Lucas has a new name and its plato? I can get used to the greek thing going on in platinum. First charon and now Plato. What next!

The article is wrong. Plato is just a default name. There is no name change. >_>

I can't wait till it gets released in the U.K. Thanks for keeping us updated with Bulbanews. :)

So, the "version" name for the character is Plato (in Japanese version it was プラット "Plat"). Saw that coming. Really!

It is not really the first time when the "version" name for main character differs from the game title. Crystal had names Chris (for boy) and Crys (for girl). Also, in the Japanese version there was an optional name "Rald" for Brendan (English version doesn't reflect it) and in the Japanese version the optional name in Diamond Version is "Dia" (Daiya) because "Diamond" (Daiyamondo) would not fit 5 characters limit. In English version, however, the character limit is 7 and "Diamond" fits it perfectly.

I wonder what will be the optional name for a girl. Platina? Plata? Hmm...

Plati! Seriosuly though platina should be it.

I checked out the website and was sad to learn that Handsome will officially be called Looker in the American version of Platinum :-(

We've already knew it. From TCG. You live in a different world (Distortion World, maybe :p), or what? That's old news!

There is still no ultimate confirmation of Charon, even though it's kind of confirmed already. So, unless they make a last-minute change, then we'll have Charon. I can't wait for revealing Frontier Brain names, though. But expect them to reveal them after the release of the game.

The web site is misleading: It mentions that you can trade and battle in the Wi-Fi Plaza. If that were true, we would finally have random Wi-Fi battles and the mini-games would definitely take a backseat as the Wi-Fi Plaza's main attraction. Needless to say, that isn't really the case in the Japanese version, and I highly doubt the English version has additional gameplay content.

That said, the mini-games are also accessible from the Wi-Fi Club, which means that you can play them with your friends as opposed to just random players.
