Is everyone using pokesav or action replay teams online? I played with some people but also watched videos and read forums and no one seems to use pokemon they caught and trained themselves. I know it takes alot of time and my team isnt big, and mostly with wrong natures and i have to EV train them myself too but i think its way more fun then using a perfect team you created lol. Im naivee
am i the only one not using pokesav ?Q_Q

I train all of my Pokemon and they are all caught/bred 100% legitimately and I currently have three competitive teams with all level 100 Pokemon. If you put the effort into it, when you train your Pokemon they are much more worth it in the end.

My Pokemon are like rare diamonds, as I put so much work into them to get them to level 100 with the IV's/EV's I wanted for them and they are not PokeSav'd, RNG'd etc. Your not the only one don't worry. ^^

I don't use PokéSav myself, or even RNG for that matter. All the Pokémon I raise are bred or soft-resetted for, then trained myself. Yes it takes a lot of time, but that makes the reward all the more enjoyable.

I have tried to RNG myself, but I cannot get my head around it. I know some friends who do RNG though, so if I need anything particularly tricky (like a roamer) or a Dream World Pokémon, I ask them if it's taking too long for me to do it (like, say if I have a deadline).

Yes exactly, i think its morerewarding and just feels better when you create your very own team by hard work plus your pokemon are unique ^^ lol . I just like using my own team even if that means losing most games ...

I'm too lazy to learn to RNG and I don't use Pokesav. I have used Action Replay in the past, but I am doing my best to not use any of that anymore. It's tempting to do because you can EV train stuff a lot faster that way, but it leaves permanent scars on your game. Like when you use the 900x all items cheat, it also gives you 900 Liberty Passes and 900 Casteliacones you can't get rid of. I have never used an AR'd Pokemon for anything more than crappy in-game stuff though.

Most people use Pokesav because it's easy to use. You can easily get a good Pokemon with no RNGing, and then just send it to your game with the GTS exploit.

I don't really use it for my Main Teams. I only use it if I want to make completely illigle Pokemon, like a Sperow with Judgement.

I train my Pokemon to Level 100. I used to use the Action Replay, but that lead to my own downfall. Now I learned from my mistakes, and train my Pokemon, and I'm 10x tougher then I ever was.

Some people don't have patience, myself included, you just catch some random Pokemon, overwrite them with ones that already have everything you need, saves a lot of time. If I did actually spend the time to breed and train all those Pokemon I would expect to be facing other legit teams, I would like to be rewarded for the hard work, which I know can be satisfying, I did breed at one point.

I tried the legit way for almost 1 year before I decided to give up and just download the needed mons. Legit mons drain a lot of your time and by the time you train a perfect mon, the metagame has changed. My main focus is battling and winning and not on the "creating" process so I have no moral issues whatsoever.

Once I learned how I used PokeSav too. It's a massive time-saving tool, and I don't mind cheating to win. There's too much work and math involved in RNG and IV-breeding and the like. OTL

Someone think legit pokemon is worth to play.
Someone think only high-IV pokemon can be used in competitive play.
And that is a problem.
Getting high-IV pokemon is relatively hard, and it drains your time.
Someone even uses more time at breeding, rather than battle with other people.
That's just a different mind between people.
Some people, includes me, don't feel that put a lot of time at breeding is waste. So they use RNG abuse, or use PokeSav.

idk what i have to say more...

Since I only breed mine for natures and abilities (could never manage the math with IVs even if I wanted to) I don't lose quite so much time, and it's the breeding that's really frustrating for me rather than the EV training that follows. I have no interest in battling competitively; the metagame changes too often and is too complex for my attention span with it, but I like to have my Pokémon in-game reach the best of their potential. That's the reward in itself for me, so I could never imagine being happy with cheated Pokémon. I don't think cheating is really earning the rewards of winning, but that's just what I was taught and I couldn't feel satisfied if it wasn't off my own back to be honest.

That said, if I battled purely for winning and not because I wanted to have a solid, well-loved team with me I figure I'd be okay with cheating. I just like my teams to have more, well, soul than that.

I don't battle much using Wi-Fi, I use simulators instead. I feel bad about cheating online. I consider Pokesav/gen to be cheating even though I use them for my own personal use. I would never take a Pokegen team online. I think that is unfair, even if lots of People do it. With simulators everyone is on equal grounds and making perfect Pokemon is something everyone can do. That said, I do prefer the animations of a DS system.

Sometimes I take my In game team and see how I fare.

I PokeGen, because I don't have time to breed and raise six Pokemon to my liking. It's boring as sin, and entirely pointless when the same thing can be accomplished in a few minutes.

Training and earning your team and victories is not entirely pointless if you're the kind of person who values putting in the work and who appreciates victories and the resulting bond with their team all the more for it. For me personally, my team and their achievements would be meaningless if we didn't work for it.

I don't understand Pokesav tbh. I am really naive at this stuff. I have a bunch of RNGed shinies I got here but I am training them from lvl 1. I did use an AR to box mark a shiny because I spent literally hours attempting to chain shinies to no avail but it isn't as rewarding as getting one through hard work. Most of my team is comprised of pokemon I caught myself (I do have some I traded for) but I am incredibly slow at leveling and it can take me weeks or even months to finish a game. I don't compete cause I know I'd get slaughtered. :(
