I'm not sure if this would fit into the "Rate my one pokemon!" thead, so I made a new thead...
Anyways, I'm to the point where I can get Yveltal, but my problem is that this is likely to be my one & only Yveltal & I want to make it count...
However, I don't think anyone made any stragities for it yet, so I made some myself.
Now I need help finishing some of them & picking the best one...

So here are the stragities I have so far:

To whoever the artist of this pic is:
Excellent job!

Dark/Flying
Dark Aura ability
HP: 126
Attack: 131
Defense: 95
Sp.Atk: 131
Sp.Def: 98
Speed: 99
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Yveltal's Substitute
Nature: Modest
Item: Leftovers
Substitute, Oblivion Wing, Dark Pulse, Toxic
Evs: (undetermined)

Use Substitute to block status & some other nasty moves while getting more HP to create more Substitutes with Leftovers & Oblivion Wing.
I think there should be enough HP EV to create 101 HP Substitutes, then have enough Defense & Sp.Def so they are a little harder to break & put the rest into Sp.atk.
Toxic is for the walls that Yveltal can quite break though, as long as they're not Steel-type.
I found that Dark & Flying have perfect neutual coverage together, but Focus Blast could be used for greater super-effective coverage.
The Modest nature is probaly best so Oblivion Wing can hit as hard as possible to restore as much HP as possible.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Y-shaped Claws
Nature: Adamant or Jolly
Item: (Flying Gem currently not available)
Hone Claws, Sucker Punch, Steel Wing, Acrobatics
EVs: 6 HP, 252 Attack & Speed

Hone Claws is the only move Yveltal can use to incease it's attack & it also raises accuracy, so it makes Steel Wing have a 100% hit rate, which is used against Rock, Ice & Fairy-types.
Sadly, Flying Gem isn't available, so Yveltal should hold nothing so it can make full use of it's best physical Flying-type attack.
However, one could make it hold a Life Orb or Muscle Band & use it's second best physical Flying attack, Fly...
The EVs where simple to decide.
Which is best out of Adamant or Jolly is to be debated...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Miyed (mixed spelled with a Y instead of a X)
Nature: (undetermined)
Item: Weakness Policy
Obilvion Wing, Sucker Punch, Substitute, Steel Wing
Evs: (undetermined)

This set uses what I think to be Yveltal's best STAB attacks.
Hopefully the Weakness Policy works though Substitute, so Yveltal can be safely be hit with super effective attacks to sharply boost both of it's attacking stats... & while Electric-type may be more of a problem, Yveltal can hit Rock, Ice & Fairy-types back with Steel Wing.
The nature shouldn't lower it's Attack, Sp.Atk or Speed, but I'm not sure which defensive stat is safer to lower...
& the EVs should give 101 HP Subtitutes, but after that I'm not sure what the best EV combonation would be best...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Destruction Specs
Nature: Modest or Timid
Item: Choice Specs
Dark Pulse, Hurricane, Focus Blast, Oblivion Wing or U-turn
EVs: 6 HP, 252 Sp.Atk & Speed

Dark Pulse, Hurricane & Focus Blast are Yveltal's most powerful special attacks.
Oblivion Wing could be used for better accuracy than Hurricane & to heal Yveltal or it could take a scouting role & use U-turn, which won't hit very hard on this set...
The EV spread is obivious...
Modest or Timid is to be debated.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Destruction Band
Nature: Adamant or Jolly
Item: Choice Band
Sucker Punch, Steel Wing, Fly, U-turn or Dragon Rush
EVs: 6 HP, 252 Attack & Speed

This set uses Yveltal's best physical attacks while holding an item.
U-turn for scouting or Dragon Rush to beat Dragon-types with.
I need not explain the EVs.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Smokin' Scarf
Nature: (undetermined)
Item: Choice Scarf
Oblivion Wing, Dark Pulse, Steel Wing, U-turn or Sucker Punch or Hurricane
EVs: (undetermined)

This set will solve Yveltal's slight speed problem.
For the last move, U-Turn for scouting, Sucker Punch if one is worried about moves like Bullet Punch, Ice Shard, Etc. & Hurricane for a stronger Flying STAB.
The nature should be the same as the Miyed set & the EVs should be similar, but without HP.

Yveltal should be running mixed or special pretty much all the time, so I wouldn't recommend Band. Hone Claws is a bad move, and Steel Wing is too low power and it only has 90 acc, so it's not worth wasting a move slot for a move that's only 140 power 90 acc on Fairies when Oblivion Wing is 120 power 100 acc 75% healing on them already. Sub is kinda worthless as Uveltal does not need to boost up to be threatening and it is better at stalling when running this set:

Yveltal@Leftovers
Dark Aura
248 HP/8 Def/252 Sp Def
Calm
-Taunt
-Toxic
-Foul Play
-Roost

This wrecks stall teams and stalls offense teams. It can wall Ghost, Grass, and Fighting Arceus, among (many) others, and even after Stealth Rock is not 2HKOed by Scarf Palkia. It will destroy defensive Pokemon with Toxic/Roost, out stalling Chansey, Blissey, and support Groudon. Taunt prevents status, rendering subs unnecessary. Foul Play 2HKOes Arceus Ghost and Ho-Oh and OHKOes Rayquaza after Stealth Rock.

That's the set I might run, but I don't play Ubers too often.

Hmm... based upon it's stat spread, I kind of figured it'd be OU...
& I have always preferred a more offensive playing style, regardless of what game I'm playing...
Would my Miyed set work if I use a different move instead of Steel Wing?
Or does anyone knows a set that uses Oblivion Wing, or is it unnessecary due to Roost?
(kinda thought that attacking & healing at the same time would be an advantage...)
But I'm considering using that UBER stall set...

It's Uber for sure, that thing is a monster. 99 speed puts it ahead of most box legends, and it's Specs/Scarf set is lethal (can OHKO Giratina-A, Arceus-Ghost, Arceus-Steel, Wobuffet, Tyranitar, and Darkrai with SR or Spikes, and 2HKOes Dialga, Arceus Fairy, Xerneas, and Ferrothorn). A better mixed set than yours would be

Yveltal@Dread Plate
Dark Aura
252 Sp Atk/224 Speed/32 Atk
Mild/Hasty
-Dark Pulse
-Oblivion Wing
-Sucker Punch
-Roost

Yveltal's Sucker Punch is the most powerful priority move in the game, OHKOing Mewtwo and Ho-Oh and 2HKOing Palkia and Arceus Ghost. Oblivion Wing is there for coverage, and combined with Roost let's you laugh at those Sneaky Pebbles.

If you want a more physical mix, you could try

Yveltal@Flying Gem
Dark Aura
252 Atk/224 Speed/32 Sp Atk
Lonely/Adamant
-Acrobatics
-Sucker Punch
-Dark Pulse
-Roost

This murders pink blobs and also beats Giratina.

The only set where you would run Oblivion Wing and not also have Roost is the Specs/Scarf set, which is

Yveltal@Choice Specs/Choice Scarf
Dark Aura
252 Sp Atk/224 Speed/32 HP
Modest/Timid
-Dark Pulse
-Hurricane
-Oblivion Wing
-Focus Blast/U-Turn

Which, as mentioned before, is lethal but lacks recovery outside of Oblivion Wing.
