Pondering the masuda method

I've recently started breeding for a shiny Gastly using the Masuda method, and was curious if anyone ever encountered a shiny very early doing this method.

I've only hatched 86 eggs so far with this method. D: I'm getting impatient, but who knows, I might get lucky after 100 eggs...as long as it doesn't take over 200 eggs. OTL This method doesn't seem to reliable this way, but it's easier than the PokeRadar...

I bred over 600 magikarp eggs.. over 1000 eevee eggs over probably a month.. No luck. Then I got into RNG Breeding. and got a shiny eevee after 6 minutes.
