Pokémon: The Return of Team Galactic (PG)- RPG Thread

I had previously done this RPG on SPPf, but it never really finished, so I hope it can on BMGf! I'll definitely be more active here.

Plot: It all happened 1 year ago. Lucas, a Pokemon trainer striving to be the best in Sinnoh and his sister, Dawn, striving to be the best Sinnoh coordinater, took down Team Galactic. This event took place at Spear Pillar when the leader of Team Galactic, Cyrus, used his 2 Red Chains to summon both Dialga, the governor of time, and Palkia, the governor of space. Looker, a member of the International Police and Cynthia, the current Sinnoh Champion, were there to help. Former commanders, Mars and Jupiter, were there to help Cyrus. Things went wrong when a black hole appeared from the ground between Cyrus and the two Pokemon, Dialga and Palkia. From the black hole, Giratina had appeared. Giratina roams around as the only Pokemon in the Distortion World. The Distortion World is a place parallel to the human and Pokemon world. Giratina pulls Cyrus into the Distortion World and then Lucas, Dawn, Looker and Cynthia go on in. When they found Cyrus, Lucas and Dawn battled, and beat Cyrus. Giratina makes the realization not to stay mad since Cyrus will just stay in the Distortion World. Dialga and Palkia then go back to their respective dimensions.

But, that is what happened a year ago. Now, Cyrus is at the Distortion World, Mars and Jupiter are good girls now, Charon is arrested because of his actions at Stark Mountain, but people have reason to believe that Saturn will recreate Team Galactic although no one has seen him. Most people think that Team Galactic is gone forever; others believe that Team Galactic joined forces with other evil organizations, but Looker, Cynthia and Rowan all have reason to believe that Saturn has recreated Team Galactic. They do not know their current intentions now though. The three of them fear that Team Galactic has the same plan for a new world that involves a Pokemon far stronger than Dialga or Palkia. Cynthia is not accepting any Pokemon battles right now for people to steal her title of Sinnoh Champion until all of this is resolved.
Now, you are probably wondering where you come in. Well, Rowan is expecting new people to come for your starter Pokemon and so you guys can begin your journeys. Now that Lucas and Dawn are in a new region, they cannot help so these new people should help. You guys are to report to his lab in Sandgem Town at the Sinnoh Region to retrieve your starter Pokemon.

(Be sure to know what you are doing with your characters. Try to have your character(s) stick with other RPGers. Also, the events of this RPG take place in the year 2010 because it takes place after Platinum, which was released internationally in 2009. By the end, we'd be in the year 2013, so it lasts from 2010-2013.)

General Rules:
1. We are required to abide by all of the BMGf rules that relating to RPGs.
2. Under no circumstances can you argue with me, although you may point out mistakes NICELY.
3. You’ve got to stay active! I’m taking a lot of time to do this so don’t be rude by not being active! It’s a different story if you have a midterm in school or something, so arrange for someone to take over if something like that happens.
4. The RPG is rated PG so let’s keep it like that. No extreme violence or anything like that.
5. Don’t flame other members and don’t be an annoying troll.
6. Check the first post for some answers before asking questions.
7. Reply to VMs/PMs myself or other members of the RPG send you, especially if they are asking a question. It's rude if someone asks you a question and you don't reply.
7. Have fun!!

RPG Thread Rules:
1. Only the accepted members, mods giving warnings (which should not happen) and I are allowed to post in the RPG Thread.
2. You are expected to stay active and post in the RPG contributing posts.
3. Your posts are expected to have great usage of punctuation marks, capitalization, etc.
4. Your Pokemon should not be too powerful early on unless if they are fully evolved Pokemon caught when you have 6 badges or something. Egg moves are allowed.
5. If you have 2 characters, they don't have to travel together, but please don't ignore one.
6. OOC (out of character) posts can be posted in the RPG thread although you must also have a post for the RPG as well.
7. Please don’t make your characters feel like a master. Try and make them lose at least 1 gym/a bunch of contests. (One coordinater will win the Jubilife Contest, 1st contest location)
8. Don’t bash other character’s posts. Only the mods and I can post about posts that an RPGer makes if it does not fit the standards.
9. Bunnying is only allowed if the person whose character(s) you want to bunny allows it.
10. Have fun!

About Gyms and the Sinnoh League:
The eight Sinnoh Region gyms are located in their game locations in that they are in the games. Their teams can be reasonable Pokémon that are not their DPPt teams although you can’t do something like Volkner having Raikou. Their amount of Pokemon should be reasonable too.

Gym battles can be multiple posts to hold suspense and there is no maximum requirement of posts, but please make it reasonable. You can have your rival or character beat a gym leader easily like Paul did with Maylene and Ash with Wake, but don’t make it frequent and early on.

Now, with the league, there are a total of 32/64/128 (will decide when I see how many trainers and rivals people will have) entrants in the Sinnoh League which is in the same location as in DPPt, north of Sunyshore City. We'll have to agree on what rank we want people to get in the Sinnoh League later. You can only have a maximum of 4 rivals each. The Elite 4 Members can appear throughout the course of Sinnoh and can battle some RPGers if they want and even appear more than once. After the Sinnoh League, we'll all regroup somewhere and the RPG will end.


About Contests and the Grand Festival:
Unlike the anime, there are 4 ribbons for each co ordinater to collect. The locations are:
Jubilife City (1st visit)
Floaroma Town (1st visit)
Hearthome City (1st visit)
Solaceon Town (1st visit)
Celestic Town (1st visit)
RPG- Only Towns (Made up although you’ve got to tell me the location and whatnot beforehand which should be reasonable and after Jubilife City. I don’t want RPGers flying all around Sinnoh for a contest.)

Anyone can enter a contest, though they must get a contest pass and ribbon case (which are available at every contest hall, for convenience purposes). The Grand Festival will be held at Valor Lakefront. Basically, after beating TG, we are taken to Sunyshore City for the final badge and go to Valor Lakefront for the Grand Festival (there can be some contests in between) and then head to Lily of the Valley Island for the Sinnoh League. Any more contests shall get covered by then. 32/64/128 (will decide later) people enter with 16/32/64 people advancing past the appeal stage with them being rivals, RPG characters and NPCs. Each coordinator has a maximum of 4 rivals each. After the Grand Festival, we go to the league and the RPG ends.

You can use the same Pokémon throughout an entire contest. There will also be Double Performance contests, namely at the Grand Festival. Jubilife wont be a double performance contest because it is the first one, though we will decide for the others later.

