, and he captured it as a Dratini. It has never not been by his side and is his strongest Pokémon. It has a strang affinity for cupcakes. It is super loyal to him and will rip opponents to shreds in order to protect Kirk, and will never back down from a challenge.

Heracross
214.png

Gender: Male
Attacks: Megahorn, Close Combat, Night Slash, Harden
Ability: Guts
Info: Heracross is extremely competitive and proud of it's power. The problem with it is it won't give up in a battle, even if it's taking a beating by something it can never beat, like a Rhyperior or Tyranitar. It only likes being handled by Kirk, and will Harden if anyone else comes near it, and will Night Slash them if it is feeling grumpy or overly threatened.

Hypno
97.png

Gender: Female
Attacks: Psychic, Meditate, Theif, Thunderpunch
Ability: Forewarn
Info: Hypno is the only female on Kirk's team. Hypno is often more intelligent than Kirk, and they sometimes play mind games together, like chess. Kirk uses Hypno's intellect to get what he wants. She uses Psychic to create distractions, and then steals whatever Kirk needs. She often uses Attract against male opponents, but really battles hard against girls. Hypno can also predict the future, which is very useful.

Donphan
232.png

Gender: Male
Attacks: Earthquake, Head Smash, Rollout, Protect
Ability: Sturdy
Info: Donphan is curious and loves to eat. He often touches things on the ground using his trunk, and assesses if it is safe to eat or not, and how much nutrition he'll get from eating it. This unusual diet has given Donphan thick skin and powerful muscles. Donphan also likes to think a lot, like his trainer, but it's usually about new ways to get food. He usually charges at a tree to make fruit fall down. Donphan is also very quiet and doesn't get involved much.

Vaporeon
134.png

Gender: Male
Attacks: Hydro Pump, Acid Armor, Dive, Quick Attack
Ability: Water Absorb
Info: Vaporeon always seems to be bored. While Vaporeon can survive when not on water, it does seem very bored when it's not having a swim, or having a battle. He likes to dive underwater, because it feels for him like he's flying, as he is a very strong swimmer. When in the water, you'll never meet a happier Pokémon. Kirk often treats him to a swim to keep him happy and to stop him becoming sloppy in battle due to boredness/sadness. Kirk often goes diving with him.

Houndoom
229.png

Gender: Male
Attacks: Flamethrower, Dark Pulse, Shadow Ball, Odor Sleuth
Ability: Early Bird
Info: Houndoom is jumpy. Houndoom often has trouble sleeping, as he always has something on his mind. He enjoys chasing after other, weaker Pokémon, but would never kill one. When in a true battle, however, that all changes. Houndoom becomes relentless, and uses attacks so quickly an opponent never knows what's coming. Houndoom can often smell food from miles away, which Hypno usually then steals.

Other: Kirk is a member of the Dragonair Divers, an elite Diving group from Blackthorn City.

Name: A.D

Age: 21

Gender: Male

Hometown: Pallet Town

Personality: Friendly, but shy. His battle tactics include random, but effective, attack patterns in order to throw off the opponent. However, this tactic is rarely seen due to his lack of want to battle. He has an odd obsession with strawberries, actually being able to sense when some are near him. Due to his shyness, he will not approach people he does not know, but doesn't mind if people approach him. He will always speak his mind when asked on a subject, telling things truthfully, even when it isn't advised. When something perks his interest, he will observe it very carefully and look for anything out of norm, but if it doesn't, he will ignore it's existance altogether.

Appearance: With long brown hair and eyes and wearing long-sleeved red and black coat and blue jeans with Kanto running shoes, A.D appearance is very deceitful, as he appears to be fairly frail in comparison to most muscular guys, but beneath his coatis a muscular figure, stemming from his long travels.
TrainerAD.jpg

History: A traveller. As he has been wandering for a good 11 years, he knows most of the known land and even knows of a few secrets.

Team:

TrainerADwithparty.jpg

Venusaur
Gender: Male
Attacks: Razor Leaf, Poison Powder, Leech Seed, Frenzy Plant
Ability: Overgrow
A.D's starter and one of his closest companions, Venusaur is protective of A.D, often carrying him on his back during journeys, and will turn violent if A.D falls under any threat.

