Pokemon: The First Three Movies Box Set Artwork Revealed

Its too bad, because Australia has the wide screen versions of movie 2 and 3. (I liv in aus) However not the fist movie which is in full screen. =(. Maybe if enough peeople requested the wide screen format, something could change in the future?

Well, as I've said, these are probably just repressing of the existing discs onto 2 discs. Another thing that occured to me is that by not releasing the widescreen editions, they retain the selling point if/when they eventually put the movies onto Blu-Ray some time in the future.

Why are they rereleasing theese films I found a copy of the second movie at a grocerie store also why did they call it pocket monsters

The first movie was released on Region 01 DVD back in 2000. It's possible that Warner Bros' contract to release these movies expires in 2010 (ten years later), so this release may just be an attempt to get what they can before they lose the rights.

This is all just baseless speculation, though.

Nice, but WHY fullscreen version!! :(

That's probably the only version Warner Bros has to release.

There is a widescreen/HD transfer of movie 3, though whether it would be ready to press to disc is anybody's guess. I'm not aware of any impending termination of WB's rights, though that is possible.

I mean...it's not like that kind of knowledge would be made public.

There are widescreen transfers of all the movies (that's what they released in Japan, after all), but just because they exist doesn't necessarily mean that WB has access to them.

Certinaly a better cover than I thought it would be, even though it looks like Mew took a Super Mushroom.

*cover fanatic for some reason*

Heh, what's with the promotion of the movies all being rated G? Are G-rated movies becoming more of a rarity or something like that? ...and more importantly, what the hell! They're using the term "Pocket Monsters" now? XD That's cool, but I didn't think it was allowed. They even made a joke about it in DP iirc.

Wait a second, it says there's a director/producer audio commentary on all 3 movies!! O.O

Do you think there's a chance that they actually made an audio commentary for the second movie, but for some reason it wasn't included the first go-around? =o

I mean, I don't see why WB would advertise that all 3 movies have an audio commentary, when one of the movies doesn't have that feature. That doesn't make sense to me....

Anyway, it'd be awesome if there was an audio commentary of Pokemon 2000. ^^

I swear I read somewhere they made a commentary for 2000 but just didn't use it. I haven't the faintest idea where I got that from or if my mind is just spouting nonsense that I'm accepting as reality. '_';

*random though* Hmm, actually, this would have been the perfect chance to dub and release Slowking's Day, wouldn't it? :p It doesn't matter at all since it's so short and pointless, but hey!

Ooh, Slowking's Day. Sounds good! ^^

Is that a Pikachu special or something? Or is that a special episode of the anime that has never been dubbed/aired before? If they dubbed that episode and Ash was in it, I'd give anything to see it! XD

I swear I read somewhere they made a commentary for 2000 but just didn't use it.
Wow! O.O

Anyway, now that I think about it, it would've made perfect sense for them to have an audio commentary of the 2nd movie. Because they have produced commentaries for the 1st, 3rd, and 4th movies. So either they decided to skip the 2nd movie, or they actually made a commentary for it.

Personally, I'm hoping they made one, because that would be awesome. =D

I still own the very original WB releases of the first 3 movies from all those years ago.

Man, its hard to imagine how old these movies are now. The dub of the Mewtwo movie came to theaters in 1999, a full 10 years ago!
