I don't know if this has been mentioned in another thread yet or if there is a thread for this to be discussed, since I have been unable to find such a thread.

However I was looking at various parts of the English Pokémon X and Y website and their appears to be links to Black and White.

I was wondering if anyone else had noticed these or any other possible links to Black and White, and what you think it could mean.

There was black and white colouring in the background of the main page and on the character page it says about the colour of the glasses on the trainers' heads. They were the things I noticed. I tried looking at both of the region maps as well to see if there was anywhere they could be linked. The bridge sort of thing in Kalos on the left could be something like the subway in Unova or maybe the rivers at the bottom link to the two that flow from the top of Unova.

I actually really love this idea. Since we're assuming Kalos is far away from Unova, due to the route numbers restarting, it would have to take quite a while for the train to reach Unova. Maybe a minute in-game? Yeah, you could be forced to wait in the train and explore it. The train would be much more magnificent than a normal strain; it would be higher than high class.

The black and white coloring probably doesn't mean much- they're bold, contrasting colors, so them being used again in connection to paired versions isn't surprising. It's like how they've used red and blue like three or four times now in various forms.

When I saw the title of this thread I assumed something along the lines of this:

Might have been posted in another thread here, but basically the image suggests that we might be able to take a train from Anville in Unova to somewhere in Kalos. I doubt it, but a cool idea nonetheless.

There was also another image posted somewhere (possibly Reddit) suggesting that lower-Kalos might be directly connected to upper-Unova. Again, I doubt it - but a cool idea nonetheless.

I know there were Unova Pokémon in some of the XY trailers, including a statue with a Golurk and Palpitoad. (then again, there's also a Roselia statue, so there probably is no rhyme or reason for older gen Pokémon statues to be around Kalos)

The train tracks are probably a reference to how Europe has a lot of railroad infrastructure (just like the NYC area).

Yes, it's possibly reddit. They've been posting lots and lots of threads about Unova connecting to Kalos. And i think it's possible, or i would just simply want it to happen.

I do find it odd the site even mentions the sunglasses color..."Here's how you'll look when you're a boy, and here's how you'll look when you're a girl. Note the difference in the color of sunglasses!"

Like whaaa? Why would that be so important to point out when they aren't even the same style of sunglasses >_>

I can see X and Y referencing some things from BW and some characters from the Unova region might make some cameos. But to travel back to Unova? Probably not.

This seems to be similar to the Unova = new age Kanto while Kalos = new age Johto idea, at least it appears that way to me. The problem though is that we've already been to Unova twice, I don't think theres much to be done unless they expanded it much more than they did in BW2.

If they brought back Unova for a third time and still failed to complete the mysteries (Original Dragon & back story, Abyssal Ruins, BW protagonist) then they might as well forget it. I'd only support a third and final trip to Unova (post game) if it had a FULL complete fantastic plot dedicated to it, and not just gaining 16 badges to battle whomever up top a mountain.

Overall, I'm not really counting on it. Kalos is more than likely going to stand alone. If there are ties to Unova, then it will probably be character cameos and battles that we'll get similar to Cynthia's appearance in Undella Bay.

I probably should have said this in my first post - but it was ~2.30am and I was tired - that I DON'T want to re-visit Unova in X and Y. The region is a alright (not great) but El_ pretty much explained perfectly why re-visiting Unova isn't a good idea:
