Has anyone here managed to fight him in Gen I? I did it using the Ditto glitch. For those that don't know what I'm talking about, Professor Oak was supposedly going to be an opponent in the First gen, but was taken out. Going by his levels, he would've been either a champion, or bonus boss like Cynthia. His team is made up of Tauros, Gyarados, Exeggutor, Arcanine, and whichever starter you and your Rival didn't choose.

I believe there was speculation of having to battle him after completing the Pokedex or beating the Elite 4 the second time. Judging by the levels this would also make sense.

I... have never heard of such thing before.

But tell us, how was the experience of fighting the Okido Hakase?

I've never battled oak! I want to.... I want to battle his Charizard... (remember pokemon 4ever Sammy (Oak) had a charmeleon, so now it MUST be charizard! After 20 years YES!)

It was epic. The glitch relies on the special attack stat of the last pokemon you faced. The one I did got me a Oak with a Blastoise and the pokemon mentioned above. His pokemon were pretty strong, but their movesets were a bit...lacking.

wow, never knew you could do this. they should have added it to the game