Team Galactic Appearances:
Team Galactic will be appearing quite a few times throughout the RPG. It's basically a free for all battle between us and the grunts/commanders. Here are their ONLY locations (with the Commander(s), if applicable):
Jubilife City (2nd visit) - 5 Grunts with 3 Zubats (15 Zubats in total). Looker appears afterwards and talks about Team Galactic.

Valley Windworks- Venus (Clefairy and Zubat) and Neptune (Riolu and Zubat) with 5 Grunts that have 3 Zubats each. Looker appears late.

Eterna City- A blue-haired man with a G on his shirt appears and looks at the statue of a Pokémon. (Arceus) No battling Team Galactic and the leader’s name is revealed later.

Veilstone City- Earth (Plusle, Minun and Golbat) 4 Grunts with 2 Golbats each. Everyone struggles but then, Looker shows up and helps out with his Pokemon.

Lake Valor- Uranus (Bronzor, Grotle and Golbat) 3 Grunts with 3 Golbats each. They capture Azelf. Looker appears late.

Lake Verity- Venus (Clefairy, Chansey and Golbat) and Neptune (Riolu, Prinplup and Golbat) with 4 grunts that have 2 Golbats and 1 Zubat each. We all lose. Looker appears late and Mesprit is captured.

Lake Acuity- Mercury (Magmar, Monferno and Golbat) and Earth (Plusle, Minun and Golbat) 3 Grunts with 2 Golbats each and 1 Zubat each. We get creamed. Uxie getting caught and Looker appearing late.

Fuego Ironworks- Team Galactic Leader ??? (Three shady Pokémon) We (including Cynthia) see Looker lose against the leader. The Leaders gets three Red Chains and leaves. (No battling. I’ll control Looker VS the Leader)

Spear Pillar- Mercury (Magmortar, Infernape and Golbat), Earth (Plusle, Minun and Golbat), Venus (Clefable, Blissey and Golbat), Neptune (Lucario, Empoleon and Golbat) and Uranus (Bronzong, Torterra and Golbat) Saturn (Alakazam, Toxicroak, Bronzong and Crobat) Looker and Cynthia battle Saturn. There are 5 commanders, so we'll organize who battles who later.

In the original, I had my characters battle the commanders and everyone else battles the grunts. I have changed that now, but if people don't mind, I could change it back. I just figured it would be more fair this way.

On SPPf, we have Discussion Threads to talk about what we plan to do in the RPG, but I don't think those exist on BMGf. I guess we could just talk about it later in the SU Thread after the RPG has begun, in the RPG as OOC posts or over VM/PM.

Now for my first official RPG Post here:

Zach caught up to Caroline said, "Sorry for the hold up, Caroline! Let's head through Route 201 and get to Sandgem Town!"

Caroline smiled and held out her hand. "Here, honey. Let's hold hands, K? I don't wanna get separated from you. I doubt you'd last long without me." Caroline gave Zach a cute wink.

Zach blushed heavily from that and didn't deny that last part, but still edged back slightly. "Uh, no thanks. I don't wanna hold your hand. Let's just walk together there, but nothing crazy please."

Caroline gasped. "What?! Zachy poo, are you serious? Why don't you want to hold my hand? It's just a hand. PLEEEEEEASE hold my hand! Come on, I know you want to really badly! Your crush on me is as big as the one I have on you!"

Caroline moved closer to Zach to grab his hand, but he kept on letting go. Suddenly, she looked down and saw Zach's wet jeans.

"Zach! You peed your jeans!" She was shocked about that as Zach tried to cover it up with his hands.

"Yeah. When you kissed me before, I guess it made me a bit shocked and I peed a little," Zach explained, now pretty embarrassed.

Deep down, Caroline seemed interested in this and kept it in mind for future reference. She said to Zach, "Now I have a new nick name for you: Pee-Pee Boy! I guess you don't want me to call you that in public and I wont..." Zach breathed a heavy sigh of relief from this. "......under one condition." Zach was shocked and tried to prepare for the worst.

"The condition is......." Caroline ran over to hug Zach tightly and romantically looked him in the eyes. She then moved closer and gave him a big kiss on the cheek, bigger than before!

This made Zach even more nervous than before and he started uncontrollably peeing himself! Caroline jumped out of the way to not get wet. When he was done, Zach saw that his jeans from the top up to his knees were soaking wet, on both the front and back! He sighed heavily. "Wow, thanks a lot Caroline! And these are one of my favorite pairs of jeans! Ugh, wow! Let's get our starters and get this over with already!"

At first, Caroline though it was funny that he peed his jeans, but started to feel bad when he started yelling at her. "Zachy poo, I'm sorry. Do you want to change? I promise I wont look." She put on a puppy dog face and pushed his hand out of the way when he tried to wipe off Caroline's kiss.

"No, I'll just walk around like this. Come on, let's go!" He responded and started pushing her along.

When they finally reached Sandgem Town, the lab where Professor Rowan is was right near where they were.

"Hey, Zachy poo, are you sure you don't want to change? It will be embarrassing walking around, especially to Professor Rowan's lab, with wet jeans," Caroline inquired one final time.

"Yes, I'm sure, 'Caroline-y poo'. You can just walk close in front of me," Zach responded.

Caroline giggled at Zach's comment and moved very close behind him, but made sure their legs weren't touching so her jeans would be wet.

She then opened the door and they both entered.


Clearly your first post here doesn't have to be getting your starter, but please make your posts have decent lengths at least a fair amount of the time. In my next post, my characters will get their starters and catch some Pokémon.

"Here we are," Carson Orr said as he and Riolu walked up to Professor's Lab in Sandgem Town. "This is where our job begins."

"Rio?" Riolu asked. As usual, Carson couldn't actually translate Riolu-ese, but he caught the gist of what his sidekick was saying.

"Of course we can do this. It's what we've been training for." Still, he hesitated briefly. His physical training was more than sufficient, but his master had cautioned him about not letting his hatred for Team Galactic override his judgment. It was one of those things easily discussed over morning coffee, but out here...

Carson shook away his doubts. He had a job to do, and he needed to get started. "Let's go," he said as he and Riolu walked into the lab.

There were already two people here, a boy and a girl. Carson started to approach them, and then saw that the boy's pants appeared to be wet. He immediately decided he didn't want to know what that was about.

(So if you guys ever wanted to make an comments, you can just make parentheses in bold like this and tell us what you wanted to know. After my characters catch some Pokémon in Route 202 (which will be in the next post), they'll be make in Sandgem Town for one last thing.)

When they entered the lab, they were greeted by a bearded man with suit on.

"Hello, my name is Professor Rowan and I hand out starting Pokémon to new trainers. Judging by how you both appear to be young, I assume that is why each of you are here?"

