My friend does have one of the most wanted pokemon cards,
an old Charizard, which is worth more than a 1000 dollars.
and he even doesn't know that, he thinks it is a common pokemon card.

Realistically, it isn't. Charizard is just that overrated.
 
I've still got a lot of old holographic cards from the first sets.

Shadowless Holographic Charizard
First Edition Holographic Venasaur
Shadowless Holographic Blastoise
Shadowless Holographic Raichu

Also a fake card someone gave me, it was a Mewtwo witn 999 HP.

Also, a Charizard First Edition Holographic valued an 8 on the condition scale sealed and officially packaged can go up of $1000.
Theres a difference in value and what people will pay however.
 
Mine is a reverse holofoil Golett from the Noble Victories set. It has nothing to do with the value of the card but how I got it.

The night before I bought the pack of cards, I had gotten into an argument with my husband. I felt awful so to cheer myself up, I grabbed a pack of Pokemon cards. But as I was about to walk away, I spotted a second pack and my brain just shut down. Every fiber in my being told me that I wanted that second pack and not the one I was holding. So I grabbed the second pack and bought it. What do I see in the center of the pack when I open it? A reverse holofoil of one of my favorite Pokemon: Golett. I've often said that one bad days, something Bumblebee pops up to cheer me up, making him my guardian angel. It seems now I have a guardian golem as well. Monetary value for that card: not a lot. Sentimental value: through the roof and beyond.
 
I can't exactly call these 'prized', but...

Yesterday I picked up the three Kalos starter decks. You know how they each include booster packs from the Legendary Treasures line?

One of those packs included Mew-EX and another included Skymin-EX . . . and both of them full art versions!
 
I would have to say my favorite set I own is the Pokemon Rumble set I got in a batch from ebay :)

That, and my near complete base, jungle, and Team Rocket sets. I have been collecting for over 10 years o_o

Not to be outdone, today I discover that while I did pick up the Xerneas and Yveltal EX tins, I never opened the packs inside of them: One of them included a full-art Skymin-EX -- meaning I now have two full-art Sky Forme Shaymin-EX.
 
I once bought a box entitled "Knockout collection" from a Rite-Aid. Not only did it contain a promo Lugia, but all three packs of cards inside the box contained a holographic card. One was Espeon Prime, another was Wash Rotom, and I forget what the third one was but I'm pretty sure I still have it.

I also have 32 cards from the Dragon Vault Set (I bought two blisters).

I also bought a Triumphant booster and a Black and White booster. The Triumphant one contained Mew Prime and the Black and White one contained a full-art Zekrom. I also have a full art Reshiram and Tornadus, both of which I got from packs.

I have a holographic Dark Blastoise from the Rocket set. Oh, and did I mention it was a first edition? I also have a first edition Meowth and Dark Raticate.

And finally, a foil Coballion from Emerging Powers just because I have great memories kicking butt with that thing in unofficial tournaments.
 
I just started getting into pokemon after dad died. He was a big fan. Mom sold most of his cards but he had 15 in his truck. My favorite is the Holographic Torterra X.
 
This is more like "lucky finds" than "prized posessions", but today I decided what the heck, pick up that Charizard-EX box...

In one of the packs is an XY Venusaur-EX. (And I already have one MVenusaur-EX.)

Then it has the promo code to unlock a Charizard EX in the online game -- and my online game already has one MCharizard(Y)-EX.
 
Today was a splurge day and I picked up the three starter EX tins (Chesnaught/Delphox/Greninja).

Among the lucky finds today are two Sage Ghetsis, one of them full art; a MVenusaur-EX (that makes two), and a Furfrou sporting the red Kabuki trim.

The packs with Mega Charizard/Lucario pins are showing up in stores! So I picked up one of each. Among the Flashfire packs, I found:

- Three Shinx, two Luxio, and one Luxray

The complete family. Plus a foil Pidgeot ... I should probably update my Brilliant Thunder deck.

I have a few error cards but they're not very valuable and I don't really like them.
 
Today's lucky pull: I picked up two Legendary Treasures packs, acquiring an Excadrill-EX and a full art Meloetta-EX.

(This is the same expansion set that previously yielded a full-art Mew-EX and two full-art Skymin-EX. 'Legendary Treasures' indeed....)
 
Some lucky acquisitions today:

- From some of the packs sold in twos by Fairfield (with a Pokemon Organized Play 2-card pack and 4 foils) came a Celebi-ex and not one but FOUR foil Devolution Beam Mew. And to top it off, two Safeguard Sigilyph (one foil, the other holofoil)
- From a Plasma Blast pack, full-art champion Iris
 
Hello, My prized possession of poekmon cards would be my base set collection, a collection of the original 151 cards spanning from base set to current, full of Lv.X's, EX's, ex's legend cards and etc. And probably my 9 full art meloetta EX cards, I want to make another page of them.
 
Today I decided to pick up the Reshiram and Zekrom tins ... and got a Chandelure. More specifically, Next Destinies Chandelure #101/99 -- a Secret Rare. Neat.
