Pokémon The First Movie DVD Error

I was watching my Pokémon First Movie UK DVD, and I went onto the short's scene selection. And then, I saw something rather odd. It had a picture of Togepi, with the text '152: Togepi' above it.

The DVD was released in 1999- could Togepi's orginal Pokédex number of been 152? Or was it just a stupid error?

Please help me out.

My guess is just that, back then, they assumed Togepi was #152.

Yeah, Gold and Silver didn't come out in Japan until late 1999, so the people making that DVD must've assumed it was #152.

As everyone has said, seeing as Gold and Silver were yet to be released, it could be a simple error on the DVD makers part at the time.
