Personality:

Paxton Megania Tranmetsewlive is a man of many things. Of course, as Champion he is an amazing Pokémon battler first and foremost - during his reign of 16 years so far every attempt to overthrow him has met with failure. His battling style focuses on rapid-fire attacking and keeping pressure on the opponent at all times. It’s a battling style he developed to keep up with the rapid-fire demands of the Z-A Royale and it’s served him well - there’s a reason he consistently performs well in the annual Pokémon World Tournament.

Paxton is fond of reading and writing - one of his favourite things to do in his spare time is curl up on the couch with a good book or ponder over an in-progress poem at the desk in his study. He’s written about a variety of subjects, but his best-known poems revolve around battling or his polyamory. Also in his bibliography are several best-selling children’s books.

What Paxton is best known for is being a kind, compassionate and caring soul who looks out for the welfare of everyone - people and Pokémon alike. If you get into trouble - you get hurt, you’re having a bad day or something like that - he won’t hesitate to rush over and ask if you’re okay. He’s there to listen if you need to vent, there to be a shoulder to cry on if you need it, and he’ll happily give you a hug if you ask for one (one of his trademarks is to offer the other trainer a hug after defeating them). His hugs are best described as warm, soft and cozy, like a pressure blanket. Small wonder he’s Kalos’s most beloved Champion yet…

But most of all… Paxton utterly loves, loves, LOVES his polyamorous family more than the universe itself, and he would do anything for them in a heartbeat. He showers them in love at every opportunity he gets - hugging and kissing them, saying nice things about them, gifting them presents, taking part in their activities - and they shower him in love back.

The only problem is that his family worries a bad actor with enough savvy could possibly lead him along or take advantage of his kindness for their own nefarious ends.

But of course, even his kindness and love has its limits. He obviously cannot extend his warmth to anyone who disparages the LGBTQ+ community with no remorse, and attacking or harassing his family is probably the worst possible mistake one could make in the Pokémon universe - when he gets angry, woe befall the one who provoked his wrath.

But overall, Paxton is probably as close to a perfect human being as one could get. His motto in life is “everyone is my friend”, and he goes above and beyond to live up to it.

Personality:

When Paxton first met Taunie during his initial visit to Lumiose City, her friendly demeanour and personality meant it wasn't long before a bond formed between them. And the Tranmetsewlives are happy to tell you that Taunie’s friendliness hasn’t diminished with time. She’s still just as happy and outgoing as ever, although she doesn’t show as much physical affection to others as her husband does.

When it comes to Pokémon battling Taunie is pretty good, but every time she and Paxton face each other in a friendly match her husband trounces her. It’s been that way ever since they married. And yet she’s in it for the fun - seeing the excitement in her husband’s face as he skillfully commands his Pokémon in battle is more than enough to make up for being crushed, not to mention the hugs he gives her afterwards.

Paxton mentioned liking Taunie’s cooking during their adventure and he thought she would make a great chef - and he has been proven correct. After he left for Paldea, Taunie took up a job as a chef at Restaurant Le Wow, where she honed her skills under the watchful eye of several of Kalos’s best chefs. Eventually shortly after they married, Taunie struck out on her own to establish her own restaurant, Restaurant Tastopolis, which has proven a major success.

It will not surprise you to learn that the Tranmetsewlives consider Taunie’s culinary capabilities to be utterly unmatched in this world, and they are always excited for when it’s Taunie’s turn to cook, since that means they essentially get to eat at Tastopolis for free! Taunie has always adored the sparkles in her family’s eyes as they greedily dig in, and their plates are consistently completely clean by the time dinner is over. Her family often brag that she could probably take a plate of Muk’s slop and turn it into something actually edible - that’s how highly they think of her cooking.

She has also been something of a pioneer - she came up with several unique recipes for her restaurant and they have all proven popular with the public to the point several other restaurants have added her recipes to their menus.

