New Details on the upcoming Expansion Pass
The Version 2.0 update introduces a brand new move for Ditto to use, Dive, which will allow players to expand their gameplay underwater. Players will be able to learn Dive from Manaphy only after they have completed the important request Raise the environment level! in Bleak Beach, and have learned how to jump and how to use the move Surf.
- Growing watermelons together with Water specialty Pokémon
- The new Buoyant Blocks, which allow for buildings to be constructed at different levels underwater.
- Having Pokémon with the Generate specialty directly powering various electrical items including bubble machines and street lights
- A pitch-black deep sea area, that Ditto can traverse together with Pokémon using glowing coral to help light their path
- A buildabnle Sharpedo submarine that Ditto can use as their undersea base.
Part 3 release sometime in 2027, though will add another new town together with more new gameplay features. No further details on the nature of these additions are available at this time.
All players who purchase the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass will be able to redeem a Ditto print recipe in-game which will allow them to craft dynamic Ditto print blocks and wallpaper. To claim this recipe, players should press the + Button while in-game to open the main menu and select Downloadable Content, then select Check Items, and then finally select Receive on the following screen.
Players who purchase the DLC by August 31st, 2027, will also receive a code for 30 rare Pokémetal ingots. This code will be sent to the email address connected to the Nintendo Account used to purchase the expansion, and then can be redeemed in-game using the Mystery Gifts feature. Codes will expire on September 30th, 2027.
Pokémon Pokopia's next in-game event, Fetching Scales for Feebas will be held from Thursday August 13th at 5:00am (local time) to Friday August 28thth at 4:59pm (local time).
During the event period, players can encounter Feebas in front of Pokémon Centers, and befriend it receive requests to collect Prism Scales found on Dream Islands. These fragments can be exchanged with Feebas for themed items, including swimming-furniture. Players who use these items to create habitats may be able to entice Feebas and Milotic to stick around town with other Pokémon friends after the event is over.
This event will only be available in towns with a rebuilt Pokémon Center. To visit a Dream Island, Drifloon can be summoned by interacting with any doll.
