OoC: So the story begins...
Historius awoke, beginning his day in pain, through his broken wing. The recent attacks from the wall still pained him. But, he had other things to focus on. He was the governor of New Foran, and had work to do.
His first part of the day was to eat his meal, which wasn't much. Just a few berries with some Pecha Bread is all. It was only a few days since the retreat, and he was glad that some groups of Pokémon decided to leave to make new settlements after the excitement settled. That gave way to farming towns, and more room as well.
Afterward, he had to see how New Foran Central was doing. The hub of the new world, this is where most of the Pokémon stayed to remake civilization. The other four major cities were out of sight, but all could see the poorly made roads leading to them. Trade was coming back, even if currency wasn't. *All will be well soon... I hope.* Historius thought.
Soon after looking at the small city, a black Riolu came in. With her color and strange glow, it was rather hard to miss her. She looked up at Historius on his perch and announced, "Message from Mayor Martre sir!". Historius looked down at her.
"Ah, Carla! Good to see you girl! And no need for the sirs here. There is no one important around.", Historius quietly said. He enjoyed the girl, even if she was more secretive than she should be. Old habits are hard to break, he supposed.
"Yes Historius. Anyway, Martre reported that the inhabitants of Kaykard are growing more restless by the day. They are strong supporters of what they call the 'Desecrators'. From the crowd, he guessed it was some sort of organization that wants a different type of government: a hierarchy. The king would be their leader, who calls himself the General.", Carla reported. She adjusted her scarf over her cloak. It was hard getting used to talking to people, even with the days she spent with Historius.
Historius gave a cry of despair. "Desecrators! Augh, just when I thought it couldn't get worse. The Societors who are organizing the new democracy are going to be furious! And with the recent evacuation, everything has gone crazy! We're lucky we have even gotten this many settlements in so short of time!" Historius cried. He then hopped of his perch and went to his desk. There was new laws to pass, disputes to settle, even one about a stolen umbrella cart! What's next?
Carla looked up to the roof of the makeshift building and sighed. Then she replied, "At least there are towns here, Historius. Without them, who knows what would be here?". Historius looked at the cloaked Riolu, and replied.
"You are right Carla. If only Conner were here, than he could help me." Soon afterward, there was a soft beeping sound from a desk. Historius knew what that meant, and scrambled frantically to find the source. After several minutes, he found a small, square device with several buttons and a screen on the face. He clicked a button, and the screen flashed to life, with a ragged Lucario in a forest background.
"Conner! I am glad you are safe! This communicator really does work this far! Now, I think I will call it the 'Distance-Viewer', but for now let's call it the Viewer. How are you doing?", Historius asked. Conner looked around himself, seeing that he is ragged.
"I am doing fine Historius. Other than some bumps and bruises, I am okay. I just can't remember how I landed...", Conner responded. After some thought, he shook his head, and said, "Never mind that now. How is it going in New Foran?". Historius looked down, and sighed.
"The Foraners have elected me the Governer of the region, with Gardner and Martre leading some smaller cities throughout.", Historius explained. Conner gave a look of surprise.
"That is wonderful news Historius! How could that be bad?", Conner asked. Historius gave a shrug, as best as he could with his wing in a cast.
"There are now opposing sides to this new society. My side is the Societors, who are trying to get this new democracy of Old Foran back into action. The new opposing side are the old LCF, who call themselves the Desecrators now. They want to create a hierarchy with the king being their general. I don't know who it is, but it will certainly not be good. But more about you. Have you seen any inhabitants?" Historius asked.
Conner shook his head. "I have not seen any inhabitants. Wait... hold on. I see a... Zoroark? I will call you back late Historius.", Conner said quietly. The screen went dark, and Historius put the communicator back onto his desk. He sighed.
"It was good to see my friend again Carla. I am glad he is safe.", Historius said quietly. Carla nodded.
"I was glad to see the hero of our region as well! I will be even prouder to wear this scarf now.", Carla replied. She tightened up the piece of fabric. Historius laughed.
Then, he said, "You should be. He was by far the best Pokémon I knew. We had better wait for his next call instead of calling him back ourselves. While we're waiting, we might as well work on some of this business." He then started working on signing papers, then sending them off through Carla. While doing this, he sat quietly and thought, *What is the strange land that Conner landed in? I had better research on it as soon as I get the region name.*. There are more pressing matters to attend to now.

Gardner was by far the most unlikely suspect for a democratic position. But, the changed LCF members loved his leadership, despite how he treated them. So, Mayor Gardner of Granden was here to lead. And he was more susceptible to reasoning from his peers now, which was a great aspect for a mayor.
Right then he was handling a fight between an angry Berry Salesman and a hungry Snorlax over a communicator, when he received another call. He apologized for leaving, and over a cry of surprise, he answered another call. It was Mayor Martre, and he looked distressed, for a Metagross that is.
"Martre! It has been several days since I saw you! How has it been in Kaykard?", Gardner asked. Martre gave a screech of irritation.
"Horrible it is. Horrible. I can't seem to calm down the inhabitants, and they are soon going to exchange me for the Desecrators' General. What am I going to do." Martre asked in a metallic monotone. Being a robot was not the best for describing a predicament.
Gardner looked at Martre at the screen. "I will send some of my own Steel-Types to help you. Meanwhile, I need to handle a deal between an angry salesman and a hungry Snorlax. So long.", Gardner replied.
"So long. Thank you for the help.", Martre replied. Gardner switched off the communicator and turned on another call.
"So Harry, you were talking about some stolen Oran Berries. Oh, it was an entire bushel you say? Well, we'll see if that is right", Gardner said to the other side of the line. This is going to be a long day.