She still wants to help the people of Lumiose like she did in her childhood, and so she organises a monthly drive to help feed the homeless and raise money for charity. She also helps out her husband with queer advocacy whenever possible and is happy to serve as a model for Naveen’s art or dance with Lida whenever necessary. And of course, she loves her family with all the love she can muster, and they love her back. Her family all receive at least one hug a day from her, and she receives lots of hugs back. She also visits her brother Urbain regularly at Hotel Z and he’s her closest non-marriage friend.

PS: If you’re wondering about why Taunie isn’t CEO of Quasartico as Jett was passing that role onto her, she had a deep hard thought about it and decided she wouldn't be able to handle such a massive role. She had a heart-to-heart conversation with her grandmother where she voiced her concerns, and thankfully Jett proved receptive to said concerns and agreed to look for a new successor (she was also worried about possible accusations of nepotism).

As for her role as a Hotel Z employee - Urbain took over the hotel.

Personality:

Paxton’s warmth and happiness had succeeded in getting Naveen to gradually defrost himself and warm up to the other members of Team MZ; and by the time Paxton returned to Paldea, Naveen had shed his old indifferent self and now got along with his teammates splendidly. Whilst Paxton was away, Naveen continued work on his clothesmaking business, and he also enrolled in the Lumiose Fine Arts Academy to hone his talents.

Whilst studying there Naveen tried out painting at the others’ suggestion and discovered that not only did he enjoy painting, he had a real knack for it! He soon found himself trying other forms of visual art - sculpting, animation, photography - and took to all of them like a duck takes to water. His teachers enthusiastically described him as one of the Academy’s best and brightest students, and he graduated from the Academy with high honours. Soon afterwards he took up work as a freelance visual artist.

Naveen is very passionate about his love of visual art and will often spend tens of hours working on a single piece to ensure it is perfect. His time in the Fine Arts Academy has given him a keen eye for detail - sometimes he spends considerable time adjusting a certain section of a work to fix a flaw. However, sometimes he gets so wrapped up in a piece he forgets to eat…

His dedication has not gone unnoticed - Naveen’s art has been featured in numerous interregional art galleries, museums and fashion shows, he has won multiple awards for his pieces, and he is the owner of a successful clothing line. Some are even calling him “the next Pokcasso”. But Naveen reserves his greatest talent for his family - the house is decorated in his works from paintings on the walls to sculptures in the courtyard to the family’s entire wardrobe (including the adults’ wedding attire). And like any good Tranmetsewlive he shares hugs and kisses with his family. Not to say he doesn’t share his art with Lumiose - several of the city’s top businesses have commissioned him to decorate their walls and his sculptures dot the city.

As for Pokémon battling - he is a skilled Trainer in his own right and can hold his own against his wives and children, but against his husband he consistently gets steamrolled. Notably he now has a Smeargle as his ace, whom he dotes on.

He is no longer a fan of Canari - people change with time after all, and he just moved on. He does occasionally revisit her earlier streams for nostalgia’s sake, but he now mainly spends his online time watching art streams looking for inspiration.

If you ever meet Naveen for yourself - word of advice, do NOT mention AI “art” in anything but a negative light, unless you want to be on the receiving end of the mother of all verbal lashings.

Personality:

Out of the Tranmetsewlive family, Lida is easily their most energetic member. When she’s happy she always walks along with a bounce in her step, and she sometimes finds herself breaking into dance or singing whenever she’s standing still or listening to music. It adds a lively bounce to the Tranmetsewlive household that they thoroughly enjoy.

After Paxton returned to Paldea, Lida was given an offer to act in a short movie being produced by a youth group, being assigned the role of the lead protagonist. The Internet ended up loving her performance, and at Taunie’s suggestion Lida enrolled in the Lumiose Fine Arts Academy alongside Naveen to perfect her craft. It was during her studies that Lida truly fell in love with the performance arts - she perfected her dancing and blossomed into a skilled actress, and she also discovered a natural talent for music composition.

After her graduation Taunie used a favour with her grandmother to get Lida control of the Rust Syndicate’s old headquarters, which she converted into a dance school. There Lida tutors people of all ages in dancing and acting - her lively, happy energy always gets people excited to move, and Lida can already pick out a few of the next big faces in cinema amongst her students.