Caroline nodded. "Zach and I came from Twinleaf Town and are ready to start our journey." Zach was happy at the fact that she didn't seem to embarrass him with that statement.

"And you must be Caroline? If I'm not mistaken, Zach is choosing Piplup and you are choosing Chimchar, according to the applications you two sent. My assistant is currently retrieving them, as well as your Poké Balls & Pokédex," Professor Rowan explained.

Just as he finished, the assistant came and handed out Poké Balls and a Pokédex (red for Zach and pink for Caroline) to Zach & Caroline. He was slightly disgusted at Zach's wet jeans.

"Alright, included in the Poké Balls is each of your starters. There is something important I'd like to explain. You two and a few other trainers had been chosen for an important mission to take down a potentially reborn Team Galactic," Professor Rowan explained.

"Oh yeah, I heard rumors about them being back. Hopefully those other trainers show up soon and we can all team up to take them down!" Zach exclaimed, putting his fists together.

"Hey sweetie, calm down! You're in a public place." Caroline turned around to try and get him to quiet down a bit.

"In any case," Professor Rowan said, " I wish you both the best of luck. Have fun out there, but don't do anything crazy, especially you Zach."


Zach sighed and looked down at his wet jeans before Caroline nudged him out of the lab.

On the way out, she noticed a boy entering. The lab she wondered if he was another starting trainer. She quickly said, "Hi!" before moving on.

Zach & Caroline got together near a bench and thought about what to do next.

"Do you want to go catch some Pokémon on Route 202?" Zach asked her.

She thought for a moment and replied, "Yeah, sure. I think we should split up so we don't get in each others way and meet up by this bench. OK, cutie pie?"

Zach blushed at her calling him cutie pie, but sighed when she said to split up. "I'd rather us stick together, but I guess splitting up wouldn't be bad. I'll see you in a little bit!"

Caroline was about to blow him a kiss, but decided to wave as he did and they headed off in different directions into Route 202.

 

[DracoMan]

(So do we control the NPCs ourselves? And how much do our characters interact with each other?)

Carson watched the two leave, still not quite sure what to make of the boy with the wet pants. He quickly diverted his thoughts away from them. Professor Rowan was here, and it was time for business.

"I'm Carson Orr," he introduced himself.

Rowan nodded. "Yes, I've been expecting you. And I see you've already got your first Pokémon," he said as he looked at Riolu. "Well, then, let me just get you your Pokedex and Poke Balls."

A minute later, Carson was set to start his journey. Rowan regarded him for a moment. "I understand what's at stake for you. Your master told me about your...history...concerning Team Galactic. He wanted me to remind you to be careful."

"Thanks," Carson said, hiding his mild irritation. I've heard that line before. "Ready, Riolu?"

"Rio!"

"Good." Together, the two stepped out of Rowan's lab, on their way to Rt. 202.

 

[Agent_K]

The meeting Agent K had had with his contact moments ago left a bad taste in his mouth which had nothing to do with the tea. This bizarre mission he had been assigned filled him with a sense of foreboding. Forced to travel the Sinnoh region, challenging gyms, collecting badges all while bringing down Team Galactic.

With no Pokemon.

Well, except one.

The Piplup he had received from Professor Rowen before he quickly left town was going to have to do until he could get access to his Pokemon back at headquarters. With its Poke Ball in hand, he sighed.

"Let's just get on with this."

 

[Hollywood]

“Decorus, if you don’t hurry up, we’ll never get to Professor Rowan’s Lab on time.” A faint voice beamed from downstairs in a pretty girl’s bedroom. In the bedroom a female Ralts was sleeping on a tidily made bed. “Decorus, you have to wake up!” The voice was now louder as a blonde girl walked into her room.

Alison Finlay; 17 and beginning her journey as a Coordinator. She was wearing a crisp blue shirt that was tucked into denim shorts that exposed her legs. Her beige and brown bag hung around her left elbow with her arm raised, a fairly ladylike way to hold ones bags.

The Ralts woke up from her Trainer shouting at her. “You’ve slept all day Decorus and now you’ve missed breakfast. Mother has packed you some berries that you can eat on the way though” she quickly snapped as she picked up her awoken psychic Pokemon and headed downstairs. “Ok mum, thank you for breakfast. Decorus and I are leaving now, we’ll make sure to write and call you every so often and make sure you watch me on TV.” With that final goodbye, Alison had shut the door behind her and was en route to Sandgem Town to begin her journey.

After a while, Alison finally made it to Sandgem Town. She rushed towards the building that looked like the lab, just knowing she’d probably be one of the last ones.

“Come on Decorus, we’re late because of you” she commanded as her Ralts was walking slowly. Stopping just at the entrance, she took a small mirror out of her bag to check her hair was alright before walking into the lab. As expected, she was one of the latter trainers who were coming to see the Professor.

“Hi sir, so sorry for the delay” she apologised, bowing slightly due to respect.

“It’s fine; there are loads of people coming in today. I see you have your Pokemon here with you so here is a Pokedex and some Pokeballs.” Alison had been given a pink Pokedex and some Pokeballs from the Professor. “Oh one last thing before you head off, you do know you were chosen to ensure that any possibility of Team Galactic returning is stopped?” Alison simply nodded, a gesture which clearly demonstrated her reply. “Well then, good luck on your journey…” concluded Rowan.

Walking out of the lab, Alison pocketed the items given by the Professor before facing her Ralts. “Decorus, let’s head out to Route 202 and make the way to Jubilife City. The first contest is being held there and we have to register.” The Ralts was half listening to the trainer but looked out towards the beach at the south end of the town. “Now’s not the time for beach Decorus, let’s go!” With that, the female and her Pokemon were off towards Route 212.

(You can control NPCs yourself (except another character's rival, unless granted permission, and Team Galactic. By the way, when I have my Pokémon speak, I'll show what they say in English, but obviously the humans wont understand them.)
Zach ran off into Route 202, almost a little glad to be away from Caroline. He opened up Piplup's Poké Ball and out popped the penguin, eager for a battle.

"Hey, Piplup! I'm your trainer, Zach! Let's find some new Pokémon!" Zach told Piplup.

Piplup looked at his trainer and sighed. Zach's wet jeans made Piplup think his trainer was kinda immature, but Piplup trudged along with Zach.

It wasn't long before they heard rustling in nearby bushes and they got ready. Out popped a Magby, who faced the two, ready for a battle.

"Awesome, a Magby! Piplup, use Peck!" Zach called out to his Pokémon.

Piplup nodded and ran fast towards Magby. His beak also began to glow white as he picked up more speed. Unfortunately, Magby jumped into the air and fired an Ember Attack straight at Piplup!