Pikachu
Gender: Female
Attacks: Volt Tackle, Thunderbolt, Iron Tail, Thunder Wave
Ability: Static
A.D's second Pokémon, Pikachu is often outside her Pokéball and following A.D. She often shocks strangers who approach her, which helps A.D know what type of person the stranger is by the resulting reaction. She and A.D's Flareon are often seen together, which A.D is amused by and is hoping for an egg between them.

Gyarados
Gender: Male
Attacks: Hydro Pump, Surf, Waterfall, Blizzard
Ability: Intimidate
Gyarados was originally a Magikarp A.D bought from a salesman at Mt. Moon. A.D took him in after he saw the Magikarp was unwell in the tank and helped him grow, eventually evolving on Route 24 and becoming A.D's strongest Pokémon until he caught Snorlax. Despite his fiercesome exterior, Gyarados is actually quite friendly, once grabbng a drowning child out of the sea without A.D's orders when he was sleeping on the beach (A.D, not Gyarados).

Flareon
Gender: Male
Attacks: Flamethrower, Dig, Bite, Overheat
Ability: Flash Fire
Flareon was an Eevee A.D recieved in Celadon City. He had been abandoned in the top-floor apartment and A.D took him in. Flareon is incredibly curious, which resulted in his evolution when he curiously touched a Fire Stone on the ground. He is often near A.D's Pikachu, which amuses A.D and has his hopes up for a egg from Pikachu.

Snorlax
Gender: Female
Attacks: Giga Impact, Strength, Rest, Sleep Talk
Ability: Thick Fat
Snorlax is by far A.D's strongest Pokémon. As usual in it's species, Snorlax can often be seen sleeping, but when A.D requests it's need in a battle, she will awake and almost always become the dominating factor in a battle. She is quite calm, allowing anything sleep on her when she is resting.

Aerodactyl
Gender: Male
Attacks: Wing Attack, Fly, Ancient Power, Steel Wing
Ability: Pressure
Aerodactyl was revived when a scientist used the Old Amber A.D had recieved by the Pewter City Museum staff for allowing them to display the Dome Fossil he had found in Mt. Moon. He is playful, but quite strong, able to carry 6 people on it's back and 4 in his claws, albeit with a little strain, but since he rarely carries anyone but A.D, he doesn't often use his full strength. He tends to be told off by A.D when he grabs something in his mouth, but still likes A.D as a trainer, otherwise A.D would've released him to the wild to find his place in the world.

Other: Although he could be classed as one of the strongest trainers ever, A.D doesn't use his Pokémon's strength unless absolutly necessary. As he has been travelling for 11 years, his party's levels are thought to be in the late 90's, if not 100's, but are actually in the late 80's due to his lack of interest in battling.

The coat A.D wears has proven to be quite durable. It has seen everything A.D has seen and come out better then him, often coming out undamaged from even the worst of conflicts. This has sparked rumours that his coat is indestructable, with one person offering to buy the coat off him (to no avail, of course).

Yes, I know you've probably seen him, he is my main RPing character. And yes, other events he's been involved with have occured (to him, so this doesn't apply to other RP characters) to the same guy, just at multiple points in his lifetime. And before anyone gets it in their head they will destroy the coat, it's already appeared over 200 years later. I just love long running characters.

Instrutilus, your character is accepted.

Name: Clarke Kyle Robinson

Age: 22

Gender: Male

Hometown:
Jubilife City

Appearance:
http://www.quizilla.com/user_images/C/CR/CRA/crazyrTHANu882/1177548144_sAnimeBoy3.jpg

Personality: Clarke is just a cool guy; he enjoys messing around with friends and is always up for a good laugh. He can be serious though and will always stand up for what he believes. He doesn’t like being messed around and will take no crap from anyone. He has a sense of arrogance and can be a bit stuck up however he can easily be brought back down to earth. His personal qualities help him develop his Pokemon coordinator skills.

History:
Clarke was born and raised in Jubilife City, he had a fairly normal childhood, lots of friends, a first kiss, lazy afternoons chilling out with his friends. He lived with Mother (Zara), Father (Alexander) and his two sisters (Twins: Gabrielle & Amy). They were all close but Clarke was the one without a special connection. This brought him closer with his friends.
He became a Pokemon coordinator when he discovered his love for contests. He would travel to cities where contests where being held. Catching Pokemon and perfecting his skills. He managed to travel all around the four regions and win all the grand festivals.