Lida is also a stellar actress - she has already starred in several major movies and live-action TV series. Her big breakout came in the 2030 movie Bulbasaur’s Odyssey, where she played the role of Bulbasaur's trainer Pollux Astella, and her critically acclaimed performance in that film was key behind its massive success. Her amazing talent has made her highly-sought after by TV and film studios, but unlike most celebrities she does not use an agent and prefers to negotiate directly with producers.

Rounding out her impressive resume is a discography of amazing songs. The music tracks she composes regularly rear their heads in the Kalos Top 20 billboards, and she has claimed the top spot five times. She covers a wide array of genres ranging from pop to funk to disco to hip-hop, and the Music Guild of Kalos has induced her into their Hall of Fame. She plays both the guitar and the piano. And it will not surprise you to learn that she composed the dance music for the Tranmetsewlive wedding.

When she faces her wife and Naveen in battle her Pokémon can certainly give them a run for their money, but like the others she crumbles by the wayside against Paxton. She has an Obstagoon she caught on vacation in Galar as her ace.

And Lida dotes on her family like any Tranmetsewlive. She sings her children to sleep when they’ve had a bad day, helps Paxton out with his queer advocacy, provides input on Taunie’s recipes and helps jog Naveen’s mind when he needs inspiration for his next big art project.

Personality:

Seine and their twin sister Loire didn’t exactly have the best start to life. Their parents died shortly after their birth and they were placed in an orphanage, but owing to poor conditions there they both ran away when they were six. Thankfully, they were only on the streets for a few weeks before Paxton came across them. After hearing their sad story, Paxton wasted no time opening his heart and allowing them to come home with him. Thankfully it wasn’t long before the whole family was in love, and five months after the first encounter the twins officially became Seine and Loire Tranmetsewlive, the newest additions to the family. Now when they returned to school a few of the other children picked on them for this and they weren’t sure if the Champion of Kalos himself deserved them, but thankfully his love and compassion eventually helped them shed these negative thoughts and now they are proud to call themselves Tranmetsewlives.

Seine fretted a lot over their sister’s health while they were on the streets, and this worry soon translated to concern for the health of the family’s Pokémon. Whenever one of the family Pokémon is knocked out in battle, suffers a gnarly injury or eats something bad, Seine is the first one on the scene to provide aid. They are quite knowledgeable about the various ailments that can befall Pokémon - they study them in the school library and do volunteer work at a local Pokémon Centre after school. It will not surprise you to learn that Seine wants to become a Pokémon Doctor when they grow up.

Seine’s first Pokémon was an Eevee, received at the age of ten from their dad, and out of the family’s children Seine is easily the one who has taken the most interest in Pokémon battling, and they are quite good at it - they are receiving training from the Champion of Kalos, after all! They are the Champion of the North Lumiose League Club and have reigned for two years now. They can stand toe-to-toe with their mothers and Papa Naveen, but every time they face their dad he easily flattens them. But it’s okay since he always tells them how good of a battler they are and pepper them with love.

Seine does occasionally argue with their sister, but at the end of the day the two are best friends.

At the age of twelve they realised that the identity of male didn’t quite feel right to them, and they didn’t feel right being female either. After learning about the term “non-binary” from the Internet they decided that’s what they were, but they were nervous that Paxton wouldn’t accept them. Thankfully those fears were unfounded as he proved very supportive when they came out, and so did the rest of the family.

Personality:

Compared to her sibling, Loire is somewhat shy and timid. Now, she can socialise with her family just fine, but outside or at school she acts somewhat withdrawn and aloof, preferring to keep to herself. At home she tends to stay in her room most of the time unless her family needs her for something. She is close with her sibling Seine, who was her protector before they were adopted. Sometimes she finds herself the target of bullying over her shyness, but thankfully her family always has her back and they can make her persecutors back off.

Generally Loire focuses on her studies at school after she gets home, and she is a star student with straight-A grades. But after her homework is complete, she can focus on her real passion. Loire is a gamer - her first console was a Game Brick that Paxton got her as a Christmas present at age ten, and she quickly fell in love with the hobby. She plays a variety of games, but her favourite title by far is the sandbox game Order of the Stone. Playing games with her family is her main way of bonding with them, and it seems to be working well for her. And she doesn’t just play games - she also reviews them online and posts tutorials on the internet for those who don’t have the gamer knowledge like her to clear that difficult level or take on that boss.

