Hello All,

I haven't noticed a VGC thread anywhere, and I hope this is the correct posting place. Anyway the Winter VGC regionals are approaching! Does anyone plan on going? I can't go in the winter, but I should be there in the Spring. If you've never heard of it, you can find out more at Video Game Championship Series | Pokemon.com As you may see they have no events planned for Winter yet, this is not the case as they do, but are waiting on releasing them to better focus on BW2, and Pokedex 3D pro. I happen to have the places for all of them where the source is Nugget Bridge - Premier Competitive Pokémon VGC Community So, without further ado, here are the event locations. - Jan. 20th 2013

These are just the locations, it starts different for the different time zones, but it's safe to get there about 9:00am in each respective time zone. There are usually TCG ones held in the same venue the day before also.

Salem, OR

St. Charles, MI

Richmond, VA

Southern CA

Lake Buena Vista, FL

Do any of you plan on attending?

This sucks. The closest one to me is more than 700 miles away. What's their problem with Nashville? I went when it was there and the turnout was bigger than Athens last year or Atlanta in '11. I guess I'll have to wait until the spring again. I was hoping with 3 different regionals one would be close enough to actually make it to.

I'll post one here in March when there getting close, sorry that you can't make any of them. They are really fun, and give out great prizes. Hope you can make a Spring Regional!

I'm still patiently waiting for the European dates to be announced (I imagine they will be around May-June 2013). Apparently, they're changing the way the EU events are conducted. Before, it was simply a national qualifier that led to Worlds invitations, but now we've been told that TPCi are adding in an extra 2 tournaments.

I imagine now that national qualifiers will lead to an invitation to a European qualifier tournament (where Worlds invites will be won), but that extra tournament? No idea. The European qualifying tournaments don't get enough people to justify regionals (the only time the UK went over the cap was in 2009, by 4 and in 2010).

Same here waiting for European dates and regulations. Please be in London this year.

Anybody got teams sorted yet?

id probably go to florida, but im all the way in new jersey, so i might have to work my way around. im so gonna try and win this time. last year i tried to show off in a battle using a shiny Garbodor, and all it did was poison a Jellicent :(

I'm also waiting for the European dates to be announced. I think they will be in March and April like last year. I think the VGC Qualifier in the UK is always in the Birmingham NEC because Birmingham is in the middle of the UK (the midlands) so it is one of the easiest places to go to from anywhere in the UK. In all 6 of the train stations I use the most, which are York, Cardiff, Carlisle, Durham, Newcastle and Penrith, and the ones which I use less often, which are Watford Junction, London Euston, Bristol Parkway, Bristol Temple Meads, Leeds and Sheffield, there are frequent direct trains to Birmingham New Street. On the day of the 2012 VGC UK Qualifier I took the train from York to Birmingham New Street at 6:00am and still got to compete. @Takaki; If you live in London the earliest train to Birmingham International is from London Euston at 6:23am. Also by the amount of train stations I use you can see how I have 843 StreetPass Hits and a Plaza Population of 857 Miis in StreetPass Mii Plaza on my 3DS :)

I have no idea how Euro events are conducted as I live in the United States. I guess I could go to Pokemon.com/uk but I think I heard that the extra tourney's were nationals, but I am not sure. The events on the East Coast of the United States are the hardest, and that's where I live. I'm probably going to have to go more inland to get a much higher chance at first.

I will update this thread when VGC'13 rules are announced, they sure are taking a while. They'd better upload them soon though, because Winter'13 regs are about a month and a half away.

Apologies for triple posting, but the rules have been announced!
