3 more years? Yes.

I think it will last for a long time too come.

Yeah, seriously. Three years is like, nothing. This generation will be winding down, and will have implemented itself well into the Pokemon universe, and people will be bitching about the 2 new Pokemon that will be revealed three years from this day.

It's going to last until December 2012.

...

(Let's see who gets it.)

Also, post number 666. Oh, irony.

Nope, it ends because of a comet and/or the anti-christ. That or we enter an age of enlightment and all become psychically connected...

Huh, and here I thought the reason it's gonna end was because of earthquakes.

Pokémon will probably be around until Nintendo itself ends. Whether that's with or without the help of doomsday. After all, it's become as ingrained in Nintendo as Mario or Zelda, and Zelda's 20th is next year.

So, I'm looking forward to a Water/Fire Pokémon for Gen V. Maybe a Psychic/Fire. Hm... Actually, what type combos DON'T we yet have with the 493?

Who's up for a burning bush legendary in the next generation.

That doesn't look right. :/

When we get up to 1000 Pokemon, that's when we can look back at the old RBY days and say:

"Son, back in my day we didn't have these thousands of Pokemon with crazy evolutions and so forth. We only had 150 Pokemon to tinker around with! Maybe 151, but that was only if you were a real lucky boy."

Wikipedia said:
Many mistakenly believe that the Maya civilization's long count calendar ends abruptly on 21 December (or 23 December) 2012. This misconception is due to the Maya practice of abbreviating their dates to five decimal places. On monuments where the full date is shown the end of the last creation is said to happen much farther in the future. However, the Mayas did believe that there will be a baktun ending in 2012. A baktun marks the end of a 400 year period and was a significant event on the Maya calendar. In the Aztec calendar, 2012 marks the end of a 26,000 year planetary cycle.

Yes, Pokemon will last for three more years, if not more.

Looking at sales of DP, I'm sure we'll get Generation V, if that's what you're asking.

Honestly, Mario's made it 23 years, I don't see why Pokemon couldn't follow suit.

Of course, everyone is freaking out saying "OMIGOD! GAMEFREAK IS OUT OF IDEAS" like every gen...

Actually, 2006 marked Mario's 25th, because he appeared in 1981's Donkey Kong.

Pokémon'll be dead by 2015. I can assure you.

Oh, great future-seeing Xatu XD375, would you be considerate enough to let me know of this week's lottery numbers?

Errr....why exactly?

Because Gamefreak HAS been out of ideas since G/S/C...
Get the Torches....