In her spare time, she also runs a clique of online friends called the Controller Gals, who stream videos of various games sort of like her Papa Naveen’s old idol Canari. In fact, her closest friend outside the family is Canari’s daughter Cardinal, who is pretty much the only non-family person she will readily socialise with. They clicked over their shared gaming tastes and consider each other honorary sisters.

Admittedly, her love of games has somewhat bled into the real world, as she sometimes inserts gamer lingo into her vocabulary or mimes out the actions of her favourite game characters. Naturally she wants to be a game developer when she is older - she has begun taking programming classes in school and is gradually learning the ins and outs of coding so she can build her own games - she already has plans for her first title laid out.

When it comes to Pokémon battling, she’s… not very good. She never really showed any interest in it unlike her parents or Seine, and what battle knowledge she does have is what she studied in school as part of her mandatory battle studies classes. She only takes part in battles with her family at their request and she gets defeated fairly quickly, but even so her family is quick to hug and kiss her afterwards, which she doesn’t mind.

Personality:

Naissa, Vie and Mort Tranmetsewlive are truly one-of-a-kind children. Born with the help of gene-splice reproductive technology, they get the special privilege of having not just two, but four biological parents - and all the extra love and happiness that comes with it. They may only be six years old right now, but the triplets have already blossomed into individuals with unique personalities.

Naissa was the first-born of the three by around two minutes. For the first four years of her life she was unsure of what she wanted to do when she grew up, but when she was five she watched a Rhyhorn race on TV at her preschool where some of the world’s best racers were competing, and she was so enthralled by what she saw she wanted to give it a go. So Paxton signed her up for a youth Rhyhorn racing class after school, and wasn’t long before she realised a natural talent for the sport.

Now at the tender age of six Naissa commands a Rhyhorn on the track with a grace and skill that amazes even experienced adult riders, and she is the champion of the under-10 division of Lumiose’s Rhyhorn racing circuit, with a gold medal and two silvers under her belt. She has plans to compete in the regional and eventually interregional circuits when she’s older.

Naissa’s mind operates on a sense of speed, and usually that means she tries to find the fastest possible way to complete a task. That means often she runs or rides in places she shouldn’t, or attempts to do what people ask of her before they can give the full instructions. Sometimes she also rushes her schoolwork - something her parents are trying to discourage. But it also means that often Naissa is the fastest to think of an idea to solve a problem, which has come in handy several times. And if she witnesses something bad happening, she’ll be first to spring into action to summon help.

With regards to battling, Naissa doesn’t actually have much knowledge of it as, alongside her siblings, she is considered too young to actually take part in battles and usually watches from the side during the family’s monthly tournaments. She doesn’t even own any Pokémon aside from her Rhyhorn (whom she nicknames Serena after her favourite racer), who she only uses for racing and quick transport, and he doesn’t exactly have a battle-oriented moveset himself. Of course her father intends to give her a proper battling Pokémon when she turns ten, but that day is quite a while away…

Sometimes Naissa’s impulsivity annoys her family, especially when they have to give her instructions or fix a mess it caused, but at the end of the day she loves her parents and siblings and they love her back.

Personality:

Vie is the middle of the Tranmetsewlive triplets, born two minutes after Naissa and three minutes before Mort. She’s something of an outdoor flower as she prefers the open spaces of the outdoors - in fact she’s claustrophobic, which she developed after she accidentally locked herself in her toybox when she was two.

As soon as Vie was old enough to walk she took an interest in the flowers in the courtyard, as she admired their colours and wanted some of them for herself. Never one to discourage his childrens' interests, Paxton had Chloro, Ramos’s son and Courmarine City Gym Leader, begin tutoring Vie in the art of gardening - how to care for plants, keep them safe from diseases and pests and make them bloom in the brightest hues possible. And Vie loves her new passion. After she completes her homework, she spends most of her spare time tending to the plants in the courtyard, making sure they’re happy and healthy. And she always takes time to admire the fruit of her labour.

