Potentially missed part of the scans

First of all apologies if I've done this in the wrong place. I couldn't find a general scans thread.

I was looking at the scans and I quite like trying to find hidden details, when I came upon something I don't think I've heard anyone mention...

On the character scan, at the top part where it says Akuroma and The Rival's names it has a little image beside them. It looks like a bit of character art, possibly from in-game?

Here's the part I mean;

If I had to guess, Akuroma's straight on picture could be the intro where the proffesor introduces you to the game...which would confirm him as being the one who hands you your starters (though I was hoping for Juniper's dad as I thought his inclusion and art was really random in BW)...

The rival's picture looks more actiony, so possibly from the intro of the game (like in hgss where it shows silver).

What do you think? It might just be random art but I don't know why they'd frame it in a rectangular way, and the other character names don't have such images beside them.

It's not a big deal but it could be a slight hint.

Well, as of right now, I would guess that they are both screens from the intro sequence, but maybe when we get better or more scans it will become obvious that they are some sort of cutscene or something.

Just noticed, those are Crustle, behind PC and Achromia. I wonder if they'll be similar to the huddled Psyduck in DPP?

Yeah, but would you want to hurt a whole group of Crustle with that thing? It got a single Sudowoodo mad enough to fight you.

Maybe we'll have to battle them in pair like when we had to help Lance and beat half of those those Electrode in G/S/C and HG/SS.

Probably after you progress through the story the area will open up without having to interact with them at all. They'll just be gone after a certain point letting you progress.
