To receive the pre-order gift on April 22nd am I going to have to also have a "Gamestop Card", so they give me the gift?Or will they give me the gift as long as I preorder, even though I do not have a "Gamestop Card"?

Usually they put your name and phone number into their system, and when you go to retrieve the game, you just have to give you name. Then, they'll look up your name and find your phone number, and you either confirm it or tell it to them (been a while). But, just to be on the safe side, I always hold onto my receipt. In case something's happened to their system, it's a nice paper way of showing you put the money down to pre-order.

You never need a Gamestop Card to retrieve a game you've pre-ordered. Usually that's just for getting a discount.

Ah so that's how it works.
And about the styluses they are giving with the pre-order of the games.
My friend told me you needed a Gamestop Card in order for them to give you the gift[styluses].Do you?

I don't see why you would. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't see why you would. I pre-order my games at an EBGames (owned by the same company as Gamestop) and I've never needed anything other than a name and a phone number.

Last September, when I pre-ordered MD Red, I got the Rescuer's Guide without having to show my EB Edge card (remember that EB and Gamestop are now one and the same). So I doubt that you would have to show any discount card in order to receive the stylus.