Pokemon:

Glaceon
471_1.png

Gender: Female
Attacks: Ice Beam, Shadow Ball, Iron Tail, Hyperbeam, Mirror Coat, Secret Power, Blizzard, Hail
Ability: Snow Cloak
Info: Clarke’s most trust Pokemon and partner, Glaceon has always been therefore Clarke and pulled through for him, even when it was a sweet little Eevee. It’s his most powerful Pokemon and is great at putting on a show on the contest stage. Glaceon still famously holds the record for the highest appeal score ever at the Celadon City contest.

Gengar
094_2.png

Gender: Male
Attacks: Shadow Ball, Dark Pulse, Psychic, Will-o-wisp, Thunderbolt, Hypnosis, Psywave, Focus Blast
Ability: Levitate
Info: Travelling in lavender town is always fun, Clarke had been doing so and when he saw Gengar he knew he wanted it. It was powerful and intimidating but also quite loveable and soft. After catching it, Gengar has become one of Clarke's strongest Pokemon.

Persian
053_2.png

Gender: Female
Attacks: Slash, Dark Pulse, Iron Tail, Thunderbolt, Assist, Double Team, Shadow Claw, Hyperbeam
Ability:
Info: Persian was just a baby Meowth when Clarke found her, he has seen her transform from a small baby girl into a mature powerful Pokemon, she has a natural talent for contests and helps everyone one out with training.

Dewgong
087_1.png

Gender: Male
Attacks: Brine, Ice Beam, Whirlpool, Signal Beam, Sheer Cold, Aqua Ring, Blizzard, Aqua Jet
Ability: Skill Link
Info:Clarke's Dewgong was caught as a Seel in a fishing competion, the judges weren't keen and said it wouldn't earn him a high score. However, Clarke fell in love with Seel and trained him hard until he evolved.

Beautifly
267_1.png

Gender: Female
Attacks: Silver Wind, Energy Ball, Psychic, Solarbeam, Bug Buzz, Air Cutter, Morning Sun, Swift
Ability:
Info: Beautifly was flying with a group of bug types when they encountered some Fearow that attacked them. Luckily, Clarke and some friends where able to save them. Each of them bonded with a certain Pokemon so Beautifly became Clarke's.

Altaria
334_2.png

Gender: Female
Attacks: Dragon Pulse, Flamethrower, Solarbeam, Sky Attack, Draco Meter, Sing, Ice Beam, Take Down
Ability: Natural Cure
Info: Not much to say about Altaria, caught as a Swablu normally and rose up to an Altaria. A very strong Pokemon that loves doing things for people.
______________________________________

Apologies about the moves, it's just you didn't set a limit and RPs tend to work better with lots of moves as in the anime they have lots of moves. This makes the RP more realistic, but if you don't like them I'll change them. No worries.

Hmm... actually having more moves is a better idea. Well, at any rate, accepted.

If you're still accepting characters...

THE GIRL WOMAN

NAME: Sasha Danielle Sadler

AGE: Twenty-three.

GENDER: Female

HOMETOWN: Viridian City, Kanto.

PERSONALITY: Sasha is probably one of the most eccentric, masculine girls you'll ever have the "pleasure" of meeting. She hates make-up, anything relatively "girly", and wouldn't be caught dead wearing a dress. At least she still refers to herself as being a female. Her sense of humour ranges from subtle double-entendres, to sexual jokes, to speaking (or yelling) complete and utter nonsense. She's a happy, and often excitable, person, and can also be an endless fountain of allusions and one-liners (which may or may not become old depending on your tolerance to such things). Overall, she's fun to be around, even if she doesn't take everything - or anything - seriously.

APPEARANCE: Sasha's a large girl, coming in at six feet-four inches, and two-hundred and twenty pounds. You could say that her massive size let's her throw her own weight around (which she does). Her hair is a dirty blond colour, extending just down to her shoulders, and she has straight-cut bangs that hang just over her eyebrows. Her eyes are hazel, and oft very expressive. She has a wide, round face, with a smile that takes up most of it.
Currently she is wearing her long black coat, white scarf, black jeans, and sleek black running shoes.

