So, which fully-evolved starter Pokémon looks the most masculine?

I would say Charizard.

A tie between Samurott and Emboar.

Tis' the beards.

Although to be honest, every one of them bar Blaziken and Meganium look masculine to me.

I dunno, they're all pretty masculine to me, but if I said MEGANIUM, would I get ridiculed for it?
XD;

I dunno...its Crystal sprite looked pretty tough to me with how it swung its neck and all o.o; *is strange...yes, very, VERY strange*

And Blaziken is awesome! XD; Imagion a boy that could shoot flames outta his risks like that! that'd be...cuute...or if the boy did it typhlosion's way!lol

rebals 4evar :p *peace sign* yaay...*giggles*

~pachibackfuun :D xD~

Defimnitly NOT Meganium. hm... Charizard Samurott and Emboar. 2 have beards (They should have made female Samurott's lose the beard it is creepy) and big gire breathing dragonsstrikeme as male sorry...

Emboar is the only one that looks as though it could not possibly be female, to me.

I agree with this 100%. Emboar is a pokemon that needs visible gender differences if you want it to be female.

Huh? No one hasn't mentioned Typhlosion, like if any one forgets about that ferocious, fire, terrifying, vicious (I can keep on going, lol) fearsome, etc.

Well, I went with Empoleon because it's based on a king or whatever and has a crown. Was going to go with Emboar or Charizard, but decided against it. Most of them look pretty masculine come to think of it.

Gah, these masculine/feminine Pokemon threads break my Biologist's bones, they do.
Still Samurott and Emboar clearly have "humanlike" beards. Unless you're in a Russian circus, that's considered a definitively male trait.

Going by biology, Meganium would be quite manly.

Also I got tired already with the Meganium thread so I'll just echo how it's just that people think fierce = male and stuff.

Though on their concept... while there were women in the samurai class, it was quite different. So I guess Samurott would count. On a similar take, Empoleon obviously uses emperor-like imagery.

In contrast, Serperior does it more gender-neutral. Though it's european royalty we are talking about.

I agree - have they never seen a furious wife? :p But seriously, females can also be fierce. Black widows and hyenas come to mind.

As for masculine starters, I just can't see Blaziken as a female - even with the gender differences, Blaziken will always be rooster to me, and as far as I know, roosters are always males... I guess Samurott can also count, females with that kind of beard are rare or non-existent. As for Emboar, I think it could pass for a female because I can see the beard as a scarf of sorts with a little effort.