Sometimes she uses her skills to decorate Naveen’s sculptures with a herbaceous flair, which he quite likes. And she is also in charge of the vegetable and berry garden that Taunie sources many of her ingredients from. It’s probably thanks to her amazing floral touch that the resulting meals are so good. And the parents will happily tell you that they have no problem getting Vie to eat her veggies - she even likes Brussels sprouts!

Another activity Vie is fond of is mini golf. When she was five, Paxton took the family to a funfair as a bonding activity, and there Vie saw the mini golf and wanted to give it a try. When she did, she got a hole in one on the first course! She performed well on the rest of the courses, and by the final hole she knew she loved this new activity. When she competes in mini golf alongside the rest of the family she usually gets the lowest scores out of everyone. She has shown interest in playing actual golf when she is older, but that will probably be a few years away. Until then, she’s content to be queen of the putter.

Like her siblings, her father believes she is too young to take part in Pokémon battles yet and so she prefers to either work on the garden or watch from the sidelines while the family duke it out. Her favourite Pokémon are mainly Grass-types, who help her with her gardening work. She is closest with Paxton’s Meganium and hopes to have a Meganium of her own someday.

And it will not surprise you to know that just like any Tranmetsewlive, Vie both gives and receives a lot of love from the rest of her family.

Personality:

Mort is the youngest of the Tranmetsewlive triplets, and he is quite gifted and talented for his age like his siblings. In Mort’s case, Paxton read one of the books of the Hemlock Holmes series to him as a bedtime story when he was three, and he ended up loving it so much he asked his father to read it again and again, and from there his love of all things detective was born.

He may only be six, but Mort’s logic and problem-solving skills are amazing for someone of his age. Often he can be found pondering over a riddle in one of his books, mulling over a crossword in the newspaper or putting together a jigsaw puzzle in his school’s library - the harder, the better! He also likes reading like his father, and his favourite books are mystery fiction - especially the Hemlock Holmes series, which he has read several times over. In fact, lately his school has been considering letting him skip a grade, but Paxton is hesitant since he wants his son to socialise with other boys his age.

He also loves it when he gets to try and solve his own cases! Whenever there’s a mystery around the house to be solved, you can bet that Mort will be first to jump to it! He can claim credit for solving the case of who stole Naveen’s oil pastels (it was a mischievous Haunter) or who ate the cookies from the cookie jar (it was Loire, who was hungry after an especially long gaming stream). Reviewing all the evidence, conducting interviews, staying on the trail - it all makes Mort feel big and grown-up, and he is excited to eventually join the Looker Bureau when he is older. He hopes his name might be up there with Hemlock Holmes himself one day!

Naturally, this love of all things detective means that Mort is very close with his godmother Emma, who acts as something of a mentor to him. He always enjoys it when she comes over to babysit and never leaves her side the whole time. And with the family’s permission she picks him up on Fridays from school and lets him hang out at the Looker Bureau and help her with her cases. It’s probably his most favourite time of the week. But do not let that fool you - although he may be close with Emma, Mort loves his family first and foremost, and he reserves the tightest hugs for his parents and siblings.

When it comes to Pokémon Mort is especially fond of Psychic-types, which his father and Emma have taken note of. His father has arranged for Mort to receive an Espurr of his own as his first partner when he turns ten. However just like his siblings his father believes he is too young to participate in battles just yet.

Personality:

Canari’s daughter Cardinal is a reflection of her mother in a lot of ways. She quickly picked up a fascination for her mother’s streams from a young age, and upon receiving her own Rotom Phone at age 11 her mother helped her set up her own streaming channel by the name of Controller Gals. Playing through all sorts of games from platformers to RPGs to puzzle games, the stream has proved a hit with the students of North Lumiose Secondary School and is beginning to win over fans throughout Lumiose City. Her favourite game is probably the wide-open sandbox game Order of the Stone, as she adores the freedom and creativity it offers.

