Ever since the announcement of Monster XX being a Cross-Platform between 3DS and Switch, it means you can cross-play with your friend between 3ds and Switch online only. What does this mean for Pokemon? The fans are still speculating on the rumored Pokemon "Stars", whether it's a third game to Sun/Moon or a Pokemon game with a different story (Sinnoh Remake, Kanto/Johto Sequel, etc). The most important part of this, because thr fans are speculating on what system the game will be on. N3DS/N2DS XL, Switch, or both?
The fans are speculating that the pokemon game will be on Switch, because GF are hiring programmers who have experience with Wii U and PS Vita, also Motion Designer and 3D Character Modelers from two months ago. The fans wanted to experience a pokemon game on HD. Switch is a Handheld/Console, GF are use to a Main Series on Handheld, but it will be the first on console.
The fans are also speculating that the pokemon will be on 3DS, because another hiring from GF are looking for 3D programmers. It would make since, because Sun/Moon did started out on 3DS, and it would be fair to the fans to sink extra money for a new system, eventhough the 3DS is six years old. But the question is, why are GF hiring 3D programmers late?
With both of those rumor and speculation are out, GF looking for programmers who have experience with 3DS and Switch, which means TPCi and GF are planning a cross-platform for pokemon 3DS and Switch?! If they do this, then it'll be the first time GF ever done, Which will excite the 3DS and Switch fans.
Will the GF finish the game on time? If they're developing game for both system then I'm expecting them to release it in early 2018.
Will Pokemon game be presented at the E3 conference with the official without any announcement? It would be the first to announce a pokemon at E3, but I'm not sure, we do have two weeks left, we'll just have to find out.
The main question is, If they do a cross-platform for pokemon for the first time will they do it for future games, maybe spin-off games also? Or Will they do it for 3DS or Switch Exclusive?
Since we got two weeks left, it's not to late to keep speculating
