Population of pokemon world

What is the estimated population
Not just who has been on screen but based on the size of cities and towns what is the best estimate

Anyone?

Yea there are definitely fewer humans in the PokeWorld. I mean if you go by the game, its A LOT fewer, and even in the anime it seems like the towns and even the big cities are a lot smaller than our big cities.
 
Bulbapedia has the demographics for every town in every game. Of course I'm not about to sit down and add all of those up... plus all of the NPCs on routes, caves, forests, etc.
 
Man Pokemon fans seem to be really bad at thinking outside the box when it comes to the game world. Don't you know that the game card couldn't fit a full, realistic world and it's unimportant to the gameplay so the towns are smaller versions of themselves? I bet you guys think that when you're walking through grass pokemon materialize out of thin air too :/

That's not quite thinking outside the box. That's looking at it from a game player's perspective. What I think the original poster was looking for was more of an "if this was real" perspective.

Figure like 1-200 for cities
big cities at 300 to 350
Towns probably like 100 or less
Alright looks like that's the best we can do.

Just curious is why I want to know.
Thought there might be like an Official estimate or somethin
 
But then, some of the people in the Pokeworld, don't even live in towns or cities. They may be traveling, or have a house in the middle of a route or something.
 
Thinking realistically, the populations would be similar to our world's populations--they'd be based on the size of the city/town/village in general?
 
Yea I didn't really think about the games when I thought about this question. I'm sure its similar to our world, although we don't really know for sure.
 
all you have to do is play all the games and every time ya see a person add a tally mark -_0 of course no one will do it.
