Hey everybody! Posting from my WII! Everybody with a WII, stop by with the Opera browser and say hi!

You have the Opera Browser on the DS? If so, then yeah! Go right ahead!

Yup yup. Not at the second, but it's super handy to have when out and about and needing to check my e-mail.

Where'd you get it? I heard it was only available in Japan.

Where'd you hear that? It's been in english for ages. I nearly bought one about August last year and I'm in Australia.

Well. Now I feel like an idiot. Oh well. Christmas is coming. To TOYS R US!

Typing out phrases can be annoying though.
I'm doing it right now!

It's nice, but slow at first. If you're at a place with free wi-fi then it's a cool, transparent device to have, but otherwise inconvenient for any long winded web browsing. Most things need to be placed in manually, but you do have shortcuts like '.com' '.org' and auto complete for assumed words. You can either 'type' or use the free hand letter recognition to write in words (but not all strokes seem to be recognized). You need to be at a site to favorite them (favoriting things is key, otherwise navigating is just not worth it.)

There are different options for viewing, overview or single column. In overview you drag the site around zoomed in while one screen is the zoomed out portion of the entire site. Single column condenses everything (some pictures omitted) into an organized block of text so you just scroll straight down.

And if you want to use Youtube, think again. Flash/Shockwave isn't supported so that cuts down on any online mini-games. I'm not so sure about Java, but I think that's not supported either.

Yeah. I just use the DS browser for checking e-mail and the like. It's nice when you don't have everything else, but I'd definitely rather plop myself down at a computer.
