By "Red" and "Blue", I mean whichever versions are named first and second, respectively. Also, please don't tell me Diamond is the Blue version of Gen IV; it is named first therefore it is the Red Version.

I personally prefer the Red Versions.

Not really a good description of the tropes, but whatever.

Lemme count. 1 to 3. Looks like I like the secondary games.

Also, you have the ability to make a poll in your thread.

I guess I didn't finish making the poll when you posted. It is up now.

As for the tropes, what I mean is how Red is named before Blue (i.e. Red and Blue, not Blue and Red). The same goes with Gold and Silver (not Silver and Gold), Ruby and Sapphire (not Sapphire and Ruby), FireRed and LeafGreen (not LeafGreen and FireRed), Diamond and Pearl (not Pearl and Diamond), and Black and White (not White and Black).

Well, out of all the games there, I've chosen Blue games the most. Pearl and White. Only because I usually buy them in tandem with a friend of mine, so I get the second version. Besides, I like the Blue Mascots more (Blastoise, Lugia, Kyogre, Palkia, and Reshiram)

I am so indecisive...
Why isn't there a "Both" option?
...But if I had to choose, I'd would be the "Red" versions, I guess.
Red was my first Gen I game, Gold was my first Gen II game... etc., etc...
I guess that's why I chose the "Red" versions...

Yeah, there should really have been a third option for "It depends". Anyways I always choose the second game.

Well, let's see. I've had Red, Yellow, Crystal, Sapphire, Diamond, Pearl, HeartGold, SoulSilver, Black, and White. I've been getting both paired versions starting from Generation IV, so I guess I can't really pick.

I don't really have a preference. I just pick the opposite of what my sister gets. i.e., she wanted Black so I got White; she wanted SoulSilver so I got HeartGold; she wanted Diamond so I got Pearl. That's how it's always been for me.

Mainly the "Blue" games are my first choices, with Diamond and FireRed being the only exceptions. Blue, too, I guess since it's the only main series game I don't have. (... Along with my Sapphire I misplaced. <_<) I would have preferred to get Blue, but I could only find Red. :B

Three out of my five games on that list are the "Blue" versions. I'm half and half really.

"Blue" seems to satisfy me more. But in the end, the "Yellow" version always wins my heart >:D

Red = Blue
Gold > Silver
Ruby < Sapphire
FireRed < LeafGreen
Diamond > Pearl
HG > SS
Black > White

So I guess I generally prefer the "Red" versions, with the 3rd Generation being the strange exception.

1. Red, then Yellow, then Blue
2. Gold, then Crystal, then Silver
3a. Sapphire, then Emerald, then Ruby
3b. LeafGreen, then FireRed
4. None of the three, though I suppose if I had to pick one it'd be platinum because Diamond and Pearl were so slow battlewise.
4b. HeartGold, then SoulSilver
5. White, then Black

I liked Red and Blue but it just got old and boring too fast and people spoiled the games for me. I want to return to my game boy games and enjoy the fun again but only when I get the right stuff and as for the newer games, I'd want them both: Black and White.

For me it`s a 4:3 ratio, with Red (Gold, Ruby, Diamond, HeartGold) just winning by 1 over Blue (Blue, LeafGreen, White). I guess I will probably get the Sapphire remake then to even it out.

I prefer the "Blue" games because of the version exclusives. I used to own 3 of them (2 now because Blue is long gone).

I've always gotten the blue versions and my sister has always gotten the red.

I ALWAYS get the "Red" games, no matter what.

From sales stats, Blue, Silver, Ruby, Diamond, and White seem to be more popular.