When she met Loire Tranmetsewlive as classmates at school, they became fast friends over their shared interest in gaming and Cardinal soon invited Loire to join Controller Gals. They are very close as friends and are always excited to see each other when they stream on Tuesday and Friday afternoons. However they also have differences, mainly in their gaming strategies - Loire tends to take things slowly and carefully while Cardinal is more of a “LEEROY JENKINS” figure, preferring to charge into the fray without wasting time. Sometimes this attitude gets on Loire’s nerves as it runs them into trouble, but it has also saved her in-game on a few occasions.

Naturally Cardinal is quite close with her mothers. DYN4MO itself is no more and Canari has since retired from streaming due to declining viewer numbers, but she is very supportive of her daughter’s dreams and has been training her in the art of streaming, and is also the chief moderator of Controller Gals’s streams. Gwynn is the one who helps promote said streams, and they manage the growing Controller Gals fanbase together. The Tranmetsewlive family are good friends too - they are always happy to have Cardinal over for sleepovers and Paxton considers her an honorary daughter. In fact, he secretly ships the two…

In terms of Pokémon battling, she’s like Loire in that she never really showed any interest in it. She does occasionally partake in battles at school, but usually she gets defeated fairly easily. Her mother’s Electric-type Pokémon, notably Eelektross, often helps charge Cardinal’s laptop when the battery is low.

But she’s not 100% sweet - Cardinal also inherited her mother’s tendency to crash out whenever something goes wrong, and her gamer rage is truly something to behold - when she really snaps she pounds the punching bag by her bed with a force a 13-year-old shouldn’t have. But it’s usually only brief. Also she often grumbles when having to do chores around the Ornithur household, and getting her to eat her vegetables was quite the tedious undertaking when she was younger. Thankfully she will eat them now, but not before sighing in annoyance.

Okay, before I continue fleshing out the Poly Paxton supporting cast, I’m gonna quickly lay out what became of the supporting cast of Legends: Z-A in the time between the game and Paxton’s biography.

Jett: After the conversation with Taunie where she agreed to look for a new successor as Quasartico CEO, she appointed Vinnie as her successor instead. She then retired to a private home in the suburbs of Lumiose to live out the rest of her life, although she did provide Vinnie with useful advice. She passed away in 2039 of stomach cancer at age 82.

Vinnie: As Quasartico CEO he conducted the redevelopments of the other cities of Kalos at Paxton’s request and worked closely with him to transform them into places where people and Pokémon alike could live in harmony. He later worked with the Paldea League to redevelop Mesagoza, and plans are underway to redevelop Wyndon and Cerulean City.

Canari: She fell pregnant with Cardinal in 2033 after a one-night stand. That, combined with declining viewer numbers, forced her to dissolve DYN4MO and retire from streaming. She later picked up a new job as the manager of a game store in Lumiose City. She would later marry Gwynn in 2035 and they would raise Cardinal as their daughter together.

Tarragon: He supported his granddaughter with motherhood after the end of DYN4MO, but sadly he passed away from a heart attack in 2041.

Ivor: After a heart-to-heart talk with Paxton on the matter Ivor came to accept the Wild Zones were not going anywhere and disbanded the Fist of Justice. He still runs the Justice Dojo, where he trains young children in martial arts, including several of the Tranmetsewlive childrens’ friends. He's also been thinking of becoming Lumiose City’s Gym Leader…

Gwynn: Shortly before Paxton returned to Lumiose City she finally realised she was truly in love with Canari. Thankfully it wasn't long before Canari found herself reciprocating, and they began dating in 2029. She proved a major help to Canari after she fell pregnant with Cardinal (during an experiment with swinging) and she helps moderate Controller Gals and takes Cardinal to school in the morning. As for her job she runs a society of battlers, the Lumiose Underground League, in the Lumiose sewers, which she set up after the SBC’s demise, and has served as its Champion ever since its founding.

Corbeau: During Paxton’s Pokémon journey the Rust Syndicate’s luck ran out - they attempted to antagonise Looker himself whilst he was undercover on a case in Lumiose City, and in response he had the International Police and the Kalos League launch a crackdown on the Syndicate, culminating in the Police storming the Syndicate's headquarters and arresting most of its members. Corbeau himself managed to give them the slip, but his whereabouts are currently unknown and have been for the last nineteen years. Eventually the Kalos League, with some persuading from Quasartico, would hand the Syndicate’s headquarters to Lida, who had them converted into a dance school.