HISTORY: Sasha was born in Viridian City, in the Kanto region. At the young age of eight she was given her first Pokemon as a birthday present - a female Nidoran who she nicknamed Rina.
Two years later, her family moved to Goldenrod City, in the Johto region. It was there she started her official Pokemon journey, like many others, as a ten year-old trainer. But rather than battling gyms, or even becoming a coordinator, Sasha decided to travelled at her leisure. She would eventually visit the Hoenn and Sinnoh regions, returning to Johto when she was twenty.
Now, three years later, she has decided to volunteer to help save the region her family has made its home in.

THE TEAM

RINA
31.png

Nidoqueen
GENDER: Female
MOVES: Poison Jab, Double Kick, Earthquake, Attract
ABILITY: Poison Point
NATURE: Naughty
INFO: Rina was Sasha's first Pokemon, obtained when she was a mere female Nidoran. She is quite similar to her trainer, being sharp and witty, with one added aspect; she actually uses her female charm to her advantage. You'd better watch out, boys; she's got a wicked aim.

SCARA
214.png

Heracross
GENDER: Female
MOVES: Megahorn, Night Slash, Brick Break, Take Down.
ABILITY: Guts
NATURE: Jolly
INFO: Scara was Sasha's second Pokemon, and was captured while she was off-guard feeding on a honey tree. She's a real nutter compared to the rest of the team - and even her trainer. Her battle style is erratic; one attack here, another there, and finally a finishing move. She's the most difficult to predict out of all of Sasha's Pokemon, so be careful.

MARVIN
302.png

Shiny Sableye
GENDER: Male
MOVES: Shadow Claw, Faint Attack, Detect, Fury Swipes
ABILITY: Keen Eye
NATURE: Quirky
INFO: Marvin was Sasha's first Hoenn Pokemon, and also the first male on her team. He's quite the smooth-talker, and a real kleptomaniac; as such, he has a tendency to get in trouble the most out of all of Sasha's Pokemon. Max tends to keep Marvin in his place at least. Just make sure to double-check your belongings whenever Marv's around.

MAXIMILLION
445.png

Garchomp
GENDER: Male
MOVES: Dragon Claw, Slash, Dig, Sandstorm
ABILITY: Sand Veil
NATURE: Lonely
INFO: Sasha's second male Pokemon, and her first Sinnoh Pokemon. Max prefers to just be left alone to his own devices, and doesn't get along well in a group. In fact, when he's around the others, he tends to be quite the selfish jerk. In battle he uses his speed to run (or "fly") rings around his opponent. He claims to be Sasha's strongest Pokemon, though Rina would tend to argue against that.

NATHAN
389.png

GENDER: Male
MOVES: Seed Bomb, Earthquake, Crunch, Synthesis
ABILITY: Overgrow
NATURE: Bashful
INFO: The first Pokemon Sasha ever obtained from an egg, and her second Sinnoh Pokemon. Nathan, or Nate for short, is humble and shy compared to his fellows. He has a distinct liking for nature, and loves to do nothing more than laze about during a nice warm day. He's quite a tank compared to the others, and can take a beating before going down. However, he has an extreme dislike for the cold.

Yep, accepted. I was going to wait for one more sign-up until I created the start-up. So... guess I'll create the start up.

By the way, you can still enter character submissions after the start-up is created, but I'll stop accepting entries when I feel that at the time a new character would be pointless.

Okay dudes and dudettes, let's go!
Name:Red
Age:13
Gender:Male/Boy/Dude
Personality:A bit headstrong, but good hearted. Catches good Pokemon, and caught 1 legendary. Can take matters seriously. After training at Mt. Silver for 3 years(note: not the game), is ready for some excitement and ready to punish bad teams and thier monsters.
Appearance:Has a red hat. It has a Poke Ball symbol. He has black hair. He has a red jacket, and jeans. He has a PokeGear, Gen II.
History:He battled his rival at the Indigo Championships. After his win, he was forced to give the position to Lance, or to be frozen by Lorlei's Jynx. His Venusaur, out of pure hatred, killed Agatha. Lorlei was then threated to be killed by Lance's Dragonite, so she quit. Red is now excited to be where the action is, and has been with his Gyrados since youth as a Magikarp.
Team:
Pokémon Name1: Bulby/Venusaur
Moves:Vine Whip (used to kill Agatha), Frenzy Plant, PoisonPowder, SolarBeam.
Item: Miracle Seed
Personality: Hardy
Pokemon Name2: MasterMew2/Mewtwo
Moves: Psychic, Swift, Sleep Talk, Rest.
Item: TwistedSpoon
Personality: Docile, ironiclly.
Pokemon Name3: Rage/Gyrados
Moves: Dragon Rage, Flail, Water Pulse, Aqua Tail
Other: Bulby still hates Agatha, even after her death.

