This just in: Coronis has recieved Wonderland Volume 9, and we already know it continues Emerald's saga in the Battle Frontier, so read no further if you don't like spoilers.

So, Gold finally appears, apparently. Now, if Crys left Birch's Lab for the BF, we might have all the Dex holders together (With the exception of any that haven't appeared yet, a.k.a. Berlitz & co.)!

And Guile Hideout, without armor covering his face, looks suspisciously like
Archie. And Spenser commented on Sapphire having once absorbed the Blue Orb. And "Guile" says the Battle Frontier will sink. Kyogre, here we come!

Discuss, I'll add more later when Coronis reveals more.

EDIT: Ah-ha!

Coronis said:
So, previously on the Emerald series. Guile Hideout managed to capture Jirachi at the rooftop of the Battle Dome, and unleashed the Factory rental Pokemon on the press people, forcing Tucker, Lucy, Greta and Brandon to leave him alone and protect the people instead. Emerald left Sceptile, Sudowoodo and Dusclops at the Battle Palace for the challenge, while he himself, together with Ruby and Sapphire rush over to the top floor of the Battle Tower, where Guile is heading.

In this chapter, Lucy, Greta, Brandon and Tucker continue to fight down the huge number of Factory rentals while Noland attempts to contact Anabel who has left with Scott in the middle of the Battle Dome challenge, but for some reason, she's not answering.

Sceptile, Sudowoodo and Dusclops start their Palace challenge under Spenser's supervision, and you can see that they're smart enough to go against an opponent they have an advantage over.

At the Frontier accomodations, Todd and Latias hear the fuzz going on outside, and Latias quickly reverts back to her original form, then takes Todd to the Battle Palace, meeting up with Latios half way.

Meanwhile, Noland catches Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald right in front of the Battle Tower, and Ruby and Sapphire get to introduce themselves. Emerald isn't too happy when they call themselves the Hoenn Pokedex Trio, so Sapphire suggests that they call themselves the Conquer Trio, since Ruby conquered all contests, she conquered all gyms, and Emerald plans to conquer all Frontier facilities. Obviously, Emerald's natural reaction to their enthusiasm is a sweatdrop.

The Factory rentals soon extend their territory to where RSE and Noland are as well, and Ruby and Sapphire quickly defend themselves. With his Pokemon all at the Palace, Emerald obtained Noland's permission, then used his E-shooter (the soil gun) to calm down 4 Pokemon and befriend them for temporary use.

After getting into the Tower successfully and locking the other rentals outside, Noland lets Emerald use the Snorlax, Mr. Mime and Mantine he tamed for now, while he himself uses the Mawile Emerald calmed. Oh, and before you ask why the writers are giving Emerald repeat Pokemon of other main characters, see if you can spot why the writers chose these three specifically.

Guile Hideout sees his intruders enter from the Tower's monitor room, and when Jirachi still fails to fulfill his wishes, he knows there's a missing link. RSE and Noland find that the lift has broken down, and when they take the stairs, they find virtual trainers popping up to challenge them, and soon realize they're almost doing a formal Battle Tower challenge. What's note worthy here is we finally see Gulpin featured, the only third generation Pokemon that hasn't appeared so far.

Anyway, to the horror of RSE and Noland, Anabel appears before them but wears an empty look, clearly under the possession of Guile Hideout. Noland quickly realizes something, and calls Scott to discover that the chubby man has never met Anabel at all that day, and the 'Scott' which Anabel departed with at the Battle Dome was actually a mirage created by one of the rentals under Guile's control. So, our dear Frontier Brain leader is 'brainwashed' and controlled.

And thus, RSE and Noland have no choice but to do the 70-floor Tower challenge, but they do it in a rotatory fashion such that they challenge it at the same time. When one person is fighting the virtual trainer, the other three proceed on, and take on the virtual trainer of the next floor.

Ruby and Sapphire soon make it to the top floor, and discover that there is a huge display room with maps and ship models of all regions. To their surprise, they even find a corner dedicated to the Pokedex Holders, and find very detailed information on them. It seems Ruby and Sapphire have not had their bios documented in yet, and Sapphire wonders if they will one day be in the list too. There are actually several statues at that corner as well, and Ruby and Sapphire marvel at how complete the collection is (of course, they have no idea that the statues are really the holders themselves).

They soon hear a bang next doors, and go into the next room to discover that Emerald has actually made it to the top before them, and has been fighting Anabel's Raikou. Yet, Emerald's team is completely owned, and Anabel orders Raikou to keep attacking Emerald mercilessly, but Emerald refuses help from Ruby since he treats it as his official Tower challenge.

Ruby remembers the weird words Spenser says, about Sapphire being his old-companion, and something about the Blue Orb. But then Emerald gets thrown across the room, and just when he is about to give up, Latios appears and delivers his Sceptile, Sudowoodo and Dusclops back to him, bringing the Spirit Symbol as well, clearly indicating the three Pokemon have successfully beaten Spenser's team for him.

At that moment, Anabel collapses, and Guile Hideout appears, cursing at how weak Anabel's body is. Ruby and Sapphire start to wonder if Guile is simply Spenser, but then Latios says they shouldn't badmouth good people, and using his psychic connection with Latias, acts like a real time telecast for Spenser at the Palace where Latias and Todd are.

Spenser decides to reveal his story, and apparently he is good friends with the old couple atop Mt. Pyre. Long ago, he visted them one day, and although he's been told not to touch the Red and Blue Orbs sitting in the stalactite pillars there, he succumbed to temptation at the end, and touched the Blue Orb when the old couple went out.

But that touch caused the powers of the Blue Orb to surge through his arms, forming the permanent tattoos on his shoulders. From that day on, every night he would dream about a giant sea monster, and his eyes soon develop a dull light that never goes away. It is only many years later that he realized the sea monster was the Hoenn titan Kyogre.

The fact that he gave into his temptation also drove him to train up his mind, which was why he has now become the Brain emphasizing the spirit. Yet, one thing he has discovered about this incident is that, the dull light in one's eyes which develops after being in contact with the Blue Orb is permanent, which is why he knew Sapphire has had contact with it right away simply by looking into her eyes.

But the more important thing is, he has seen the same dull light in Guile Hideout's eyes, clearly indicating he has had contact with the Blue Orb at one time.

At that moment, Guile Hideout decides there is no recent to keep it a secret either, and removes his helmet to reveal himself to be no other than the Team Aqua leader, Archie. Apparently after being possessed by Kyogre during the big battle at Sootopolis, it just made him even more convinced that the power of the sea is endless, and there is nothing more he wants but to drown the whole world in it and be the ruler of it.

Ruby and Sapphire are startled that he wishes to awaken Kyogre again, but Archie claims there is no need for the titan anymore, for Jirachi alone can fulfill the wish.

Noland arrives at the moment, and Archie suddenly strangles Anabel, threatening to kill her unless Noland hands him the Jirachi report which they have discovered the secrets about the Pokemon. Noland is caught up in the dilemma between saving his friend and giving up the precious information, but Archie ambushed him and snatched the report anyway.

Knowing about the third eye, Archie makes his wish, and manifests as Star Symbols (remember this same language Misty's Starmie wrote in the Yellow saga?) on one of Jirachi's wish tags. Instantly, a giant sea monster in the shape of Kyogre looms over the Battle Frontier, and floods into the Frontier like a big tsunami. (a counterpart to the six movie's fake Groudon?)

Guile laughs, but then hurriedly puts on his helmet again all of a sudden before he leaves the room. Ruby notices this, and wonders why he is still wearing the armour if his identity has been revealed anyway. It seems like hiding his identity isn't the reason for the armour in the first place, and Ruby wonders what it could be.

As 'Kyogre' washes through the Frontier, Latios takes Anabel and Noland to a safe place while RSE try to find a way to escape. Guile Hideout suddenly appears again, but appears to act really odd this time. The security system at the Tower activates due to the tsunami, and Emerald gets clamped at the gate while they try to get back to the display room. To RSE's surprise, Guile helps and rescues Emerald.

Another Guile Hideout then appears, and apparently this odd armoured man who helped Emerald isn't the real one. Guile angrily slashes open this impresonator's armour, and it turns out to be no other than our old friend, Gold, who calls upon Crys and says he has changed his mind about the plan again.

Crys appears with an angry look, and it turns out that Gold wanted to disguise as Guile Hideout as a strategy, which Crys opposed to, but at the end agreed. She blames him for changing his mind all the time, and says the armour has been costly to make.

Emerald is surprised to see Crys, and Gold has apparently heard about RSE, calling Ruby 'the guy who likes to dress up', Sapphire 'the wild girl', and Emerald 'the unorthodoxed kid with funky croissant hair'.

Ruby and Sapphire recognize Gold and Crys from the Dex Holders document they read earlier, and Sapphire in particular, is maniacally excited about meeting her seniors. She wonders if the 5 other seniors will be joining them as well, and Gold and Crys bitterly claim that they are actually there to resuce their seniors, and that there are actually all there already. RSE are clearly baffled by what they hear.

Guile (Archie) gets impatient with them and starts attacking, but Gold calls out his Aipom and Typhlosion, where Aipom uses Gold's billiard cue to fan Typhlosion's fire attack, managing to send Archie crashing to the other side of the room, much to the man's shock.

Stealing a look at the 5 statues, Gold remarks that there are two more wish tags on Jirachi, allowing two more wishes to be made, then reaches into his pocket for several metal rings. After attaching one to the wrist of 'Silver', he places the other three on his billiard cue, and claims the 'feast to about to begin', ending this 64 page chapter.

These metal rings are most the ultimate attack rings of Brinca. Seeing how Gold gives one to Silver, and still holds three more, it's safe to assume that Gold and Crys have learnt theirs, while the three free ones are intended for Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald.

So, here ends what the writers call Part 2 of the Emerald series. Part 3 (and beyond) is said to be on the next Pokemon Wonderland, which there is no release date yet.

So, all 10 Pokedex holders in one room, 5 petrified, 5 alive. The mystery now perhaps pertains to why Archie is still wearing his armour even when his identity has been revealed. Before you ask, no mentioning of Maxie or other TM/TA personnel. No Oak, Brinca, Lorelei, Bill or any other old characters either.

At the very end, there's a short Q&A section, where the writer confirms that the Emerald series has reached its climax battle, and that the Jirachi-created 'Kyogre' is no weaker than the real one. They also promise a happy ending for this series.

Gold is awesomeness and nothing anyone says will change it.

So we have a Fake Groudon in movie 6, a fake Kyogre in the Emerald arc of the manga, and a fake Rayquaza in an upcoming episode in Japan (DP043, I believe?) Hooray for the fake Hoenn trio.

So, comments mebbe?

Yes. Gold is Awesome. And calling Emerald the dude with croissant hair makes him even more awesome than before.

...Yet he doesn't remark on how his eyebrows make him look like an insect...?

He got the synopsis from serebii forums. If you want to see pics, go to the forums.

If I'm rigth, Wonderland its a magazine where some manga and anime (I don't know) is shown before. I want to know how this finishes, I can't wait!!

So can we consider this as their equivalent to the titles Professor Oak gave to the senior Pokédex holders at the end of the GSC arc?
