So according to Amazon.com, the English version of the manga adaptation of the Dialga and Palkia movie came out over a week ago.

I've checked out the comic shop, Border's, and Barnes and Noble. It's nowhere to be seen. o.o The guy at the comic shop said he would order it, though, so maybe I'll get it next week.
 
I read a little part of it. It follows the plot of the movie, but Dawn looks terrible in it.
 
I've got it. I bought it from Amazon and it came the day it came out! It's great that we finally get the movie mangas here.

I can't wait fore the Manaphy one to come out!

Really Barnes and Noble didn't have it 'cause the one near me I'd say has way too many issues.
 
I got it. There were about four on the shelves where I was--did you guys check the kids section?

Anyway, it's all right, but since I found the source material lacking, I found this lacking as well, even though it wasn't the mangaka's fault.

However, on one page there's a Gible that gives a perfect !!!!!! face and I really need to make an icon out of it.
 
It changes the infamous "everyone's garden" line AGAIN. This time it's "THIS GARDEN IS FOR EVERYONE!!"
 
I bought this yesterday at Borders. I can't believe people are having trouble finding it in stores in the mainland. I live in damn PR, we get everything last. >_>

I guess it only makes sense in the context of bulbagarden chat, where screaming 'THIS IS EVERYONE'S GARDEN!' and variants of it became a popular joke shortly after the sub of the movie came out.

I got it from Borders. Took me two look overs at the manga section to find it. xD It was the last one on the shelf.

I read it today, I liked it. :3 There were a couple differences from the movie, though it pretty much followed the same plotline.
 
I just found it at my local comic shop. I wasn't too fond of the movie, so needless to say I didn't love the comic either. It ended really abruptly...

Ash and Dawn run up the stairs for one page, the fight escalates for two, Oracion plays, and one page later, the gang cries about Darkrai for a panel or two. Then he shows up, and that's it. I mean, the movie ends quickly, but this was a bit worse.

The artwork is interesting, too...and there's this one townsperson next to the awesome Gible Blackjack mentioned that I think looks a lot like Naruto.

It's fairly close to the plot of the movie, but some scenes were removed. Heck, Aipom doesn't appear in a single panel. Buneary gets more "screentime" than her in this book.
 
Just picked it up today. It's... okay. Can't really say I like this guy's art, and there are some serious pacing problems near the end (the beginning of the story does progress a bit faster than the horrendously slow movie, though it ends up eliminating the love triangle subplot and make Alberto a lot less of an asshole, which I'm not too happy with). There are some nice changes, like Dialga and Palkia actually fighting IN the town rather than above it, blowing up buildings (they grow back) and scaring the crap out of everyone, as well as an awesome scene where Gureggru punches away a beam attack to save Alberto, and there is a somewhat logical plot addition where the characters never really accept the fact that Darkrai isn't a bad guy until right before his "death", but just see him as a lesser evil compared to Dialga and Palkia (who do come across as a lot more serious threats in the version - in the movie the main threat was more the void that melted the town away). It's not a bad adaption, and I did like some of the changes, but it's certainly not a must-buy either.

The translation doesn't get the dub-ism quite right, though - there's a pretty direct "Ii kanjiii"-translation near the end that I really doubt we'd hear in the dub, and Meowth says "Meowth" after half his lines, which is just going to cause confusion among the dubbie kids.
 
Hmm, think anyone could upload an English version of this? I've seen the first chapter (Chinese version), but I'd love to be able to fully contrast this manga with the movie. So far it isn't disappointing.