Philippe: He was arrested during the raid on the Syndicate’s headquarters. Charged with blackmail, coercion and a count of murder, he is serving a life sentence at the South Lumiose Penitentiary.

Jacinthe: Shortly after Paxton became champion of Kalos, he ran into Lebanne at a bar where they had a chat, and Lebanne seemed unusually sad. After some coaxing, Paxton was able to get Lebanne to open up to him, and she revealed that Jacinthe was even harsher to her behind closed doors. Eventually with the MZ quartet’s help Lebanne summoned the courage to report Jacinthe to the police. This triggered an investigation led by Emma that uncovered a lot more unsavoury behaviour on Jacinthe’s part, up to and including Pokémon abuse. Needless to say, in the ensuing firestorm both the SBC and Jacinthe’s career were burnt to the ground overnight. Jacinthe herself was finished off with a forty-year prison sentence, which she is serving at South Lumiose Penitentiary. She and Philippe are actually cellmates…

Lebanne: Following her liberation from Jacinthe’s abuse Paxton offered her a job as his secretary for his Champion duties. She accepted without hesitation, and people note she seems a lot happier there than she was as part of the SBC.

Emma: She is still surviving and thriving in the Looker Bureau. She is the godmother and primary babysitter of the Tranmetsewlive children, whom she adores, especially Mort.

Mable: In 2031 she was released from her plea deal and allowed to travel freely. She provided input for the redevelopment of the other cities of Kalos. She has also become the formal Pokémon Professor of Lumiose, Professor Sycamore having retired.

Grisham: His hard work has finally paid off as people no longer see Team Flare Nouveau as criminals. The Nouveau Cafe has been forced to close due to poor sales, but he has since become the sous chef of Restaurant Tastopolis.

Griselle: Much like her brother, she also works at Restaurant Tastopolis. She also picked up an interest in board games and hosts a board games club at the Lumiose Community Centre on Saturday afternoons.

Korrina: After the events of the Mega Dimension DLC Korrina had to leave Team MZ and return to Shalour City to resume her duties as its Gym Leader. As you might guess Paxton had to fight her during his journey to become Champion, and he admits he only won because of 'pure dumb luck'. The fact that Paxton is now Champion means Korrina now works for him, not that she minds. They are still good friends and Korrina is one of the people the Tranmetsewlive parents trust to babysit.

Ansha: After gifting Rayquaza to Paxton Ansha settled down in Lumiose City and attended school there, alongside managing her donut shop. She was unfortunately stricken by leukemia during her teenage years, but thankfully she managed to kick the disease's ass and emerge stronger than ever. She and Paxton are still friends and Paxton is a regular customer of hers. As an adult Ansha is still a very sweet and happy young woman, but her personality has picked up a notable snarky edge and she is quite quick-witted.

I'm also going to point out that Urbain and Harmony both exist in the Poly Paxton AU:

Urbain: He was not a member of Team MZ but provided his sister and her friends with help whilst they were wrangling the Rogue Mega Evolution crisis. After the events of the game, Urbain took over Hotel Z and has been running it ever since.

Harmony: She is Paxton's twin sister, older by three minutes. She remained in Paldea whilst Paxton ventured to Lumiose, and she trained in Pokémon battling at the same time as her brother. In 2031, shortly after her brother's rise as Champion, Harmony was appointed as a member of Paldea's Elite Four after Hassel was forced into retirement following a major health scare.

Personality:

Six years his junior, Naveen’s younger sister Nelly didn’t see him for a while after he had to run away following the spat between him and his grandmother. Whilst Naveen was helping his Team MZ comrades handle the Rogue Mega Evolution crisis in the central districts, Nelly continued her education at North Lumiose Secondary School. During her second year of secondary school she was fortunate enough to be placed in a class with Mr. Ramigan, an enthusiastic teacher who really knew how to get his students excited. His fun-loving demeanour soon had Nelly excited to learn, and by the end of the year she knew she wanted to be a teacher just like him. After she graduated from secondary school in 2032 she pursued a teaching degree in college and graduated with flying colours, soon taking up a teaching post at North Lumiose Secondary School. Most notably, she is Seine and Loire’s Kalosian teacher.

