Welcome! Post your intros here. Mine will be up some time today. I need to thank all of you for being so patient with me. I know it's been a while. Alright, the link to the SU is here, just in case you forget who you are. Enjoy!

Camille O'Brien had just gotten off the boat to the Unova region, and was walking toward Nuvema Town with her Roserade behind her. "This is it, Roserade. The start of a new adventure!" Camille said excitedly. Roserade just smiled,

(( Wouldn't it make more sense to have the ship end up in Castelia? That's where the ports are. Just sayin'. ))

Cooper climbed out of the ship's cabin, walking behind the girl dressed in brown. He was less thrilled than her, unimpressed with the small town.
The first visible thing in Nuvema Town was a vibrant red sign with a loud note scrawled on it, "Welcome New Arrivals!" Cooper adjusted his jacket and looked down at his belt clip. He had mentally practiced the organization of his next team. The first one was Kingdra, his lead with a powerful Draco Meteor. He didn't rehearse the others, seriously doubting he'd need them. He didn't forget to finger one ball, though. The Master Ball given to him by his previous mentor, Professor Rowan. It might come in handy if he found one of the few decent Pokémon here. He wasn't interested in meeting the resident Professor, so he turned his eyes from the decorated building and walked over to the girl with the Roserade. "Hey, is that yours?" he asked nonchalantly.

Camille turned at the sound of someone's voice, and saw a boy standing there. Assuming he meant her Roserade, she nodded. "Yes, this is my Roserade. She was my first Pokémon." She said.

"Hm, that's interesting. I dropped my first Pokémon a long time ago. Weak little thing. But you go ahead and work on that," he said flatly. He removed the first Poké Ball from his belt and held it up with two fingers. "Kingdra. Level 82. Pure bred. Trained it for 2 years, ever since I caught it in Johto. I think that's good enough for a spot on my team, don't you?" He realized that he had rambled on again. This was a habit he had picked up after his failure at the Sinnoh League: expressing more of his thoughts. He thought about apologizing, but instead coolly adjusted his jacket again. The long collar was really bugging him.

Camille looked at the Poké Ball in his hand, and nodded, but was bothered by his words. "Any Pokémon is good. In fact, if you don't mind my saying, how well a Pokémon performs reflects on how well you raised it." She said coolly. "I received my Roserade as a Budew for my tenth birthday, and we've been inseparable since. My other Pokémon are just as strong and as well-bonded with me."

"While I do agree that no Pokémon is the best, I do think you should make your Pokémon as best as it can be. I don't think that means lots of love, but you have your way and I have mine." He took out the remaining three Poké Balls, held them between his fingers, but shook his head and clipped them back on. "We should battle sometime. You seem alright."

Cole Jacobson, expert Trainer and semi-finalist in the Kanto League, departed the boat, his Ninetales trailing behind. He saw a boy and a girl talking a short distance away, and walked up.

"Nice Roserade," Cole commented, upon seeing the girl's Pokemon. "She looks well-trained. Was that your starter?" Amber, Cole's Ninetales, seemed fascinated by the Grass-type, observing it with the eyes for which she was named.

Cooper noticed that both Trainers had their Pokémon out. "What is this, Amity Square?" he asked scornfully. "Having your Pokémon out like that is just asking for something bad to happen. Do you want all of that training to go to waste?"

"Really?" Cole said, turning to glare at the boy. "I can assure you that if someone attempted to steal my Pokemon, Amber here would give them a lashing they wouldn't soon forget."

"Hi, I'm Cole," Cole said, turning back to the girl. "You are?"

Cooper was alarmed by the sudden hostility. "OK, OK, that's fine with me. Don't say I didn't warn you."
He removed his first Ball and sent out his Kingdra. "Alright, we need to practice that Thrash attack. I don't care if it hurts; get to it." Kingdra gave a melancholy sigh and followed him to a clear area with a tree in the middle. Kingdra then began throwing itself against the tree.

(( Kind of a coincidence, but we've got a Fire-Water-Grass thing going on. Good for the first Gym. If the other three don't show, this might be our group. ))

((Cooper really is a terrible person.))

(( I was going for someone like Paul, but I do agree that he's worse. Character development is key in this RP. ))

Camille watched with an unreadable expression as Cooper commanded his Kingdra. She considered saying something, but decided it wasn't worth it, and turned to Cole. "I'm Camille. And yes, Roserade is my start Pokémon." She said. This time, Roserade smiled and waved

"You haven't so much as put a dent in it. Pitiful." Cooper extended his Poké Ball, but instead of calling back Kingdra, he threw it forcefully, causing the Pokémon visible pain before sucking it back into the confines of the device. Cooper knew that the training would be harsh, but ever since he was defeated by Sinnoh's champion, he had dedicated his life to making his Pokémon as strong as possible. Kingdra had been his best since he could remember, and the Dragon Pokémon would never complain. He clipped the ball back to his belt, feeling the slightest bit of remorse as he started for the meeting house.

"You know, if you treat your Pokémon the way you do, their performance value is bound to decrease. I've met many Trainers like you, and it's always been the same." Camille said. "If you want your Pokémon to do well for you, you have to be patient and kind with it. Take it from a semi-finalist at the Sinnoh League."

"S-semi finalist?" Cooper thought, surprised. He spoke up. "You're saying that you taught this Roserade so well that it made it to the semi-finals, and you treated it like a friend?!"

"Not just Roserade, but all of my Pokémon." Camille said. "And for the first half of the Sinnoh League, she was just a Roselia. In fact, in the first round, she won a close battle against my rival's Gliscor." Roserade nodded in agreement. "The bond between Trainer and Pokémon knows no bounds."

"Not to mention," Cole said, walking up, "That I made it to the semi-finals in Kanto through treating my Pokemon as equals. And, like Camille said, a Pokemon is going to work harder when it knows that you're treating it with respect."

Nate brushed the hair out of his face and walked off the boat, staring at his reflection in the water as he looked down. "So this is Nuvema Town" he thought to himself, smelling the fresh air and watching as a breeze blew the nearby trees "I like it" he smiled. He looked around to see if he could find any newcomers to Unova, like himself. He spotted what appeared to be a group of trainers arguing and walked towards them