"Piplup, counter with Bubble!" Zach commanded.

Piplup shot a small array of bubbles from his mouth, which knocked away the Ember and pelted Magby hard, who fell to the ground equally as hard.

"Now, go Poké Ball!" Zach yelled as he threw a ball from his belt. The ball hit Magby and soon consumed the Pokémon. After 3 shakes, the ball made a pinging noise, which meant a successful capture.

Zach was overjoyed by this and picked up the ball. He ran off, with Piplup right behind him to see if he can find another Pokémon and/or Caroline.

Caroline was having a much tougher time. While Zach quickly found Magby, Caroline was finding nothing, not even something weak like a Magikarp or a Bidoof. She was quickly getting annoying.

"This is so frustrating!" She complained. "We've been out here for a few minutes and still even one Pokémon has appeared."

She leaned up against a nearby tree, placing her hands in her jeans pockets and thought about Zach. "I wonder how Zachy poo is doing. I know it was my idea for us to split up, but it's so boring without Zachy poo. I know we'll meet up by the bench, but I kinda miss seeing his handsomeness. I know he's fine, but hopefully he misses me. Right, Chimmy?" Caroline looked down at her starter, who was standing right next to her.

Chimchar, who had a pink bowtie tied around the crest of her hair sticking up, wished the best for her trainer and hoped to see Zach & Piplup soon.

Just then, a Misdreavus popped up and floated near Caroline, shocking her. "Whoa, uh, hi. Looks like we've found a Pokémon! Chimmy, you aready?" Caroline looked over at Chimchar, who got into a battle stance.

Misdreavus shook her head no, insisting not to battle. "Huh, that's weird? Do you just want to join up with me, having no battle?" Caroline asked.

Misdreavus nodded happily. "Awesome, well, welcome to the team!" Caroline took a ball from her belt and opened it up. Misdreavus went right in and was caught.

"Well, looks like we found a new friend, Chimmy! Let's go find Zachy poo & Piplup!" Caroline said as she and her Chimchar ran off to find the two.

Zach & Piplup were also running, unaware that they would run straight into Caroline & Chimchar. The four soon collided into each other!

 

[Agent_K]

Agent K travelled north along route 202 for quite some time on his way to Jubilife City. He had little interest in capturing any wild Pokemon and avoided the tall grass as best he could. In Jubilife, he'd be able to contact HQ. Maybe he'd be able to get something - anything - other than this Piplup.

He would have likely reached Jubilife by now had he not been curious about this abandoned building he'd stumbled upon. From what he could tell, it used to be a factory if some variety. He had barely taken one step into the building when he was attacked by a Koffing.

"Koffing!" it cried, clearly making every attempt at being as intimidating as possible.

Kay, however, was unruffled. "Go, Piplup."

At its master's command, Piplup emerged. It puffed itself up to its unimpressive full height and readied itself for battle. Agent K brandished a spare Poke Ball. "Do something useful, Piplup and help me catch a Pokemon that is actually worth while."

 

[DracoMan]

"Keep alert," Carson said to Riolu as the two made their way towards Jubilife. By "senses," he of course meant more than just eyes and ears. He knew Riolu's Aura powers would come in handy.

"Rio!" Riolu responded as he held his head up, ready to detect any--

"Rio!" He jumped from Carson's shoulder as a small Flying Pokémon almost knocked him to the ground.

"What the--" Carson's confusion wore off when he saw the Pokémon. "A Starly!" He knew all about them, including how powerful they'd become. This would be a great addition to his team. "Okay, Riolu, time to battle!"

"Rio!" Riolu was on his feet and ready as the Starly came back around.

"Use Quick Attack!" Carson ordered. Riolu obeyed, slamming into Starly hard enough to send the bird reeling. It quickly recovered, though, using its own Quick Attack to deal Riolu an equal hit.

"Counter!" Riolu responded to the hit, slamming Starly with even more damage than he'd been dealt. The bird hit the ground hard.

"Okay," Carson said as he pulled out a Poke Ball. "Go, Poke Ball!" he cried as he threw the ball at Starly. In a flash of red, the bird disappeared.

One shake...two shakes...three shakes...

Ding!

"Yes!" Carson shouted as he picked up the ball and raised it above his head. "We caught Starly!"

"Rio!" Riolu joined in, slightly weakened but still on his feet.

"I wonder how the others are doing," Carson muttered as he and Riolu continued on their way. "For that matter, I wonder where they are." He figured they'd all still be on the same route, so they'd meet up at some point. And speak of the devil, ahead of him he saw the two kids from the lab. He still wasn't sure about the boy with the wet pants, and wasn't sure if he should engage them in any sort of conversation.

 

[Agent_K]

The Koffing made a difficult target for the inexperienced Piplup. It ducked and weaved in and around its opponent's attacks. It didn't help that the Piplup didn't seem to know any water type moves at all.

"This is ridiculous." he muttered. "I don't have time for this." With this, he drew out a spare Poke Ball and lopped it at the Koffing once his Piplup was out of the way. It struck the wild Pokemon, absorbed it and fell to the ground, shaking violently.

Agent K hadn't expected this to work. After all he had hardly managed to damage the Koffing. But the Poke Ball went still. Apparently, he had simply taken the Pokemon by surprise.

Piplup wad surprised too. It turned around to face its master and puffed itself up, squeaking with indignation.

"Well you weren't getting the job done." he said as he retrieved Koffing's Poke Ball. "If you're going to be my Pokemon you're going to have to do much better than that. Now come on."

With Piplup back in its Poke Ball and a new member joining his team, Kay left the old factory, headed back out to route 202 and resumed his journey north to Jubilife City.

(Decided that when my Pokémon speak, I wont show it in Pokémon Language, instead just in English and in italics. Of course humans still wont be able to understand them.)
"Ow, my head. Geez, not again," Zach said as he rubbed his head in pain. He looked over and immediately noticed Caroline and grabbed her hand. "Here, let me help you up, Caroline!"

She smiled as Zach grabbed her hand as he pulled her up, she jumped into his arms.

"Oh Zachy poo, I missed you so much! Did you miss me?" Caroline was hugging Zach very tightly and wrapped her arms around his waist, almost knocking him off balance. When she asked the question, she gave him a puppy dog face.

Zach blushed intensively and couldn't think of what to say. Caroline started slipping from Zach's grip and asked, "Please grab me so I don't fall, my little cuddly poo!"

When she called him her "little cuddly poo", Zach just lost his grip on Caroline and she slipped off of him, falling on her butt into mud!

