In the trailers, I think it gives hints on what pokemon may be exclusive. Also I thought it would be nice to have a place where confirmed exclusives can be talked about.

Mascots are version exclusive. Solrock and Lunatone maybe. Perhaps Sun stones and moon stones with pokemon that evolve with those items become version exclusive.

I can maybe see Yungoos and Gumshoos, and A-Rattata and Faticate as version exclusives.

Tbh I feel they're more likely to be Day/Night exclusive but version exclusive wouldn't be surprising.

Please no, making any item version exclusive is dumb in most occasions and actually limiting a resource such as evolutionary stones is probably one of the dumbest items to do this to. It blocks players playing one game evolving Pokémon they may find in their version.

I say they keep the versions exclusives to Pokemon. Anything else would just be a poor move on their part.

Well @Arceus the Dragon did say that the pokemon that evolved via sun and moon stones would also be exclusive to their respective games.

It's not like evolutionary stones are held items, or even potions or something along those lines, so I don't think there's any "missed" gameplay if you just play one version. I don't think restricting stones per version would be necessary really, if the pokemon they evolve are also version-locked, but I don't see how it'd be in any way detrimental either.

Or they could, say, have Nidorina exclusive to Sun but the Moon Stone exclusive to Moon to encourage trading or w/e which... might be messier.
