If any pokemon were Harry Potter characters, who would be Harry, Ron, and Hermione?

My sister and I came up with the following:

Harry Potter- Ash's Pikachu
Ron Weasely- Ash's Bulbasaur
Hermione Granger- Tracey's Marill

I think Ash's Bulbasaur is a bit too fearless to be Ron, but someone else's Bulbasaur who whimpers, and is afraid of spiders... that would work. XD

Gligar = Draco. Doesn't have to be anyone's Gligar in particular... I just think Gligar in general looks like a jerk. XD

This is a hard thing to crossover. I will only agree with Pikachu being like Harry himself. Ron is harder to pin. I want to say Eevee, mostly for all of its different forms. All of the different Weasley siblings, but there are more Weasleys than there are eons, unless you make Fred and George the same eon, which would make sense. Hermione would have to be an exceptionally clever or smart pokemon. A Psychic type. I would go with Gardevoir and its line. (depending on which year which you are referring to) Draco Malfoy-something that's all talk, but really nothing. Sneasel? Lord Voldemort-Seviper. Enough said. Sirius Black-Absol, but that is because it is said to come from the same legend as the Grim came from. I will do one more. Snape-this one is hard. Something really sinister, cunning, and oily, but maybe not truly evil. A Poison type. (The Potions master, for most of the books) Nidoking? (I was thinking Muk, but it just doesn't seem smart enough for all that.)

Weird topic. Still, no one ever said that we needed a good reason to discuss stuff on this board. Frankly, this is acutally a lot less arbitary and random than most crossovers.

Okay, let's look at characteristics.

Harry - Brave, likes flying, tends to overreach himself in the name of the cause (what Hermione so wonderfully named "the hero thing" in OotP) and tends towards violent mood swings.

Heck! He's Ash's Charizard!

Ron - Loyal, not the brightest light in the box but always up for an adventure. Frequently gets himself in trouble by acting first and not worrying about the 'think' bit.

Hmmm... Apart from the gender swap, that makes him a dead ringer for Ash's Bayleef!

Hermione - The polar opposite of Ron. I can't guess how she convinced the Hat not to put her in Ravenclaw. :p She's smart, analytical and, when provoked, capable of giving a knock-out punch with one blow. However, provoking her is very hard; she avoids confrontations wherever possible.

I would point in the direction of a Noctowl who uses Hypnosis or Whirlwind as a get-out-of-battle tool.

Ginny - Action-oriented like her brother but maybe a little less able to look after herself. A bit of a tomboy but not without femininity.

I'd suggest a Kirlia that knows Teleport.

Finally...

Draco - A big-mouthed braggart but not that brave. In a corner, he knows the dirty moves but, when the chips are down, he isn't a fighter.

I think that he is something of a Spearow.

I guess you could use this as the basis of an HP fanfic with really freaky animagus transformations. :-D

The Weasley's as Eeveevoloutions? Huh, interesting. I don't think they could afford the evolution stones! (assuming they would even be present)

Lord Voldemort-Seviper?
Nidoking-Snape?
Okaayy, do people hate Poison Types?
Voldemort as a Seviper would get interesting when a Zangoose showed up.
Was it the parselmouth trait that made you choose the Fang Snake?

Nidoking as Snape? Nidoking seems too dense. I think Umbreon (it's no poison type, but supposedly sprays poisonous sweat) works better.

All talk, really nothing Malfoy, hmm? The guy's family's rich, a Meowth with the knowledge of Pay Day 'good' enough for you?

As for Sirius Black, maybe his animagus form would be Absol, as a ''Human'' probably something more tragic - Mankey? Magikarp?

Yes, I did choose Seviper, not only because of Parselmouth, but he is very much like a snake himself, and Seviper is just nastier than Arbok.

Cool, Meowth does work better as Draco. Especially with Lucius as a Persian.

I suppose an Umbreon would be better for Snape. I was trying not to be redundant with the fact I had already used eons.

Animagus form of Sirius, huh? I will go with that, but for reasons I'll get to later. His normal form...He descends from a pureblood family of dark wizards. How about Houndoom, the other dark canine, only make him a friendly one?

As for the Weasleys evolving into the various eons-I was thinking to have them evolve by their respective personalities. Bill is smart. Espeon. Charlie is the athlete. Jolteon, due to its speed. Percy is ambitious, but conformist. For reasons I will get to later, I choose Vaporeon. Fred & George, the pranksters-Umbreon, but friendly Umbreon. Ron is Eevee, not having any specific specialty. Ginny is determined and spunky. Flareon. (As you can see, for Percy, only Vappy was left :p) Arthur & Molly-Eevee (He's plain)and Flareon (Hot-head). If you feel any of that needs to be changed, let me know.

Other Hoggy staff:
Dumbledore: Very wise and powerful. There is no doubt, this needs to be a Psychic legendary. This also goes with him being the one person Voldy feared because Psychics are the most effective against Poison types. Lugia. And Moltres is Fawkes the phoenix. XD (I didn't want to give him any of the most powerful Psychic legendaries. :p)

McGonagall: Stern, but fair. The Transfiguration master. Ninetales? Delcatty animagus. (The reason why I could not refuse separate forms for Sirius)

Flitwick: Diminutive, smart(Head of Ravenclaw), jolly. Charms master. Natu?

Sprout: Friendly. Herbology master. Meganium?

Hagrid: big, lovable lug. May seem intimidating. Slaking?

Trelawney: almost defunct medium. Slowpoke?

The array of Defense Against the Dark Arts:

Quirrel: He obviously has some skill. Maybe ambitious. Was duped by Voldy. Lickitung? (Normal for not being that significant, and can have the ability Oblivious)

Lockhart: Vain, but really nothing. Good at Obliviating. Butterfree? (Just about the most attractive thing I could find that learns Confusion, and has unfavorable stats)

Lupin: Cool, pretty knowledgable. Charizard? Werewolf form: Mightyena? o.o

Moody: Paranoid ex-Auror. Very tough. Skarmory? (A poke riddled by scarring in its youth that has made it a tough Steel-type. Has Keen Eye.)

Umbridge: Unfair, snotty, and by-the-book. Golbat? (The most annoying pokemon I could think of)

And finally, Slughorn, Snape's replacement as Potions master. He sucks up to those that have the real power and talent. He sounds more like Muk to me.

The school champions:

Cedric Diggory: kinda inept, but brave and a loyal friend. Growlithe?

Fleur: Milotic. Need I say more?

Krum: Jock. Machoke?

I think malfoy should be a meowth and those two idiots with him are jessie and james.... or he could be a persian.

I agree with your discription of malfoy bu he is more a meowth

I agree with every one of Sceptile's, aside from trelawny. Trelawny is a really poor psychic, but every so often, she has REAL premonitions and can't remember them. PSYDUCK?