"Ow, ow, ow! What would you do that for? That hurt so much!" She got up and looked at her backside, to see that the seat of her jeans was completely covered in mud, Caroline almost shrieked, but let out a little yelp instead. "So you pee one of your favorite pairs of jeans and now mine gets muddy! That's so mean! Thanks a lot, Zach!" She tried to wipe it off, but that didn't help at all and just made her hands muddy. Tears started to roll down Caroline's face. "T-these were o-one of my f-favorite pairs of j-j-jeans and now you've r-r-ruined them! The m-m-m-mud wont come off!" She said this while still crying.

"Caroline, I'm so sorry! It'll probably come off with some water. Please don't cry, I didn't mean to ruin your jeans." Zach went to go wipe off Caroline's tears, but she backed away.

Giving him a very furious look that scared him, Caroline said, "I'm going to see if there is a bathroom nearby to wash this off. Don't follow me. We'll meet up by the bench in Sandgem Town." She turned to Chimchar, who Piplup had helped up when they collided, giving her a happy look and motioning her to follow.

As the girls walked away, Zach looked at how muddy the seat of Caroline's jeans were and thought how funny it would be if others noticed, which they likely would.

"Well, Piplup," Zach sighed. "I guess we should head back to the bench I hope Caroline never gives me that furious look again. Really scares me."

Piplup sighed, not really understanding human love and to him, Chimchar was the dangerous one.

Just as they were about to begin their long trek back, there was rustling in a nearby bush and out popped a Budew!

"Before we go, I want to catch this Budew! I'd love to have a Grass type on my team!" Zach said to Piplup. "Since you're weak to Grass types, I'll use my newly caught Magby!" Zach took Magby's ball from his belt and threw it into the air. The fire type popped out and after Zach pointed at the opponent, Budew, Magby shot a Flamethrower at it, severely weakening the Budew.

Zach, amazed at Magby's power, almost forgot to throw a ball at Budew until Piplup started jumping up and down, pointing at Budew. Zach threw a ball at it and after 3 pings, it was another successful capture!

"Woohoo!" He exclaimed. "Another Pokémon is added to our team! Nice job, guys!" Zach congratulated Piplup & Magby for a job well done.

Piplup was going to gibe Magby a high five (or high flipper in Piplup's case), but Magby declined, which annoyed Piplup. Piplup started yelling at him and Magby yelled back. Before a major fight could break out, Zach intervened and said, "No fighting, guys. You're both supposed to be friends, now go in your Poké Balls so you guys can get healed at the center." The two sighed and were eventually returned to their respective Poké Balls as Zach headed to the Pokémon Center.

After getting healed and exiting the center, Zach brought Piplup back out and headed to where the bench was. It wasn't facing them, but Zach & Piplup could see the girls sitting there and Zach got a little nervous. He gulped and then said, "I hope Caroline isn't too mad at him, not that it is entirely my fault, though hell hath no fury like a woman's scorn and Caroline can definitely scorn."

Piplup nudged and Zach and said, "Don't worry about your girlfriend, Zach! I'm sure Caroline still loves and the worst she'll probably do is just yell at you. Besides, it's Chimchar you should be worried about."

A smile grew on Zach's face. "I'll just stay happy about it. Thanks for the advice, Piplup!"

Piplup facepalmed because that wasn't what he said, but joined his trainer as they headed to the girls.

Zach cheerfully said to Caroline, "Hey, dear! How-"

"Sit down!" Caroline yelled as Zach immediately sat down on the bench, not near Caroline.. Piplup sat near Chimchar. Caroline moved right next to Zach and asked, "Why did you do that to me? You let go of me and not only did it hurt,the seat of my jeans got muddy and now look at them!" She turned around to reveal that even though the seat of her jeans isn't muddy anymore, it is soaking wet. "I wet it and that got the mud off, but now it's soaking wet there, not as bad as you at least. But jeans take a while to dry, even though it is fairly moderate weather, and now wherever I sit, that seat will get wet! Not changing for the same reason you wont." She seemed to slowly start to calm down, now that she was getting this off her chest.

"Caroline, please, I'm so very sorry! I didn't mean to let go of you. You know I'd never do that to you. Please forgive me. I was just a bit shocked that you called me your little cuddly poo. I promise to never drop you again." Zach looked her straight in the eyes, his words sincere.

Caroline asked to make sure he was serious and he nodded. Caroline hugged Zach, who quickly hugged her back tightly. "Oh, Zachy poo! Thank you so much! If you don't mind, can I please just give you one little teeny-tiny kiss on the lips, my little cuddly poo?"

Zach sighed, but had a small smile on his face. Though he didn't want to say he loved her, he nodded to her request. The two moved closer and were inches away from touching on the lips.

"Hey, look who it is!" A voice said from near where Zach & Caroline were. The two looked over, still with their lips mere inches away and noticed two very familiar people.

As Agent K arrived in Jubilife City a thought occurred to him. This city, as far as he was aware, was where the Global Trade Station was located. Perhaps if he contacted HQ back in Kanto he could plead his case to his superiors and them send over his Umbreon in return for the Piplup, a species that was virtually non -existent in Kanto.

He was paying more attention to his map rather than where he was going, trying locate the GTS on the map. Which was no doubt why he accidentally bumped into a purple haired woman travelling the opposite direction.

"Oh, excuse me." Kay muttered.

The woman didn't say anything. She glowered at him as they passed and went on her way.

He didn't pay her any mind, though. He was here for a reason.

(After my next post, I think I'll start the Jubilife Contest. Only my character, Caroline, and Hollywood's, Alison, are coordinators. Hollywood, is your character going to enter? Mine is. Trainers can enter, but I prefer that they not win. Sorry if things might seem a bit slow, but they'll keep up soon enough.)
Zach & Caroline looked over to see two of their childhood friends from trainer's school! One was a white skinned girl with blue eyes, a little bit taller than Caroline, but about the same height as Zach. She had on a black, long sleeve shirt and blue jeans just like Caroline's, minus the wetness. She had no belt wrapped around her jeans, but did wear silver low heel shoes. Her hair was long, black and wavy and she also had on a decent amount of makeup.

The other was a white boy with spiky black hair and brown eyes. He was a little taller than the girl and had on a white tank top underneath a black jacket that had its sleeves ripped off. He also wore black jeans with a black belt. He was smirking at Zach & Caroline nearly kissing.

"So, look at the two little lovebirds, Chelsea," The boy turned to the girl, who had her hands on her hips, not very pleased that Zach & Caroline almost kissed.

Zach backed away from Caroline and asked, "Chad, what are you and Chelsea doing here?" As soon as Zach backed away from Caroline, she moved up right next to him, slightly scared to see Chad & Chelsea again.

