Hello. I took my Pokéwalker to the beach to get some watts and put it in the small stream to gain watts. (It thought the water was me) It boasts that it is waterproof. But the buttons have stuck down. Literally stuck. We've tried needles to pull them up, but we can't get them up. I'd rather not use the emerency return thing, as I hade over 10,000 watts in the thing, but I want my Togepi back, and it won't come back. The buttons are stuck so pressing them is meaningless. Does anyone know how to get the buttons up? I think sand has got in the holding them down, but I don't know. HELP!

I'd say this is a "Contact Nintendo" thing. Also, WHY WOULD YOU TEST A WATERPROOF STATEMENT?!

Maybe as you said, some small grains from the rocks/sand got into the space between the buttons? Also...why a stream? were you so desperate not to walk?

You can restore Togepi onto your DS, but other than that...as there's no way to get into the front of a PokéWalker, you'd prolly have to order a replacement from Nintendo. AND DON'T PUT IT IN A STREAM.

The Pokéwalker is moisture resistant, not waterproof:

The Pokéwalker is moisture
resistant but may be damaged if immersed in liquid.

That is from the Pokéwalker Instructions that came with the game.

As for what to do now, you should let it dry out for a day or two, if it still isn't working after that, you may have to accept that you broke it and do the return command.

Good Point keegman. I was just testing for no particular reason, then I realised I was getting loads of watts. I don't know why. And yes, restoring is the LAST RESORT. Once restored, I can't get my watts off Pokéwalker. Anyone know how to get the sand out?

This was a stupid thing to do.

And use the Pokewalker thread next time.
