Before I begin, I must say that I've been a fan of Pokémon since Red and Blue came out in the late 90s, and later Yellow. I collected the cards and watched the anime every day after school. As time went by, and I got older, the anime got to the Orange Islands. I was really losing hope in the show, and I felt as if I was growing out of the cards and games. Before Gold and Silver came out, I left the franchise. But now I've come back after replaying the games and realized something ...
To me, Pokémon is one of Nintendo's best franchise, yet has SO much untouched potential. What if they tried to take things on a more mature approach with a live action movie? That's what I've wanted to see in the franchise, and that's what I want this movie script to show. Although it'll be a PG-rated script, it'd be a hard PG like the recent Speed Racer movie (only without the annoying kid and chimp).
This will actually be an entire script, in SCRIPT format. But before I get into the real script, I would like to present to you the Teaser Trailer for the movie:

POKÉMON - THE LIVE ACTION MOVIE (TEASER TRAILER)
A large scene of a mesozoic Earth can be seen. A brachiosaurus is eating from a tree. Two Tyrannosaurus Rexes approach the brachiosaurus and roar at it. The three dinosaurs then look up into the sky and see a large meteor is coming towards them; they begin to run from it. Just as the meteor is coming towards the screen, a small white particle of light can be seen flying off of the asteroid.
The camera switches to following the white sphere as it shoots into the distance. The camera goes into a first person view of the white light. It moves quickly over the Pangaea landscape. In mid flight, it begins to fall towards a small island. As it hits the ground, a large white-colored explosion goes across the entire island.
FADE OUT and FADE IN. Two men in white science coats are journeying on the same island millions of years later, overlooking a large cliff.
MAN 1: This is the find of the century Professor! Could they really be the missing link!?
Images begin flashing across the screen:

- Image 2: [http://fc05.deviantart.com/fs6/i/2005/037/6/b/Hypno_02_by_AnnaJ.jpg] sitting down and looking out at the sky with a fevered look.
- Image 3: [http://fc05.deviantart.com/fs30/f/2008/052/c/7/Onix_by_MetalReaper.jpg] can be seen crashing up and down through the ground, chasing a tiny jeep.
- Image 4: Packs of [http://fc04.deviantart.com/fs19/f/2007/293/5/e/growlithe_by_Acid_Ash.png] are seen running through a forest, with a couple [http://fc02.deviantart.com/fs4/i/2004/208/f/e/Machoke.jpg] seen smashing over the tinier trees, following the dogs.
- Image 5: [http://fc05.deviantart.com/fs4/i/2005/136/d/4/Dragonite_by_shads.jpg] is seen flying through the air, carrying with its hands a human by his arms.
- Image 6: [http://fc07.deviantart.com/fs29/f/2008/057/c/6/c65c85c3745c3717.jpg] is running towards the screen, jumps into the air, and then conducting and letting loose electricity from its body.
PROFESSOR: We can only hope.
The words "POKÉMON" appear on a black screen, with the subtitle "The Power That's Inside".
FADE OUT and FADE IN. A shot of a [http://fc08.deviantart.com/fs11/i/2006/236/4/4/Blastoise___by_guardianofire.jpg] is coming out of the waves on a beach and begins to roar. It begins to charge on all fours at a [http://fc05.deviantart.com/fs9/i/2006/065/8/9/Charizard_by_AnnaJ.jpg], which is flying up in the air shooting fire blasts at the Blastoise, all missing and scorching the ground. The Blastoise stops, steadies its cannons from its shell, and begins pumping out gallons of pressured water at the Charizard.
"Catch it Summer 2008" appears on a black screen.

A MIDDLE-AGED MAN in black garments is meditating in a forest, with forest animals coming towards him.
PROFESSOR: And all areas in between.
A YOUNG WOMAN (2) puts her hand out onto a dog’s forehead and closes her eyes.
PROFESSOR: Come with me on a journey.
An old balding SCIENTIST is seen pouring liquid into a flask in a lab.
PROFESSOR: Beyond imagination.
The back of a young KID’s head is seen, turning towards the screen.
PROFESSOR: Welcome to Pokémon Island.

PROFESSOR: They will be discovered, and they will be abused by man.

TEENAGER: We can’t just sit back and let this happen!

The "July 4" date is still influx as to when I'll post the script. It will be released in parts over the summer. Before the full script, I would like to say that I still plan on one more Trailer.
