In according with the official website of Pokémon, the new season of Pokémon XYZ will premiere on 20 February (probably on Cartoon Network).
This is the official logo of the series:

I'm so glad they're keeping the XY&Z title, like the Japanese version does. I can't wait to hear what the new theme will be. XY has been kind of decent when it comes to the dub themes. I was really hoping we wouldn't have to wait until the end of February, though. I've been wanting to see the Litleo episode dubbed for a while now. I can't wait to hear my precious lion cub more clearly.

Actually, the title did change (barely though). It went from XY&Z to XYZ. Like I said, that's barely anything of a change, and I'm sure it was already nicknamed that by fans.

Still another 5 and a half weeks wait!!! Damn!!!

I might move over to following the Japanese version but subbed. To quote the infamous Sweet Brown "Aint nobody got time for that"!

I won't stop you from doing that, but I will tell you to please be careful.

I think that giant Z is a clue tbh and moreover they're really playing up this season eh? The next great series and taking the series into new territory are very bold words

Me neither. It won't be hard to outdo the Japanese opening, but even so, I hope it'll be a great one.
I wouldn't say it has to outdo but create the same feel. XYZ the song works because it's intense and gutsy alot like the older dub openings. I think most of the JP openings bar Spurt, OK, and BF are pretty tame when they don't have to be. The dub just needs a catchy the like Master Quest.

Yeah we need something catchy like Master Quest or Unbeatable even. We're coming up against Wulfric soon. We have a confrontation with Team Flare coming up. Last but not least,we're nearly ready for the Kalos League. We need something that will get us pumped up for the climax of the series.

I know that you don't like the Japanese version and that's fine, but you don't have to warn people like that. It isn't dangerous to watch the Japanese version to the point where you have to tell people to be careful. That's nothing but an extreme overreaction and I don't want this issue you have with the Japanese version to get out of hand again, so don't act like this again in the future. Watching the Japanese version isn't dangerous and I'd have the same reaction if people said to be careful when watching the dub.

Anyway, I'm genuinely surprised that they are changing the title. I thought that they'd just bring back the season subtitle since they never changed BW's title in the dub despite all of the title changes it had in the Japanese version. I still consider this more of a new season/arc rather than a new series, if only because you can't really jump into it without watching the first half of the series. It isn't a standalone series. Maybe by the time the dub starts, there will be some kind of announcement for the new game/games, but I also thought that would happen during October. I just hope that Cartoon Network doesn't start the new season at 7AM. They're currently airing reruns in that slot, but I hope that isn't the case for when the season premieres next month.

I just wonder what TPCI will call Puni-chan...o_O

Will they go with the translation of "Squishy"? Perhaps "Puny" (or "Puny-(something)") could work. Maybe a whole new nickname all together knowing their bizarre renaming habits???

Though day-um that's late!

That's almost 2 months since the last episode (longer if you don't count Mega-Evolution Special Act 4). I don't think we've had a gap that big since, when, the WB days?
(though to be fair, they started the winter break later than usual)

Mind you, I wouldn't mind. Just seems surprising since the gaps between seasons have felt kind of short in recent years

I was wondering that for months, and I have been wondering how they're going to handle Puny-chan's voice when it uses telepathy in the dreaming episode and the episode that aired in Japan on Christmas eve. Did Puny-chan keep it's voice in the dub of Mega Evolution IV? I don't know since I don't really watch the dub much anymore and watch it in Japanese with subtitles.

Yes. I'm praying that they won't give Puni-Chan a bad voice for the dream episode. Also, if anything, Squishy sounds simple enough for TPCI. Plus, it is pointed out in XY093 that it IS squishy.

Man, 2 MONTHS? Welp, guess I'm sticking to the subs. By the time they air XYZ on CN, chances are Serena's Eevee will end up evolving.

By the way, I should also mention that I like the new logo, too. The Y and Z connect perfectly.

While two months is a longer break than I think we've had for quite some time, I'm pretty sure the breaks for the 4Kids era were longer and we were a year or more behind the Japanese version back then as well. Two months isn't too bad all things considered. I wouldn't be surprised if they wanted to wait that long because they wanted the new season to start close to February 27th and hype up the franchise's 20th anniversary.

That's right, I'm just looking through the episode list on Bulbapedia and found that 4Kids took a 4 month break from May 1, 1999 to September 18, 1999, another 4 month break one year later, they took another 4 month break from September 25, 2002 to January 4, 2003, and 4Kid's longest break was 8 months long and it was lasting from March 15, 2003 to November 15, 2003. So just be happy that those who follow the dub only had to wait at most 2 months when Cartoon Network takes a break and not have to wait 3-8 months like what 4Kids did in the past. Back in the 4Kids era, the dub episodes were always a year behind the Japanese, unlike now the dub is only 11/2 to 3 months behind. Keep in mind, the 4 episode long Lugia arc started in Japan on October 18, 2001 and the arc aired by 4Kids in the US aired on November 23, 2003. Between those two airings, that is a 401 day difference and that is a long 13 month wait. The ongoing Zygarde arc started on October 29, 2015 in Japan and it's going to start in the US on February 20, 2016. So just be happy the wait is only 114 days long and that's less then 4 months instead a 13 month long wait like what happened to the Lugia arc.

I'm sure that there's countries that have to ether wait much longer for the Pokemon anime episodes or don't even get them at all. So just be happy that they at least get aired outside of Japan.
