Pokémon you think get too much attention?

Meowscarada.
Don't get me wrong, I like the "masquerading magician who seems to be slightly yandere" idea. but how many people like them because they are standing up like a humanoid disgusts me. Cats are good as cats, you don't have to make them stand up. The design feels almost like a try hard to impress the furry lovers, "oh you want a humanoid pokemon that loves you? we will give you exactly that", and they fell for it!
I am not against pokemon furry, I am not saying that all cat pokemons must not stand up. It is just that the Meowscarada fans seem to like them not because they look like cats, but because they look like human, well why don't you go play pokeman then? I like Meowscarada, I just don't like the fans.

Seems like that GF likes them a lot and there are people thinking Toxels are cute or so, sorry I just don't get it.

One of the most popular pokemons when the anime series was featuring them. I think frog ninjas are cool, it is just that they are not cooler than fire-breathing dragons or totems from some lost ancient civilization.
 
Gardevoir, Charizard, Gengar, and Lucario.

Actually I'll explain a bit. Z-A propaganda practically pretended these were the only Pokémon in existence worth acknowledging.
 
  • Diglett: The joke can become tiring, you know? Specially when both its regional form and convergent are subpar.
  • Dragonite: I know it's the first pseudo but feels overexposed in recent years, specially in the anime.
  • Goodra: I love Goomy but why is it present in every game? And it's always hard to find and to evolve.
  • Greedent: Appears in tons of promotional art, minigames and it's even the first regional rodent (since Rattata) to be present in the following Gen Regional Dex's Pokedex. That made it my most hated Pokemon.
  • Applin: Alternate evolutions, Gigamax and another Alternate evolution the following gen? Not even Eevee got all that. Someone up there must really love it.
 
I wanna preface this by saying I don't dislike this line. But I think Salazzle has someone's favorite Pokemon at Creatures, because it certainly got a lot of cards in PTCGP this year lol. It kind of astounds me because I didn't think it was that popular (super cool typing though I'll say.)

Admittedly I think the Yusuke Kozaki designed Pokemon (Falinks and aformentioned Toxel) get a lot of attenion. But for me that's okay because I dig 'em a lot lol.
 
Charizard and pretty much any Gen I Pokemon. I hate that GameFreak and TPC have gone all-out in promoting them over the vast majority of non-Gen I Pokemon for the past decade and a half at least. I miss when I felt nostalgic about them instead of irritated about seeing them everywhere again. =(
 
All of the Eeveelutions, from Vaporeon to Sylveon.

They are overmarketed Pokémon yet Game Freak devs never wanted to do with them.

These roles should be given to both Raichu forms instead. (Yes I like Raichu more than Eeveelutions.)
