Pretty straight forward.

Which Pokémon you don't want to see being caught by a main character?

Mine was already realized a couple seasons back. Ash + Aipom = NO-GO D<

I wanted to nuke that little thing...

There a lot that I don't really want to see a main character to catch. I have no desire to see Hypo, Voltorb, Tangela, or Oddish on any kind of a regular basis.

Arceus (For obvious reasons of being both Giant and Overpowered), though it'd probably be funny...

no, let Ash Catch 'em... or better yet Brock, that'd be hilarious!

...No, Dawn! And she should get Mewtwo and Deoxys as well to be used exclusively for Super Contests, it'd be hilarious and get all the kids (and die hard fans for that matter) riled up!

Outside of Ash, Dawn and TR, it never matters to me what anyone else captured. I was never interested in Misty, Tracey or Brock's Pokemon because we never saw them do anything beyond appearances in fillers and the occasional TR battle.

As for Ash however, I do wish he never got Turtwig. He has enough grass types and I would have rathered something new.

With Ash I could easily see him with any Pokemon (except Pokemon like Goldeen, Finneon, so on and so forth, and obvious Pokemon like Moltress, Areceus). For other characters Brock, Dawn, Team Rocket I'm sure the list decreases, but there still are a lot of choices.

I didn't want Ash to get Turtwig. He should've gone to Brock, if anyone.
I didn't want Dawn to get Aipom. She should've stuck with Ash.
I didn't want Dawn to get Buizel. He should've gone straight to Ash.

I don't want to see Ash catch a Riolu. I have no idea why people thought it'd be such a good idea. So Ash has a strong aura or whatever, so what? Too many people in the anime already have Lucario, I don't think Ash needs one too.

I also don't want James to catch a Tangela or Tangrowth for whatever reason. I don't really like those Pokemon, and if he gets one you just KNOW it'll be Carnivine's time to go. Screw that.

And no legendaries, obviously.

They're not gonna replace a 4th gen pokemon with another one... he could have both and no one would be going anywhere.

Ash should've caught a Gligar back in Johto. Dawn's Pokemon look really lopsided if you look at it, from one end of the spectrum to the other. Did they really screw this up? Ambipom did balance it out for her. So terrible.

It would be a pretty pointless exercise in the first place. They'd serve an identical purpose of being the main battler/abuser of Kojiro. Apart from the fact that Sabonea was a Gen 3 Poke, that was in essence why they got rid of it. With Masukippa, it served no useful purpose.

Hikari really doesn't need any more cute pokes.

I actually don't want to see Dawn with a 2nd gen starter. Not as in I don't think 2nd gen is coming back, it's just that I feel it'll be another one of those pokémon Dawn'll catch that will never become much of a powerhouse. (Honestly, I'm just tired of the little "OMG that little pokémon beat a big pokémon! How awesome!")

In Ash's case, I can't think of a pokémon he wouldn't look good with. Torkoal and Glalie were quite surprising in Hoenn, and I thought that he used them pretty well, and understood their personalities.

I don't want to see James with a Tangrowth. Please no.

I'm so happy Dawn didn't get a Cherubi. I remember when DP started people continually said she would get one, and I'm pretty damn happy it didn't happen.

Now you see people saying Dawn should get a Leafeon just 'cause May got Glaceon...but I seriously doubt that will happen anyway.

I don't want to see Jessie catch another Snake. I get the feeling that Seviper's clock is ticking and if it was to be replaced, hopefully it's not by another Poison-type.

I can see why you might not want another snake, but not another poison type? Musashi is the poison queen! She's gotta have at least 1 poison poke, even if it isn't a snake!

Well I'm guessing they started out by giving her the cute Pokemon, but they've done it differently to how they did with May which was interesting. We got to see two main character's trade and that hasn't been done before, secondly Ambipom's ball is still in Dawn's possession so its gonna come back, not any time soon, not the grand festival. I think they got rid of Ambipom for now so that they can eventually (or hopefully soon) have Buneary finally evolve and become a powerhouse of Dawn's team. I mean if she had two normal types fully evolved while Piplup is still at the start and Pachirisu is well just Pachirisu, it'd be a bit weird wouldn't it? No I say we finally get a Lopunny, Dawn gets a Gen 2 starter, which hopefully one day evolves to be big Typhlosion or Meganium (doubt it'll be Feraligatr) though if they did something with Ash's Totodile and we get a Feraligatr in the end, maybe this will inspire Piplup to evolve.

Anyway I see I've veered off the thread's topic, I dont wanna see another Eevee evo, plain and simple.

I want some new types. They keep using the same couple of types over and over. Okay, I understand that some types are reserved for "evil" guys. Ghost, Dark, Poison...for some reason even Psychic. But would it really kill Ash or Brock to get a Steel Pokémon?(Though PLEASE not Lucario.) Maybe most of them are too ugly and scary, but some could be okay. Like...a Wormadam in Trash Cloak? I'm not saying I like that, it's weird, but it's not too out of place compared to the other Pokémon on the team.

I'm really tired of Grass, it's so overused and it's not even that good as a type.