"We were just in the neighborhood and thought we'd stop by. We've been on a journey for about a year now. We're 11, remember? I got badges from 2 badges already and Chels has gotten 1 ribbon," Chad explained as he looked down and noticed Zach's wet jeans. He couldn't help but laugh. "Haha! Zach, you need to be potty trained or something. How long have you to be kissing for?"

Zach blushed and looked down in complete embarrassment. Caroline wrapped her arms and around him and said to Chad, "Leave my little Zachy poo alone! So what if he had an accident? You're just jealous that I love him and not you. Zachy poo also loves me back," She looked at Zach, who was completely embarrassed now. "Awww, you know it's true, honey." She was about to kiss him on the lips when Chelsea grabbed Zach, releasing him from Caroline's grip. Caroline was shocked by this and looked over at Chelsea in anger.

"Zachy bear......." Chelsea said quietly to Zach. She was holding his hands and said, "Don't you love me? I'm so beautiful and I know you did back in the early days of trainer's school. I'm more beautiful than back then and of course you're so much more handsome, though you were the best looking guy in trainer's school." She gave him a puppy dog face, just like Caroline.

Zach sighed, but did love both Caroline & Chelsea. He whispered to her, "You are very beautiful, but so is Caroline. I love both of you and have a tough time choosing who I like more, so I'll just say I love both of you equally, which kind of is true."

"Meh, whatever. Can I just kiss you on the lips already?" Chelsea asked, as she wrapped her arms around him.

Caroline overheard what Chelsea asked and went over to them. She said, "No, don't kiss my little Zachy poo! It'll make him pee himself more!"

"Haha!" Chad laughed. "So that's how he pees himself? Girls kissing him? What a baby. Still doesn't explain how the butt of your jeans is soaked, hottie. He went over to put his arm around her.

"Stop putting your arm around me. My one true love is Zachy poo and don't call me hottie! Only Zachy poo is privileged to call me whatever he wants to. But if you want to know why my butt is wet..." Just as she was about to explain, Zach interrupted her.

"She hugged me and called me her little cuddly poo. This shocked me and then she sipped from my grip and landed on her butt into some mud. She washed off the mud, but obviously it is now wet there," Zach explained.

Chelsea smiled at this and then just kissed Zach on the lips. This shocked Zach, but he didn't wet himself, nor have the need to. He also didn't back away, which angered Caroline.

She grabbed Zach by the arm, pulling him and away and yelled at Chelsea, "Don't kiss my man ever again! Zachy poo is mine not yours!"

Chelsea retaliated by grabbing Zach's other arm and pulling on him. "Oh yeah? Zachy bear and I have been in love since before we met you, you copycat! I call you a copycat because you're wearing the same jeans as me and trying to be better than me! Zachy bear sees the difference and loves me!"

"First off, his name is Zachy poo! And so what? These jeans look great on me and terrible on you. My entire outfit is better than yours!" Caroline yelled back. The two girls were really starting to get annoyed at each other.

Before Chelsea could counter that, Chad intervened. "You're both beautiful ladies and fighting over this simple kid wont accomplish anything. How about this, Caroline & Chelsea can have a battle and whoever wins travels with Zach and the one who loses (he specifically looked and winked at Caroline) travels with me."

They both accepted and released their grip on Zach. Before they went to find a wide open spot for battle, they each gave Zach a kiss. Caroline's Chimchar, who along with Zach's Piplup saw the whole thing. She blew Piplup a kiss and went to go meet up with her trainer.

"I hope those two ladies don't kill each other or something," Chad muttered as he turned to Zach. "Wow, you sure are Mr. Popular among those two laides,"

Zach felt Chad being a bit jealous, but shrugged it off. He said to him, "Hey, since those crazy girls are having a battle, how about we have a battle. I know you and Chelsea probably have more experience than Caroline & me, but it could still be fun. What do you say?"

Chad shrugged. "Sure, why not. It would great to beat you and show Caroline who's better."

Zach sighed. He really hated that Chad had a crush on Caroline, but recalled Piplup to its ball as the two boys went to find an open spot for battle.

"I'm not working like this." Kay said, speaking quietly in to the receiver of a public telephone inside the GTS. He had reached his superiors back in Kanto.

"This has already been explained to you." said a stern voice on the other end of the line. "You would attract too much attention with your usual team. This mission requires subtlety."

"Do you want subtlety or you want results?" Kay waited for answer but none was offered to him. "I'm at the Global Trade Station in Jubilife. All I want is my Umbreon."

"You better know what you're doing." the voice warned. The line went dead abruptly.

Kay hung up receiver up and turned with Piplup's Poke Ball in hand. He was just about to make his way to one of the vacant trading stations when he was stopped by the woman he had encountered earlier.

"Kay." she said. "It's been a long time."

He looked at her for a long moment. She apparently knew him but he didn't recognise her. But it slowly came back to him. "Ceres?"

Ceres was someone he knew quite well back in Saffron City. One of his dearest friends, he had always known her best for her vibrant red hair. Of course, now it was purple and cut short. She wore a matching purple trench coat that reached her calves. The only other piece of visible clothing was a pair of grey boots.

"What are you doing here?" Kay asked.

"I've been doing a lot of travelling since you left." she said airilly. "Jubilife just so happens to be my most recent destination. I am, however, somewhat interested in that Pokemon contest being held later. Care to join me?"

"I have to do something here. But I'll probably come by afterwards." he said.

She shrugged. "I'll see you then." She kissed his cheek which was followed swiftly by a gentle slap on that same cheek. With that, she turned and left.

Taken only slightly by surprise, he went back to his business. The Poke Ball was still in his hand. "This is goodbye." he said to it. "You won't be missed."

Placing the Poke Ball in the trading station, it disappeared in a flash of light and sparks, soon to be replaced by his Umbreon.

"So, 3 on 3?" Zach asked as he took a Poké Ball from his belt and threw it into the air, revealing Budew.

Chad nodded and thought this would be an easy fight. He brought out his Bibarel.

"I'll go first! Budew, use Bullet Seed!" Zach commanded, ready to get the battle going.

Chad smirked. "Counter that with Ice beam and then finish with Aqua Tail."

Budew shot several seeds from her mouth, but Bibarel shot a beam of ice from his mouth, which penetrated the seeds and hit Budew very hard, sending her flying. Bibarel's tail appeared watery and as he jumped in the air and was aiming to hit Budew.

"Budew, get out of there!" Zach yelled just as Budew managed to get out of the way. "Use Absorb and then Bullet Seed once more!"

Bibarel's health got sapped slightly from Absorb and then Budew gained some strength. This didn't seem to faze Chad too much.

"Before it can fire another Bullet Seed, end this with Iron Tail!" Chad commanded calmly.

Due to still having pretty low energy, it took some time for Budew to get ready for Bullet Seed, so Bibarel's tail changed to a metallic color and slammed into Budew. The attack managed to knock out Budew.

"Ha, now you just lost one Pokémon!" Chad taunted as Zach recalled his fainted Budew.

"This seems like a good spot, don't you think, Chels?" Caroline asked Chelsea, who rolled her eyes, but nodded anyways. Caroline looked at Chelsea angrily. "I wont let you take my little Zachy poo from me!"

"Ha! Zachy bear is mine and I'll prove it with a victory over you. Now bring out your first Pokémon and let's get this battle over with, weakling!" Chelsea taunted, as she stuck out her tongue.

Caroline stuck her tongue out in anger back at her and took a Poké Ball from her belt, threw it into the air and out popped Misdreavus.

Chelsea brought out a Murkrow and began the battle. "Use Sucker Punch,"

Murkrow flew to Misdreavus with such great speed that neither Caroline nor Misdreavus could see it and Misdreavus sustained a lot of damage.

"No fair, I wasn't ready! Now I am though. Misdreavus, use, uh.....Mean Look?" Caroline wasn't the best at battling and didn't have to time to memorize all of Misdreavus' moves.

Unfortunately, Mean Look was absolutely useless because it just meant Chelsea couldn't switch out until Misdreavus was defeated. Caroline sighed and Chelsea facepalmed. Caroline quickly tried to recall her Misdreavus.

"Such ignorance. Murkrow, finish it with Pursuit," Chelsea ordered.

Just as the red light from the Poké Ball was heading to Misdreavus, Murkrow speedily hit it and knocked it out.

"Wow, you're such a meanie, but let's see you beat my starter! Go Chimchar!" Caroline threw another ball in the air as she put away Misdreavus' ball and revealed Chimchar.

"Don't think you've won just yet!" Zach threw another ball in the air and out popped Magby.

The little Fire Type glared at Bibarel and was ready to fight.

Chad laughed. "Really? Using a Fire Type against my Water Type? Don't make me laugh?"

"Oh, you wont be laughing, Chad! Magby, use Mach Punch!" Zach commanded, grinning.

Chad's laugh quickly faded as Magby's fist glowed and he hit Bibarel hard in the stomach with a super effective Mach Punch attack.

"I'm not done yet, either! Follow up with ThunderPunch!" Zach ordered, pointing at the weakened beaver.

Magby's cackled with electricity this time as he charged at Bibarel.

"Bibarel, use Iron Tail on the ground dodge it and then use Water Gun!" Chad quickly yelled, impressed at the strategy he came up with.

Zach & Magby were shocked as Bibarel quickly was brought into the air and then shot a stream of water at Magby.

"Quick,, Magby, counter it with Flamethrower and then finish with a ThunderPunch to the head!" Zach yelled, feeling the intensity of the battle steadily increase.

As the Water & Fire Attacks collided, it created a cloud of smoke that made things hard to see, but Magby was able to sneak up on Bibarel and deliver a powerful ThunderPunch to the head, thus knocking it out.

"Whew! One down, two to go! Great job, Magby!" Zach cheered on his Fire Type, who just gave Zach his first win.

"Don't get so cocky! My next Pokémon will wipe that grin off your face! Buizel, come on out!" Chad yelled.

The sea weasel appeared with fierce determination on his face. Obviously this wasn't going to be easy.

"Ha, no sweat! Magby, use Mach Punch!" Zach ordered.

"Counter that with a high priority move of our own, Aqua Jet!" Chad commanded.

The two attacks collided in a little explosion, which sent Magby skidding backwards. Buizel seemed virtually unfazed.

"Great job, Buizel! Now, use Water Gun and keep it going until they are down!" Chad commanded, ready to finish off Magby.

Buizel nodded and fired a strong Water Gun at Magby. It was much stronger than Bibarel's and really packed a punch. Buizel kept on firing Water Gun non-stop, giving Magby no time to counter. Magby was in a tight spot because he had been blocking Water Gun.

Fortunately, Buizel grew tired and let its guard down. This gave Zach the perfect opportunity. He ordered a combination of Mach Punch & ThunderPunch straight at Buizel. Chad ordered SonicBoom, which its mark, only it did that right as Magby was about to hit Buizel. The force of the explosion sent both Pokémon flying and both were knocked out.

"Chimchar, use Ember on Murkrow!" Caroline commanded. She wasn't going to let Chimchar lose here!

"Dodge and use Peck," Chelsea commanded.

Murkrow skillfully dodged each of the Ember attacks and proceeded to continuously Peck at Chimchar's head. This annoyed Caroline, but greatly humored Chelsea.

"Wow, stop it!" Caroline yelled at her opponent.

Chelsea sighed and recalled her Murkrow. She brought out her star player, Piplup.

"Oh come on!" Caroline screamed. She was at a huge disadvantage.

Chimchar used Ember, which Piplup easily countered with Bubblebeam and managed to knock out Chimchar in one hit!

Caroline looked down in embarrassment as she recalled her Chimchar. She ran back to Zach, as tears quickly flowed down her face. Chelsea followed behind, smiling. She beat Caroline and of course remembered the bet they made before the battle.

Zach & Chad both brought out their starters, Piplup & Turtwig.

Zach sighed and ordered Piplup to use Bubble. Turtwig countered with Razor Leaf, penetrating Piplup hard. It then rammed into Piplup with Tackle. Piplup wasn't going to give up and hits hard with Peck. Turtwig ends this with Bite and slamming Piplup into the ground.

"Wow, well that was a close battle. Thanks, Chad. I'll beat you someday," Zach proclaimed.

Chad shrugged. "It was pretty easy for me since you aren't even a great trainer."

Zach sighed and was initially happy when he saw Caroline running towards him. She ran into his arms and all he could hear were her sobs.

"Caroline, did you lose? Don't worry, it will all be OK, honey," Zach tried to reassure her as he hugged her and gave her a tiny kiss.

"No, it wont be OK! I lost to stupid Chelsea and now I have to travel with even stupider Chad! Zachy poo, I don't want to lose you!" She started crying even harder and buried her head in his chest.

Chelsea came by, but before she could say anything to Zach, he had some things to say to her. "See what you did, Chelsea? You just made Caroline cry because of the stupid bet. I know you are a really nice girl too. Can't you just drop it? Caroline is going to continue traveling with me because that's what we promised to do. Just stick with your other boyfriend, Chad."

