Popular artist Noahnova has said the his art of ash and serena in alola was removed. Why would they!? Unless she went.

I rather see a new companion. Honestly, I couldn't get interested in Serena's character especially with the crush and amourshipping being constantly implied. So, no I don't think she would come to Alola. Probably stays to attempt the Kalos Queen thing next time and improve her skills.

I remember a month or so ago that TPCI was taking quite a few Pokemon fanart images off of sites like Redbubble, so I don't think it was specifically just due to Serena wearing an Alola outfit. It's also a pretty huge conclusion to jump to in general. Just because they take down one person's fanart of Serena doesn't mean that it's confirmation or even hinting that she could be in the next series. Not to mention it wouldn't make sense when going to Alola wouldn't help with her goal and they've clearly setup for Serena's departure with Palmero anyway.
