Yeah, I thought it was the opposite as well. No wonder I kept finding Starlys and Bidoofs.

uh fuzzball is completely wrong, the grass that sparkles has the rare Pokemon. This is the way I've been doing it and it's worked very well for me. Serebii backs me up too.

The thing about Pokeradar is that, well, it sucks for just finding a Pokemon. It depends on the Pokemon and your luck. Personally, I spent about half an hour trying to find a male Smeargle about a week ago; I spent two minutes trying to find a male Smeargle last night.

Where PokeRadar shines is when you care about breeding for IVs and natures, because you can set up chains of the same Pokemon over and over again - allowing you to catch great numbers of a certain rare Pokemon and keep the best ones for breeding. If only Ditto were easier to find... >.>

I tried the sparkling grass and got common Pokemon, so I went in the non-sparkling and found rarer ones. Maybe it's just my game, though.

The grass that shakes slow has a common pokemon and the grass that shakes fast is supposed to have a rare one (even though I've found Starlys and Bidoofs in fast-shaking grass).