Nelly always begins each class with a little musical to get her students in the mood to learn, and her teaching style combines a mixture of standard explanations, games and walkthroughs of the homework questions. She always looks out for her students and is happy to answer any questions they may have, and she is always eager to help her students out if they’re struggling with their tasks. She makes sure her classroom is a safe, inclusive space free of bullying and harassment and where everyone is accepted equally. Overall, her students love her and think of her and their favourite teacher, and she loves them back.

Outside of teaching she is also a cinephile and keeps up to date on the latest movies. She runs an online blog where she reviews movies and has often used them in her Kalosian curriculum to analyse their plots, characters and themes. Her favourite movie is the 2030 adventure movie Bulbasaur’s Odyssey - she like many of the aspects of the movie, but her favourite part of it is by far Lida Tranmetsewlive’s performance as Bulbasaur’s trainer Pollux Astella.

After Naveen left home he and Nelly were distant for a while, but after Nelly’s graduations she came to understand how hurtful her grandmother’s words had been on Naveen and sought him out to mend fences. Thankfully her brother accepted her heartfelt apology and they are currently on good terms. Nelly was also instrumental in getting Naveen’s grandmother Niyla to see the error of her ways, and they were able to patch things up on her deathbed.

The other Tranmetsewlives are good friends too, and she is one of the people Paxton trusts to babysit his children. She also tutors Naissa, Vie and Mort in Kalosian whenever they need that bit of extra help with their studies (although Mort can usually do it by himself).

Personality:

Ivor Shiro’s adoptive son Adam came into his life shortly before the Tranmetsewlives’ marriage. Ivor found the boy wrapped up in a basket just outside the Justice Dojo after closing up one night. Attached to the boy’s blanket was a note explaining his biological mother was fleeing an abusive relationship and unable to take care of him. Now most people would have gone to the police when confronted with something like this, but it’s said that as soon as Ivor’s eyes fell on the boy, a bond was struck. Ivor took the boy home with him, and the rest was history.

Adam is like his father in a lot of ways. When he was six his father enrolled him in the Justice Dojo to train him in martial arts - partly as a way to pass on his legacy, and partly to give Adam the tools to defend himself after a scare where he was nearly kidnapped. He has proven one of the Justice Dojo’s brightest students and possesses a brown belt - he is able to go toe-to-toe with the adult members of the dojo, and even WIN against them! He also has trappings of his father’s tendency to prefer brawn over brains - he knows to think before acting, but when push comes to shove he will come swinging at a problem with his fists.

His first Pokémon was a Machoke he caught when he was eight, and Ivor is training him to become a Fighting-type specialist. He’s pretty well-versed in the type and how to respond to its weaknesses and hopes to become a member of the Kalos Elite Four when he is older. His favourite Pokémon is Falinks, since he thinks its Mega Evolution looks so cool! He’s also fond of Hitmontop after he caught sight of that cute dance it does when it’s idling in battle.

He has something of a friendly rivalry with Seine Tranmetsewlive, his best friend whom he met at North Lumiose Secondary School. They have a weekly battle on Thursdays after school, and Seine always wins them, but Adam is convinced that the next one will be the one he wins! His aunt Gwynn and his cousin Cardinal are close too and Gwynn is usually the one to babysit Adam when Ivor needs to handle something, although Adam often wishes her Ghost-type Pokémon weren't immune to his team’s Fighting-type moves.

Of course, Adam also differs from his father in certain ways. Most notably, although Ivor has outgrown his clumsiness it seems to have transferred to Adam, and quite often his father has to clean up after little disasters like a knocked-over glass or an accidental injury. Ivor is now really regretting his past behaviour and admits he now knows how his sister felt about his antics when they were younger, something he has repeatedly apologised for.