"Chad is not my boyfriend. You are, Zachy bear! Just come with me, honey!" Chelsea pleaded as she tried to separate Caroline from Zach.

Zach moved away from Chelsea, still holding onto Caroline. "No. I already told you that I'm traveling with Caroline and that's final."

Before Chelsea could protest, Chad placed a hand on her shoulder and shook his head no. She sighed and then Chad said to Zach and Caroline, "See you around, lovebirds!"

Chelsea blew a kiss to Zach and Chad blew one to Caroline as the two left Sandgem Town.

Zach looked down at Caroline, who was still crying. "They're gone now. You can pick your head up." Caroline picked her head up as Zach wiped away her tears, though her makeup had gotten messed up.

"Do you want to fix your makeup and then we'll head to Jubilife City?" Zach asked.

Caroline nodded and gave Zach a tiny kiss on the lips. Zach blushed at that as he watched his girlfriend head to the restroom.

Moments later, she returned as happy and cheery as before the battles. "Alright, Zachy poo! I'm ready to go, though do you think we should heal our Pokémon first?"

Zach nodded and grabbed her hand as they headed to the Pokémon Center. After healing, they finally left Sandgem Town and quickly made it through Route 202 before reaching the outskirts of Jubilife City. Big skyscrapers was what they saw.

"Wow, so this is where your first contest will be held. Are you ready for it?" Zach asked Caroline.

She gulped and said, "Well, I am pretty nervous, but with you by my side, I'm ready. Let's go, Zachy poo!"

Zach nodded and the two ran into the city, heading for the contest hall.

As Agent K left the Global Trade Station, his Umbreon once again in his possession, he could hear the sounds of a Pokemon battle taking place somewhere nearby. This wasn't unusual to him, it was likely that there were two trainers nearby that wanted to display their skill in battle. Part of him wanted to find the source of the commotion, show off his own skill.

But that was precisely what he was supposed to not do.

He pulled up his sleeve to look at his watch. There was still some time to go before the Jubilife Contest was scheduled to commence. He supposed that Ceres wouldn't mind waiting before they met up. He turned, taking the road north out of Jubilife City on the search for wild Pokemon.

After some time, he reached a dark cave. The darkness wasn't much of a problem for him. His Umbreon's rings would glow in the darkness and would provide enough light for him to see a short distance ahead of him. Every now and then, a Zubat would swoop down at his head but would quickly flee with a sharp bark from his Umbreon. Zubats weren't what he was interested in. But eventually the light that Umbreon emitted caught something peculiar.

"Stop for a second, Umbreon." Agent K said to his Pokemon. It obeyed and stayed in its place as its master took a closer look. It took on such a strange form that he couldn't tell exactly what it was from a distance. It looked like a large, black pea-pod that was growing out of the wall. But as he got closer, it opened its mouth, revealing a row of razor sharp teeth. "Umbreon! Use Quick Attack!"

The Umbreon darted forward suddenly, striking at the black creature and knocking it down from the wall. The creature tumbled and in the light, more of its body was revealed. Much to Kay's relief, the creature he had encountered was a Mawile. It jumped to its feat, turned its back to Umbreon and made a fierce hissing sound with it's psudo-mouth.

Agent K couldn't help but laugh at this situation. He had quickly realised that this Mawile was nothing to fear, but clearly it didn't share that same perception. Amused, he ordered his next attack. "Pay Back." Once again, Umbreon obeyed. It lurched forward, imbued with a strange dark aura and struck the Mawile in the back. To his great surprise, the Mawile still stood. Though he was aware of the fact that Umbreon was disadvantaged in a battle against a Steel type, he had thought that his experience in battle would more than make up for it.

Then the Mawile did something he did not expect. It leapt up, spinning through the air and planted a kiss directly upon Umbreon's forehead. This was an attack he had not seen before, but what really threw him was that it actually seemed to work. As soon as the attack connected, Umbreon shuddered and fell the cave unconscious. Agent K could only look on in astonishment. His Umbreon had just been bested with a kiss. This was indeed a rare and unusual Pokemon.

He had to have it.

"Go, Koffing!" He commanded, calling out the only other Pokemon he had. He left Umbreon unconscious on the cave floor; he still needed the illumination.

The Koffing appeared in a flash of light, floating a few feet from the ground. "Koffing!" The Mawile wasted no time. It jumped up with what Agent K could guess was an Iron Head attack. It struck Koffing dead on, but only succeeded in batting Koffing a few feet higher into the air. "Ko-o-o-o-o-offing!"

He knew now that there was very little Koffing could do in a fight against a Pokemon like Mawile. Poison type attacks weren't going to effect it at all. But this was something he had inconviniently forgotten in his haste to capture this Pokemon. At a complete loss as to what to do next, he didn't have a command to give to Koffing. Fortunately, it seemed, Koffing didn't need one. Acting upon its own accord, Koffing inflated itself slightly before exhaling a strange blue flame. Somehow, this Koffing knew the Will-o-Wisp attack.

The blue flame connected, burning Mawile and inflicting some pain. But apparently it wasn't ready to give up the fight. It jumped into the air again, intending to use Iron Head again. "Smokescreen!" Agent K barked out.

Koffing obeyed at once. It tumbled through the air, dodging Mawile's attack while spilling out a cloud of thick, black smoke over his opponent. Unable to see, all the Mawile could to defend himself now was to stumble blindly through the smoke. Its burn was something it had to contend with as well.

Now was his chance.

Agent K retrieved a Poke Ball and hurled it with all the might he could muster at the weakened Mawile. He couldn't see so well, but he heard the Poke Ball hit something. All he could do was to wait for the smoke to clear. When it did, his Poke Ball lay on the ground. It wasn't moving or flashing. It wasn't doing anything. Nor was there any sign of the Mawile. Had he managed to capture the Pokemon or had it fled? He picked up the Poke Ball, searching for any clue as to the outcome of this capture attempt. It didn't feel any heavier or lighter. There was only one way to be certain.

"Go Mawile?" He commanded with uncertainty, throwing the Poke Ball a few feet away. It bounced off the cave floor and did nothing else. It appeared that the Mawile had escaped. But just as he was going to retrieve the Poke Ball, it suddenly opened and Mawile appeared in a flash of light. It was coughing and badly burned. If it obeyed its new master at all it seemed to do so with a great deal of begrudgement. "Oh. You had me fooled for a second." He said, adressing his new Pokemon. He picked up the Poke Ball. "I'll take you to the Pokemon Centre now. You're no good to me in this condition."

Moments later, Agent K had found his way out of the cave, something that was much more difficult without Umbreon's assistance. Soon, he would be back in Jubilife City.
