For Project Cities and Towns and Project Locations, I gave proper logos. For Project Games, I updated and transparisized the logo. However, Maverick Nate keeps deleting them. I will attach them here, and how about a vote, eh?

They're pretty crappily pixelated, especially the edges of the circles. What'd you use, Paint?

Ah ha, I figured it out. I was using an old template for the circle, not a newer, semi-transparent edged one. Oh, and I was using Paint.NET.

Always bring it up in the discussion page first. That's what happens 99.99% of the time. Changes like that require permission, nya?

I just figured that, as the rest of the projects have, these projects should get rightful logos (and Project Games just needs updating)

Well, it should be cleaned up at least, if you plan to do them, and don't pixelate stuff...

I fixed them up, but Maverick Nate got fussy over this and deleted them.

EDIT: See what I mean through my Gallery:
voila!

Uhm... yeah, no... I mean I haven't even seen the old ones, I mean, great try and everything but they just... no.

Ah holy crudheaps!

Kenji just put an AMAZING new one up for Project COD. This proves something: do it high-res. We can thumbnail later, and then the size is even more variable!

Project logo unheaval

How about asking the project leaders if they want their logo changed first before uploading new ones out of the "generosity" of you hearts?

Because this thing: http://archives.bulbagarden.net/wiki/File:Project_Shipping_logo.png is a monstrosity. No, it's /not/ cool. It's fanart. It might be official art, but it's official art shucked into a collage, /making/ it fanart. And there's now /fanart/ plastered ragingly large on the Shipping Project page and on the damn template banner.

I would wholly appreciate having back the original sprite-work Optimatum used. Because this shouldn't be a three-person decision. Pixelation or not (which was never a problem), it still represents the project more than that does. Slathering a bunch of femmy pogeys into a circle and you think THAT represents 'shipping as a whole? No, it doesn't.

EDIT: *face palm* Screw me, I forgot we had the other thread. Merge, pls?

Re: Project logo unheaval

it's not fan art, it's compilation of official arts

Re: Project logo unheaval

I addressed that, thank you.

It might be official art, but it's official art shucked into a collage, /making/ it fanart.
Fanart is described as artwork done or made by someone who is not the original artist/author/what-have-you. That might all be "official" artwork in separate pieces, but someone unofficial had to make it look like that. Hence, it's a fanwork.

Re: Project logo unheaval

You think it's that horrible? I think it makes a lot of sense. Though it could be better, like using pics of different shippings, but you'd consider it fanart too...
