Has anyone here been "infected" with this amazingly helpful condition? If so, share your experiences and encounters with it. As you may know, all it takes is one of your Pokemon to be infected and you could potentially infest your whole damn collection!

My first run in with the Pokérus was at a Nintendo event in Warrington (England) where Toys R Us were hosting a legal Mew giveaway for Generation III cartridges. I went with my friend and a handful of cartridges around two years ago and as well as getting around 25 legal Mews for myself and friends, I had the opportunity to trade with many people of all ages. What resulted was a baby Mudkip with the Pokérus, so I then proceeded to spread it around as many of my own team I could, as well as my friends. Was a good haul indeed.

Post yours!

I once, In Diamond, was chaining Larvitar (badly), on route 207 outside Oreburgh, minding my own business...

When all of a sudden, what turns up but a Phanpy! Right after I had healed my pokemon at the P.C. And I hadn't realised that these were about! So I caught it, and went to heal my newly battle-worn whatever-it-was-I-was-using-that-wasn't-terribly-strong...

Only to discover, to my surprise, that the Phanpy had given my Pokemon the infestation!
____

Fast forward to Platinum, most of a year later, and I was on my first run through of my game - with a Charmeleon that my friend given to me as an egg so that I could use that instead of the usual starters - which I was training In the same patch of grass that I had encountered the 'rus covered Phanpy in Diamond... So I was healing my Charmeleon when I am told to my surprise that I had the Pokerus again!

well ine happened when i was playing sapphire once,so i kept healing my pokemon, because i didn't know what it was.

I got it in Ruby. Went to heal my Pokemon in either Oldale or Petalburg. I don't know which Pokemon had it.

never got it myself, only from GTS. I also have lot's of pokemon from GTS who have a smiley next to them (which mean they have had it)

Dang. I never got pokerus. I've gotten plenty of shinies without trying, but never pokerus. I didn't even believe it existed until I started coming online a couple years ago.

In Sapphire, I caught an Electrike above Slateport City under that bridge. It had the pokerus. I was like WTF...but happy when I figured out it wasn't a bad thing.

I only heard rumors about it from people I knew. I never actually believed it...

Don't believe! It's all an internet hoax to raise our spirits before crushing them! All those with Pokerus are liars and just want to LOL at us!!!

Seriously, what are the chances of getting Pokerus anyways?

My first run in with it was in Sapphire when I was training for the Elite 4 if I remember correctly, I got it again on Diamond when I was constructing a team and then my most recent expierience with it was when I traded for a Golem and it had it. I traded with my brother and friends a lot when I had it so they got it too, I just am extremely lucky I guess.

@Phoenicks- Somewhere are 1/21,000 =P

I got Pokerus in my Diamond game after starting a new one. I was north of Jubelife, and caught a Zubat. At first, I thought my pokemon were gonna die >.>
Then I realized what it was, and went out and caught some Bidoof to infect for later Muhahah. XD

I've only seen it once ever since I started playing pokemon games, I don't remember what game but I think it was my ruby. Suddenly I just saw my pokemon had it, don't know how it got infected and I don't know I still have a pokemon infected with it either.

Some kind soul on GTS sent me a Ditto with Pokerus, and that's the only time I've ever gotten it. Now all of the pokemon I use have it, and I make sure to infect Pokemon with it before trading them over GTS to ensure more fun for everyone. :p

Never got it in GSC, but in RS I managed to borrow some kid's game to give him some good stuff, and found he had it, so I got it from there.

Then when Emerald came out, somehow I got it separately. From there, they transferred it to DP, then Pt.

i got it in crystal and in every game after that. i didnt know it was rare until recently.

Well I got it in one of my gen III games and I was just like "wtf?" and saved and turned off my gba. I probably wouldn't have saved but it was just a habit and I turned the game off before I realized. Obviously it was gone a couple of days later. I think that was Emerald. Then, years later, this year actually, I found it on my Regirock. Lucky me. =D

guy had school had it. None of us had a clue what it was. And none of us had the idea to look it up online. I'm sorry to say it was me that suggested it sounds like some disease and Brian got scared and restarted his game. To this day, I regret it. He was going to restart anyways but wanted me to hold onto his pokemon so he wouldn't have to get them later. I could have gotten Pokerus and... I scare him off. Lucky me.

I got it in Platinum, and it spread across my whole team. Sadly, it was cured before I got to do anything with it. In Diamond, I have a Bidoof with the Pokérus stored away in a PC box. I got it off the GTS. The same happened with a Turtwig in Platinum. So now I can spread it to more Pokémon again.

Dang. I never got pokerus. I've gotten plenty of shinies without trying, but never pokerus. I didn't even believe it existed until I started coming online a couple years ago.

You have the opposite luck to me!

(Only once I came across a shiny Tentacool, in FireRed, before I knew what a shiny was!)
