So who's excited for the crossover of Proffesor Layton and Phoenix Write:Ace Atorrney , I know I sure am! It May be the Reason I buy 3DS

Anyway I'm a HUGE fan of both series and can't wait for this Finger pointing showdown.

So what are your thoughts about this crossover , are you looking forward to it and will it even be released in other parts of the world aside Japan ?

I'm looking forward to this game as well. It will be one of the games I'll purchase for my future 3DS.
I'm a fan of Layton (even though Curious Village was the only game I played) and Wright always interested me (I still want to get a AA game ;o).

What I'm really looking forward to seeing in this crossover is how the Puzzle Solver and Lawyer interact. Reading/watching them bicker and coming to disagreements would be fun to experience xD

Of course another thing I'll be looking forward to are the puzzles. I enjoyed Curious Village's puzzles a lot, especially when I finally find the answer to a puzzle I get stuck on for more than 3 days >_> Haven't experienced AA's puzzles/cases/mysteries but I'm sure I'll like and will get the hang of it (I'm no stranger to solving mysteries and playing as a lawyer).
What would be sweet if they had something (chances are they will) where they fuse both Layton's and AA's format of puzzles/cases into one. That would be very cool and probably challenging.

Thinking about this game makes me want to get a 3DS ASAP 9__9

As if Ace attorney wasn't hard enough , In fact I think its harder than the PL games. The evidence and puzzles will probably be linked as one, at least thats what I'm thinking.
I will also probably getting A 3DS for PL 5 And PW:AA 4

If this game makes it to Korea (I live in Korea so there's the region lock thingy to consider), I'd definitely buy a 3DS to play it. :3

I like both series (Professor Layton and Ace Attorney) so this is a game I'm really looking forward to. Initially I thought this wasn't going to be released outside Japan but seems the game will be released in other regions too.

I wasn't keeping up with the news until @Mijzelffan; reminded me of the game. Here's a trailer:

The music is awesome, especially the remake of 'Objection' music.

The music is indeed awesome @_@ The whole trailer is awesome xD (that flying creature looks like a beast)
It would be cool if the "apprentices" of Layton and Wright work for each others Senseis :D

If the animation quality is going to be like that on the 3DS (if not better) than it's a win for me (d^ ^)d

I still have to pinch myself every time I remember this game is coming out; Professor Layton and Ace Attorney, two of my favourite video games series introduced in modern gaming in the same game!? Although I am curious about what time period the game will take place in. The Ace Attorney games are set in the not too distant future, whereas the Professor Layton games seem to take place in the late 70's at the very latest. How exactly are the two series about to intertwine with each other?

...Oh, never mind! How could a game with both the awesomely difficult and taxing puzzles of Layton and the exciting courtroom scenes of Ace Attorney be anything less than one of the most incredible and enjoyable titles in the history of gaming? It's the main reason why I wanted to get a 3DS early on, and I couldn't be more excited for its release.

@Mintaka; subbed is probably better, since most people here don't speak Japanese ;P

I'm also interested to see the relationship between Maya and Luke and to see them bond.

The game was released in Japan, and among the trailers, they show the first trial in the game.
The videos are spoiler-heavy, especially if you can read Japanese.

First part of the video and second part of the video.

I'm already loving the effects fitting well with 3DS and still keeping the Ace Attorney touch; the flash effect, 'ting' sound, and that tearing-like sound all return from AA games. Due to the game being on 3DS, characters move 'on live'. I also love the fact that sometimes the prosecutor and the witness are voiced. And of course, the music is great. In the second video you can hear the remix of the cross examination music from the first Ace Attorney game, and from 7:37, you can hear the objection music remix.

I'd love to have this game come out in English, two fantastic franchises combined, I have high hopes. If I ever get a 3DS, this game is at the top of the list.

THIS IS A THING

LIKE THIS IS LEGIT?

Why have I not heard of this? I hope this comes out in English, this sounds like unfathomably amazing.
