Problem with mansion pokemon

Can someone help me out? I can almost never find the special mansion pokemon! I try for hours to find them and the only one I've ever found is Eevee when using the pokeradar. Am I doing something wrong? Or not doing something I am supposed to?
 
You know that you have to talk to the mansion owner every day to get new pokemon added to the garden, right? So far I've gotten Meowth, Minun, and Plusle from the garden. Possibly something else I can't recall.
 
Yes, I know that. Something wierd I've discovered, though. If you talk to him a few times after the butler leaves, there's a better chance of finding them. That's what I did when I found Eevee and just a few minutes ago when I found Chansey.
 
Uhh.... no. Talking to him more doesn't improve the chances.... just keep looking. They are rather rare, but will appear.
