So there's a Japanese bookstore/community (owned by Sanseido, near Mitsuwa marketplace) very close to where I live (a mere town away), and they have all original Pokespe volumes, unflipped, raw Japanese, and available in the United States.

I purchased volumes 29 and 30 today (ones that haven't been released in English yet), but alas I am not Japanese (I can speak very very minute amounts and that's about it) and wouldn't be able to scan AND translate - but scanning is an option, provided my schedule allows for mass scanning.

So I wanted to reach out to the PokeSpe fan community by providing raws for other people to translate and release. I want to pose a question: If I provide raws of upcoming volumes and whatnot (I'm poor and I have to spend my own money to buy volumes), would there be people interested in translating and maybe cleaning (I could probably clean scans on my own but I have limited amount of time due to a pretty demanding schedule) if I provide raws?

If this isn't allowed, feel free to close this topic T____T

All I could do is clean...and I would only be interested in doing DP.

I would be interested, especially in Volume 30.

Maybe I don't have enough Japanese skills to translate the manga, I think I might find some people who could do it. I'm a "talent scout" in PC's scan-mafia and I encourage people to scan their books. Hahahah! I'm evil!

it's mostly in hiragana, from what i can tell
there's very little/some basic kanji (the only stuff i can read!!!)

I won't unless I'm guaranteed people who are willing to dedicate themselves to help me, translation especially.

Otherwise, I'll have wasted my precious time for naught...

In my humble opinion, if you were to post the scans, they would get translated.
Like, i mean, if people had scans, they would be translated. Maybe not a full scanslation, but they would definitely be translated. My Japanese is pretty bad, but if it's hiragana then I could transate some of it.

Is it hiragana with or without spaces in between words?

All of the kanji has furigana attached to it in each of the volumes, anyway.

I respect your opinion completely, but like I said I'm doing this for myself mostly as well.I don't want just arbitrary translations. I don't know if this is asking too much, but I want a team that's willing to be dedicated.

I was sure that the Poke-special community would jump at this opportunity, but it would seem I was highly mistaken.

Sorry, but I'm going to have to cut you short there. This is the kind of thing which sadly would get us in trouble.

If someone wants to do a text only translation of the volumes (allowing people here to buy the original Japanese ones and enjoy them fully), that's fine by me, and you're free to start a thread for it, but no public discussions of scans and so forth please. Take it to PM's.