Is it alright if you replaced Mewtwo with another Pokémon? Just so everyone's teams are equal, and I was planning to use Mewtwo for something in the RP. I know I really should have put that down on the form, but I am very forgetful I'm afraid. Sorry if this kind of ruins your character...

The killing of Agatha, meanwhile, is actually rather exciting. I could use that... yeah, I don't see any reason why that shouldn't be allowed.

Would be better but Bulbagarden server issues messed up and deleted it and didn't post it

Name: Archibald O Smithe (Most people simply call him Archie.)
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Hometown: Canalave City
Appearance: He dresses very loudly. VERY loudly. If his clothes were people, they'd be rock stars. He usually weats a pink hawain shirt, and a yellow sash wrapped around a his neck. He has a somewhat largeish nose, a blue pompador, and heart shades. He has a many pocketed belt around his blue slacks, filled with strange doodads, presumably for archeology. On his feet he wears green dress shoes fitted with spikes on the bottom.
Personality: Archie loves attention, which, having no musical or dramatic talent, partly motivated him to become an archeologist. However, two facts get in the way of him having swarms of fans:
1. Archeologists, in real life, tend not to fight evil cults, find alien skulls, or generally save the world.
2. He's simply not cool. Any attempts to be so fail miserably, evidenced by his seizure inducing dress.
However, despite his failings (which he remains oblivious to) he likes his job, and is actually good at it. He also tries to mantain a strict code of honor (657 rules so far; he often makes them ul on the fly and writes them down in his archeologists handbook.) at all times, citing the "millions of children that look up to me" as his reason for it, and for joining the mission to save Mt. Silver.
History: Growing up in c
Canalave City, young Archibald was captivated by the tales in the library, and thrilled by the ruins in Celestic and Solaceon Town. This led to him becoming an archeologisy.
Team:
Lopunny
Moves: Return, Jump Kick, Ice Beam, Bounce
Item: Silk Scarf
Personalotu: Sweet, scatterbrained, emulates everything Archie does.
Infernape
Moves: Mach Punch, Flame Wheel, Hyper Beam, Night Claw
Item: Quick Claw
Personality: Distant, aloof, often disgusted by Archie's attempts to be cool.
Mismagius
Moves: Grass Knot, Shadow Ball, Toxic, Astonish
Item: Wise Glasses
Personality: Shy, docile, tends to hide from most people.

Beav232, you're accepted.

det208, sorry but you're... accepted! Welcome aboard, the pair of you!

Name: Forest (James) Taylor

Age: 25

Forest has deep blue eyes, and yellow skin.

Forest is shy, only to strangers. Otherwise, he's minimally social. Even with close friends. His pokemon are the only people that he will actually talk to all the time, and will defend them with anything. He loves and is very well with computers and other electronic technology.

History:

His parents were killed when he was very young, and he had to fend for himself on the busy and dangerous streets of Jubilife City, Sinnoh. He grew up being quiet, and never got a proper education. Other than finding torn up textbooks in the dumpsters behind the school house. He finally applied for a job in computer programming technology. He excelled, and finally discovered something he loved with a good income.

He visited Kanto for a business trip, and applied for the investigation.

Maybe you should add an explaination as to why the character is there, since they live so far away. Otherwise, this is great, and it's accepted.

In case anyone is wondering, I'll allow Pokémon capturing in the RP, but it follows game physics and must go back to your box if you have a full party or go into your team if you have a small party. Just saying.

This is all he's going to have; he's not interested in catching more.

And sure, I'll edit that in.

He's not going to have any more pokemon; ever.

And, sure, I'll edit it in.

Yeah, okay. I wasn't directing it at you. I was just telling people it was allowed.
