I didn't find a thread about Pokeshipping. Its weird, the most popular shipping doesn't have own thread. Well, do you like Pokeshipping? Are you a Pokeshipper? What do you think about relationships between Ash and Misty?

I'm a Pokeshipper and I would like to see them as a couple, but probably it will never happen. Writers don't like Misty so much, she won't return to anime. Why? May is more liked and more popular. In Kanto, Orange and Johto season feelings between Ash and Misty were pretty clear, now I see them as weak. Misty probably still likes Ash but he likes her only as a friend. In the mirage Pokemon Movie (I don't remember the name of this special), Ash didn't really care about Misty. In one scene she droped, she could be dead, but Ash cared more about Pikachu. He could try to help her but he didn't do it. May did. Well, I don't know what will happend between them. I know, this shipping has many fans but if writers don't care about romances, then we won't see them together. I'm not a pessimist because I still have a hope, that maybe Misty will return and Ash will fall in love with her.
 
Pokeshipping is the mother of all Pokemon related shipping categories.

I dont believe Misty will be forgotten forever. 1 of the reasons Advanced shipping is so popular because May clearly looks better than Misty Did

Misty's Appearance is just a joke. she has the face of the most beautiful Anime girl in the pokemon series. only her clothing is ruining it (IMO)

I do believe Ash will fall in love with her if she gets back with a gorgeous look.

Remember the episode which ends up with a party, Ash and Misty both in Japanese Tradition clothes (have no idea how they re called, nor i have an Idea which episode it was)
Misty asked Ash to dance with her. Ash got stunned by her beauty she wears a pink 'japanese tradition dress thing, ash has a green-blue one' and her hair has gotten rid of that pony tail.

Sure u can remember that one. if misty looked like that every day. Pokeshipping would be a fact.

Have you seen this before?

For PokéShipping to become canon on both sides, the writers have to mature Ash to get an interest in girls. If this happens in the show, it will probably be during the final saga, (if the writers give us a proper ending.) They also have to not move on to another Ash ship but we're alright for now.
 
Horray for Pokeshipping! In my book,Drew's a much better match for May than Ash is. If you notice,Ash never actually shows any romantic interest in May,he just reassures her like a friend. No one ever accuses them of being a couple. Ash and Misty? Have you counted how many times people have accused them of being a couple, starting from the beggining of the series? I don't think their will be anything farther than references since this is kids action anime and not shoujo. Yaoi is a definite no-no.
 
Accusations in themselves are not proof. (Ash and May did get accused once, as did Misty and Tracey twice.) But no one beats Ash and Misty when it comes to responding to those accusations. :)
 
No pairing will become canon until the very end of the series anyway, (this includes non-Ash pairings as well), so it's an awfully long wait for the writers to confirm anything once and for all.

I think the final pairings of the show will depend on which characters are still prominent and which aren't, but hey, that's just me.
 
Hey,you're right! I never actually saw Ash and May and Misty and Tracey get accused, but what kid would actually agree with an accusation like that? Now that I think of it,in the pokemon chronicles dub,when Hun accused Jimmy and Marina of being a couple,neither one of them protested,even though Marina was gagged. I had a feeling that if it was Ash and Misty,they both would have pitched a fit. Kids are like that.
 
Pitch a fit is an understatement. They both near hit the roof when Joy remarked that when two people argue alot, they really love each other.

Anyway, I'm with Scott about it. They most likely won't make anything solid until the final saga, and even then that's iffy. Unless they - for some reason - mature Ash beyond the 'A girl? Whatever.' stage that he's in, then none of his will even become cannon. Now the others (Brockx???, Tracyx??? for example) they might, but anythign involving Ash as one of the two....
 
I personally don't think Ash's lack of interest in girls is due to maturity but personality - I've always seen himself as the kind of person who would dedicate his life to pokemon. Romance isn't for everyone after all.

I used to be a pokeshipper, but now I think I'm more of a fan of Ash and Misty rather than the two of them together (I've always preferred fangirling characters over pairings).
 
But even if he wasn't interested in a relationship, only once has he even turned his head to look at a 'pretty girl.' Hell, at the moment I'm not into getting into romance, but I still can look at a guy, and go 'wow, he's cute.' Except for that one episode with gazelle, Ash doesn't even give a second glance.

With Ash, it seems more he's either still at, as I said, the 'Eh, whatever.' stage, or he is just plain oblivious. It could be both, considering different things that've happened in the movies and the show.

Though, we could all discuss why Ash isn't in a relationship until we all are blue, green, and black, but until it gets brought up in the show, we'll never know the true answer.

I just noticed something while watching Advanced Battle on CN the other day. May and Ash are accused of liking each other after having a fight, yet they just turn their backs on each other. Misty and Ash both blushed when TR said they were 'lovebirds.'

You're forgetting that there are other times Ash/Misty didn't blush when called a couple. When Tracey accused them of liking one another in the Orange Islands, it just results in an angry, "You must be crazy!" from Ash/Misty in unison. The writers aren't consistent with blushes it would seem.
 
Yeah, but their reaction in that scene was overexagerated by making both Ash and Misty's heads BIG. That means it was a big deal for them that someone found out they liked each other. Unlike May and Ash's reaction in The Bicker The Better.
 
I'm stating that every denial on this show has not had a blush, including a number of Ash/Misty's. I think in the episode where Ash caught Charmander, Ash and Misty didn't blush when Joy said they really like each other either.

The latter is for another thread, I'm not getting into that here.
 
You know what I find amusing? The fact that one of the Advanceshippers complaints is that Ash and Misty fight all the time, yet the most Advanceshippy episode of the series focuses on Ash and May fighting.
 
Actually, I never thought much about it, besides that if Ash and Misty got together, he'd end up with blood pressure problems later on. :9. That does say alot about Ash and his 'relationships' though.

Those are anti-pokeshipping people who say that, not Advanceshippers. They're two different things, in case you didn't know. Some are Orangeshippers for that matter, and there are even a few Palletshippers still lingering about.
 
You could also say there s a big diff between the 2 girls May and Misty. Misty maybe more free in her feelings because she is.

A: Older, she s even older than Ash
B: She does not have a little brother around. its clear that May never ever wants to say something embarassing about any subject. because her brother is always there to make fun of her.

Still Misty has proven to be more interested in Ash during the series.
Though i like advanceshipping over Pokeshipping. i d like to give Misty very good chances if she returns.

The Misty that appeared in the beginning of the Battle Frontier has really matured. (despite Ash hasn't :D)

But lets not start this thread into an AshxMay vs AshxMisty thread. i know my post isnt helping it anyway but still ^^
 
Going back to what stage Ash is at, that is made clear when he returns home from the Orange Islands. He gives the trophy to Delia in a way that makes clear that she is the most important female in his life at that time. (While he is very close to Misty, the same can also be said for May.)
